Everyone has their own preferences, I just like different clicking sounds, and I like to play with different computer peripherals with personality.

This time, I stopped in front of the Heijue AK873 three-mode mechanical keyboard, faced with this small matching keyboard, I couldn’t bear it, so I decided to try it out.

1. Appearance tour

AK873 has two colors of "Dawn White" and "Extreme Day Gray". After struggling for a long time, I still chose the more plain Daybreak White.

The feeling of using the real machine is quite comfortable. The overall appearance of the keyboard is relatively simple. The arrangement of the 87 keys is not too compact. There is enough room for finger operation between the keys. Both visually and in terms of experience, it looks very good. Reasonable.

The keyboard shell is ABS, which is tough, hard, and rigid, which is an effective support factor for the product shell.

Heijue’s products often like to design magnetic top covers. On the one hand, it can directly prevent dust physically, and on the other hand, it can artificially create two keycap heights to satisfy my fun.

The MDA height keycap is slightly higher than the original keycap, and the curvature is more inclined to create a comfortable operating feel.

The physical and chemical properties of PBT keycaps are quite stable, and they are not afraid of oiling after long-term use.

This time, Heijue has launched its own new axes - the second generation of Shanlan axis and the second generation of Bi Luo axis. The difference between the two is only 5g in terms of trigger force. The positioning of "Shanlan" is more linear, while the positioning of "Biluo" is more paragraphic; based on these characteristics, I chose the Shanlan axis with better linear effect.

The satellite shaft is easily overlooked in the key ring, and people are often pursuing the key shaft and keycap. In fact, people who have used it for a long time will have more say in how the satellite axis plays a stabilizing role.

AK873 is equipped with a customized satellite shaft this time, which completely matches the shaft body, and it is reasonable to adjust and match with the advance and retreat.

This time it is matched with a pluggable shaft, which is much more flexible than the shaft soldered on the PCB-it's fun! Change as you want, DIY as you like. The shaft seat can be compatible with a variety of shafts, and the 3- and 5-pin shafts can be used with guns.

The pursuit of mute effect, on the one hand, is the result of the new shaft tuning in place, and on the other hand, it is also the built-in sound insulation design of this keyboard:

After reading the product introduction, I can only say that the current key ring is really too curly! The AK873 keyboard makes the non-customized keyboard closer to customization: the noise control of the lower layer of the positioning board is painstakingly arranged, and EVA interlayer cotton, IXPE shaft pad, EVA shaft seat pad and bottom cotton are arranged.

The bottom is hidden, and the 2.4G wireless receiver lies quietly in the small storage compartment.

The design of the bottom of the keyboard follows the mainstream, with 5 non-slip and shock-absorbing rubber feet arranged in a circle, and it also supports two-level height adjustment of the feet, which can give customers room for adjustment of applicability.

AK873 is a three-mode keyboard that supports Bluetooth 5.0+wireless 2.4G+TypeC wired connection. These three modes can almost cover the connection range of most mobile smart devices, especially Bluetooth, which can connect tablets, mobile phones, notebooks and other devices Handle it to death.

In order to effectively avoid the dilemma of "too many monks and too few porridge", in Bluetooth mode, up to 3 devices can be connected for reciprocating switching, so that conflicts can be resolved through channel switching.

The combination of Fn and 1, 2, and 3 keys can respectively bring three specific lighting effects: the default FPS mode, LOL mode, and 37-key office mode. The commonly used keys for each mode are different, so the lighting effect will also be more brilliant.

The conventional multi-shortcut operations of Fn and F1-12 are still inherited, and the functions of multimedia control, mail, browser, my computer, calculator, etc. are all available - "You can use it, but I can't live without it!"

It’s just that the buttons are simple this time, and the relevant function indicator icons are not printed. It takes a while for new users to get familiar with it, but I, an old fan of the Black Jue, can quickly settle in~

Of course, my personal favorite is the colorful feel. I have developed the habit of touch typing for many years, and I rarely look down at the keyboard lights when typing, but the thought of "I don't need it, you must have it" must be the obsession of every consumer!

I also worked hard and bought a lot of things to manage the desktop like this. The two monitors alternate horizontally and vertically to meet the requirements of different usage scenarios.

The original wired keyboard is a little inconvenient in this kind of space. The addition of the three-mode keyboard this time can be regarded as completing the last piece of the puzzle.

The feeling of Shanlaan axis is really good! I'm usually not that sensitive to the trigger force when typing on the keyboard. Except for the black switch and the silver switch, which have a big difference in trigger force, I can't feel much difference in the conventional switch, but this Shanlan switch is indeed easy. Trigger, feels good~

Shanlan axis really feels good when coding in the office. While the trigger feedback is obvious, the sound control is relatively good.

The built-in 2500mAh battery is stable in normal use. I use it for about 3-4 hours a day, and there is still power left after 5 days with the light on; if the light is turned off, the time should be extended a lot.
