A fully see-through CK75 polar bear, really beautiful

A box of ice cubes on the desktop, the ultimate transparency - CK75 Polar Bear

Helium, long time no see.

The use of transparent designs on mechanical keyboards is nothing new, and the understanding of transparency varies from company to company.

Since the yield rate of fully transparent keyboards is more difficult to control than conventional keyboards, the various connections and couplings inside the mechanical keyboard will also make the fully transparent look messy.

Let’s take a look at a fully transparent design today: CK75 Polar Bear, and see how CK understands transparency.

Compared with other transparent keyboards, CK75 is more radical in "transparency".

Almost all the parts you can see are made of transparent materials, whether it is the keycap shaft body or the keyboard shell, they all adopt a custom transparent design.

The positioning board uses a mirror plating process, which makes the whole keyboard more shiny in terms of visual perception, and at the same time cleverly hides non-transparent materials such as PCB and silicone pad.

Any language to describe the appearance of this keyboard is extremely pale. I believe that as long as you see it, you will understand how beautiful it is. Putting it on the table is like a box of unthawed ice cubes. Summer is coming, and a cold keyboard like this will feel much cooler when placed on the table.

Turning on the light is even more amazing. If the light is adjusted to light blue, it is really crystal clear like an ice lamp.

The USB storage compartment is under the small polar bear metal nameplate in the lower right corner of the keyboard. When the nameplate is opened through the combination of magnets, the receiver will pop out slightly for easy access.

The keycap is made of PC pure transparent material, with excellent workmanship and without any scratches and burrs.

The surface characters adopt silk screen printing process, and the surface is covered with two layers of UV curing protective materials to enhance the surface strength and wear resistance of the keycaps. The large key pattern will have some small bumps to the touch.

The keycaps feel very slippery, and feel a bit like oiled ABS, but even if this keyboard is oiled, you can't tell it, it is pure and transparent after all.

The typing feel of the entire keyboard is very similar to the feeling of pressing ice cubes into water.

The switch body is CK's customized "ice blade" switch body, and customized elements can be seen everywhere on this keyboard.

It is made of fully transparent material and has a dust-proof wall design. If you look carefully, you can see the spring and shrapnel inside the shaft.

The feel of the ice blade axis is very special. Although it is a paragraph axis, the trigger of the paragraph is extremely forward. As long as the finger is slightly pressed down, the shaft section will be triggered, and the second half is the feel of a normal linear shaft. Pressing it gives me a feeling of a thin-film silicone bowl.

This time, the satellite shaft of CK75 uses nickel-titanium alloy memory steel wire, which is softer than ordinary steel wire, so as to prevent the satellite shaft from producing wire sound over time.

The sound performance of the whole keyboard can be said to be "ready to use", but the satellite axis of this keyboard in my hand does not seem to cooperate with the space bar so perfectly. It scrapes against the space bar cap when pressed, producing an uncomfortable fricative sound.

This problem can be solved with a few drops of lubricant, and it is the only flaw in the whole keyboard.

Finally, let’s take a look at the accessories. The CK75’s accessories are extremely rich. When you open the box, you can smell a strong scent of sweet-scented osmanthus.

In addition to the keyboard body, the package also comes with

● Spring braided aviation plug-in wire

● Replaceable space bar cap

● Includes replaceable keycaps for keypad

● Four large key switches

● Two spaces filled with sound-absorbing foam

● key puller

● A soft cloth for wiping the keyboard

● Plastic dust cover

● Ammunition box

● Fragrant osmanthus slices

A whole piece of replaceable keycaps has a set of numeric keypads in addition to the commonly used large keys. If you have a keyboard with a higher configuration and want to use this set of fully transparent keycaps is also enough.

The trigger pressure of the large key shaft is higher than that of the built-in ice blade shaft, but it is not transparent.

I changed it and tried it, and the feel will be slightly different, but for the sake of appearance, I still recommend using the original ice blade shaft.

Finally, let’s look at the dismantling. It is not recommended to disassemble it by yourself after buying it. The configuration inside is already full, and there is no need to modify it.

The entire casing mold of CK75 is custom-made with extremely small tolerances. It is easy to scratch the casing when it is disassembled. How distressed it is to scratch such a transparent casing.

I was very careful when I took it apart, for fear of spoiling the shell.

The keyboard has a total of 9 layers

● PC high-transparency customized keycaps

● Fully transparent top cover

● Fully transparent ice blade shaft

● Glossy electroplating positioning plate

● Pure white Poron axle pad

● Pure white silicone sandwich

● Pure white PCB

● Pure white silicone base pad

● Transparent bottom case

This shell is really outrageous.

The mirror plating process is used for the positioning plate, so you must be extremely careful when changing the shaft and disassembling, as fingerprint scratches will be very obvious on it.

The satellite shaft is a nickel-titanium alloy satellite shaft, which is softer and less prone to deformation than ordinary steel wire satellite shafts, and there will be no steel wire sound after long-term use

It is recommended to order some lubricating oil for the satellite shafts on both sides. The oil that comes with the original factory is a little less.

The sandwich pad and the pad under the shaft are pure white, which matches the transparency of the entire keyboard.

The custom PCB is also pure white, with the CK75 logo on the front.

There are a total of three visible chips on the PCB, two MCUs of Yizhaowei with independent antenna design, and a power management IC of Nanlin.

In terms of delay, I have limited conditions and can't test it for the time being, and I can't find the delay test results of CK75 in the whole network. However, Mr. Chitong tested the delay of CK98 a while ago. As a product of the same series from the same manufacturer, it can be used as a simple data reference.

The battery capacity is 3750 mAh, and the battery life is not strong. If the brightness is full, it can only last for a day.

The bottom case is also fully transparent with a spindle pattern and a CK nameplate in the center.

What can be done for the sake of appearance? CK told us the answer with practical actions.

In order to create a fully transparent keyboard, CK75 polar bear, from the shaft body to the keycap, to the shell and the internal PCB filling, some designs on the entire keyboard are for the appearance.

Naturally, there is a price for beauty, so you have to be extra careful when using this keyboard.

The high-transparency and high-brightness shell is easier to scratch than ordinary keyboards. The stains on large keys such as space and enter will be more obvious under the light. If it is not cleaned for a long time, it will affect the look and feel of the entire keyboard.

If you are not so cold about transparency, CK also has other translucent color keyboards, which are much easier to clean and maintain.

But I still prefer this polar bear color scheme. This is the most beautiful keyboard I have ever used this year.
