There used to be a comfortable 96-key red-axis keyboard in front of me. NZXT FUNCTION series provides simple black and white two-color options. There are three different configurations: 88-key Mini TKL, 87-key TENKEYLESS and 104-key FUNCTION. Because I personally like to bring a small keyboard and the table is relatively large, I chose the 104-key version.

The product packaging is very simple, what you see in the pictures is what you get, and when you see the renderings, the black keyboard with purple lights looks very nice.

After taking out the keyboard, I stared at it for a long time, and it was very simple when it was not powered on. Thinking carefully about the last time I bought a black keyboard, it seems that it has been many years ago, and mechanical keyboards were not popular at that time. The upper cover of the keyboard is made of aluminum metal, which is simple and textured as a whole.

This pure black color scheme looks ordinary at first glance, but it gets better and better as time goes on. The full-size size with keypad is a favorite of "old die-hards" like me. The NZXT logo on the upper right corner of the keyboard is also the same color as the keyboard, which is very low-key.

The keycaps adopt a floating design, and when viewed from the side, you can find that the height of each row of keycaps is different. On the left side of the keyboard, there is a scroll wheel + three shortcut keys. The scroll wheel can be used to adjust the volume, which is very convenient to operate. The three shortcut keys are used for mute, Win lock and lighting effect brightness switching.

In order to facilitate the needs of different users and bring a more comfortable experience, there are two-stage tripods at the bottom of the keyboard.

This keyboard comes with a palm rest with a small inclination, which can further enhance the comfort of long-term use. The palm rest is installed with magnetic suction, which fits perfectly with the keyboard, no additional purchase is required.

The hand rest is made of rubber material, with 7 rows of large round sunken particles, which is comfortable to the touch. For added stability, there are eight non-slip pads on the back of the hand rest.

Use the supplied key puller to remove the keycap and take a look. The keycap is made of ABS material with smooth surface coating and delicate touch, which can bring good light transmission.

As for the shaft body, there is currently only one version of the Jiadalong red shaft body, which is a linear shaft body, with a life span of 50 million times, a trigger pressure of 45±15gf, and a downstroke stroke of 2.0±0.6mm.

At present, the mainstream keyboards on the market all support hot-swappable solutions, which can accommodate all MX switches and are suitable for personalized customization of players. Just pay attention to aligning the holes when disassembling and assembling, which is very convenient.

At night, the brightness of the lights is soft and not dazzling, and the transition of colors is very natural.

There are four groups of keyboard lighting effects, which can be adjusted by pressing FN+F1~F4. Compared with the keyboards of several brands I have used before, NZXT Enjie's lighting effects are a little less.

But I have to say that the Jiadalong red axis is really comfortable when typing. There is no sense of paragraph when typing, and it is crisp and neat. It is very suitable for people like me who have been coding for a long time!

I have to praise this palm rest, it is neither soft nor hard, and the material is skin-friendly, much more comfortable than wooden ones.

NZXT FUNCTION is full-sized with a small keyboard, which is also extremely friendly to "old antiques" like me.

After work, it is very convenient to adjust the volume through the scroll wheel on the left side of the keyboard when watching movies and watching dramas.

In addition, this keyboard supports NZXT CAM software control, daily monitoring of CPU, GPU, RAM, network, storage and other data.

It also supports lighting effect settings, and also has a macro editing function. It can maintain 4 onboard configurations and switch with shortcut keys, which is convenient for use in different scenarios.
