My work requires me to type crazy every day, at least 50,000 to 80,000 words per month, with a peak record of 120,000 words, and this Durgod Fusion is a keyboard that has accompanied me for a long time, and it has indeed exposed many problems. I hope it will be helpful to the bosses who are obsessed with the appearance of Fusion.
To be honest, the main reason why I bought it at the time was because Fusion may be the most beautiful keyboard I have ever seen. It was like this when I bought it in February 2021, and it is still like this in nine out of ten cases. Of course, I am specifically referring to the color scheme I have chosen so far, other color schemes are not in my favor.
In fact, before choosing this keyboard, I basically used 104 standard size keyboards, but there is no way, for the sake of looking good, I can only wrong my work habits. In fact, I still do a lot of work on typing numbers. I have used the number keys on it for more than a year. Looking back, I really can't bear to look back!
I prefer the feeling of slightly more key travel and force, but using the switch with too much key travel force for a long time will make my fingers—especially the little finger—very painful. So I basically use brown shafts, and Fusion is no exception. I am very satisfied with its travel and strength. Compared with common switches such as red switches and green switches, my colleagues and I are very satisfied with the cherry brown switches used by Fusion (they are all typing madmen). However, after they praised the keyboard feel, they continued to use the company-issued rubbish keyboard...
In general, Fusion's typing experience is not bad, let's talk about a few places that make me unhappy.
This is a common problem with many non-short-axis keyboards, especially retro-style keyboards. The second day after I bought the Fusion, I found the solid wood wrist rest that had been dusty for a long time and had cracks. Otherwise, I would be disabled sooner or later when I typed with my arm hanging. Completely comfortable, the feeling of typing in zero gravity.
It's not that it can't be connected, but every time the connection process makes you feel that it may not be connected, it is really too slow.
Fusion supports dual Bluetooth devices, but the switching process is just a reconnection, which is another frightening experience. To re-pair the device, you also need to use the key combination to turn on the Bluetooth pairing, but I can't remember this key combination, so I search the Internet temporarily. I just decided to get the little stickers and stick them on the back of the keyboard, hope that saves me some time next time.
The metal frame of the wireless receiver USB is loose, and it basically looks like this now. If you want to pull the metal frame off the computer, please bring a pair of tweezers or pliers, your fingers will definitely not be able to get it out. I also tried some methods to re-fix it, but found that it was all in vain - it should be that the size of the metal frame was not well controlled, even if it was inserted back, it was loose.
And under the Durgod logo in the upper left corner of the keyboard is a storage slot, where the receiver should be placed. But not long after I got the keyboard, the small spring tongue inside was broken, and the receiver couldn’t be put in place when it was put in, it was all up. I often stick it with adhesive tape, so the Durgod word on the magnetic cover is very mottled, which is definitely not the case in normal use.
4. The switch is loose
This was discovered only recently, and although the function is not affected, the feel of the switch is obviously degrading. One is that it cannot be pushed to the limit position, and the other is that the sense of passage is not clear, and it feels a little loose. I am really afraid that it will fall off if I turn it on and off for a few months.
Ok, the rant is over. Another shortcoming that is not a shortcoming is that Battery life is not particularly long-lasting , Charging and keying the keyboard every Monday is a habit I developed after I bought Fusion, and now I have changed to other keyboards, and this habit has also been retained. It may also be because the keyboard has been switched on and off too many times, which has caused the switch to become loose!
Although I have said so much, but Fusion's own job is really nothing to say, and he has always performed well.
So to go back and ask me, if I knew so many problems with Fusion in advance, would I still buy it?
The answer is still YES! buy it!
Because it's so beautiful, it's just a little problem, I just let it go, but the keyboard is ugly, I can't bear it.
