The Corsair K100 RGB is an excellent gaming keyboard. It's well made, feels comfortable to use, and it comes with a removable padded wrist rest. It's compatible with Corsair iCUE software, which lets you customize the RGB backlighting and set macros to any key you want. It has many extra features like dedicated media keys, volume control wheel, multi-function iCUE wheel and six dedicated macro keys. The included Cherry MX Speed switches feel light and responsive to typing, and they're also available in the new Corsair OPX linear switches, which offer a different typing experience than the switches on our unit. It also has a maximum polling rate of 8000Hz, resulting in low latency for a responsive gaming experience.

The Corsair K100 is perfect for the office. It's a comfortable, well-made keyboard with a padded wrist rest and two tilt settings. The Cherry MX Speed switches provide a lightweight typing experience that won't cause fatigue when typing for long periods of time, but typos may be more common due to the short pre-travel distance. They're quiet to type on, so they shouldn't be a bother in an office setting.

HTPC use with the Corsair K100 is disappointing. It's wired, so you need to be sitting close to the TV to use it. It also lacks a trackpad, which means you'll likely need a mouse to navigate the on-screen menus. On the plus side, it has full RGB backlighting and dedicated media keys, making it easy to skip tracks or play/pause content.
