for sure its no longer established because it likely did not attempt this contained in the first position. IM SAVING A MOUSE, WHAT TO DO?
First off, go wash your hands with soap and hot water if you touched the mouse, or touched anything that it touched. Then take the old hamster cage outside and put it in the shade with the door open. Come back in an hour or so, and if the mouse is dead throw everything in the cage away. If you want to keep the cage, disinfect and scrub it with a solution of bleach and hot soapy water. If its still alive, leave it there until the mouse is gone. If it happens again, put the mouse outside as soon as you can. The shock of being in a box is enough to kill some little animals.

how do i get rid of this mouse ?
I've seen mice in my house off and on throughout the years. Get a box that's not too deep or big has a lid, besides a thin, fairly sturdy slice of cardboard, and keep them handy. Odds are, when you see the mouse, it is not always running around. We keep dry cat food on the floor for our cat, and several times I've seen a mouse nibbling from it. Another time, I saw one just sitting on our living room floor. When you see one, do not run away. If it sees or hears you, it will be so scared, and it is not about to bite you. Sometimes they will huddle down in one spot, hoping you wo not see them. If you see one moving, get your box, the lid and cardboard sheet, and quietly approach it. Do the same if you see it sitting in one place. Kneel down enough so that you can put the bottom of the box down over the mouse. If you just drop it down, you will scare the mouse and it will run. Once the box is covering it, slide the cardboard sheet under the box, then hold the cardboard tightly down on top so you can turn the box upright without the mouse getting out. Once the box is up, with the open part facing you, you will be able to put the cover on. Believe me, the mouse will be too scared to try and get out. (A rat would be different.) Then just carry the box outside, put it on the ground, take off the lid and turn the open box sideways. (If you are too scared to stay nearby after that, just walk away and watch.) At first the mouse will hesitantly leave the edge of the box, but once he realizes he's free, he will run, and away from you, not towards you! Just remember, do not be afraid of it, and good luck!
