I received this keyboard around 8:00 p.m. I tried it in the study room. Is it loud? It should be said that it is very quiet. The sound of the shaft body feels very small, and the sound of the keycap hitting the positioning board is also handled well. Very good, even the large keycaps like the space bar do not have the obvious cavity sound of the mechanical keyboard used in the past. I, who was coding, couldn't hold back my curiosity, so I started to disassemble the keyboard to see why it can be so quiet.

Mute reason 1: MAD height keycaps can effectively reduce the pressing stroke

I have used almost 10 mechanical keyboards, and the Heijue AK816 pro should be my first mechanical keyboard with an adjustment knob. I have experienced it a little bit. For a person who uses a laptop to work at home, this knob is really very practical, especially when listening to songs or watching dramas, when a call comes in, we can use the knob to quickly operate.

Before removing the keycaps, we can see from the side that the keyboard keycaps are of MAD height. Compared with the original factory height and common OEM height, the fingertip contact surface will be larger, which can ensure more comfortable input. It is also beneficial to reduce the working stroke of the shaft body and make the keyboard quieter during work.

What I have to mention is that this triangular indicator light is still very unique. With the cosmic style of the keycap, the sci-fi feeling comes out immediately.

To disassemble this keyboard, we first need to remove the keycap and the adjustment knob. This step should be the fastest and easiest. This keyboard is equipped with a dual-purpose key puller, which can easily remove the keycap. .

Heijue AK816 pro uses thermal sublimation PBT keycaps. Compared with the PBT keycaps I have used before, I feel that the texture of the keycaps of this keyboard is round, and the touch is very comfortable. It does not have the tough touch of other keyboards. .

Sublimation process, natural coloring, clear font color, but it needs to be mentioned that, in order to reduce the weight of the keycap, there is no common rib on the space bar.

Quiet reason 2: Jiadalong G silver pro V2 shaft + lubricated satellite shaft

Friends who have used mechanical keyboards know that when choosing an axis body, we can choose a paragraph axis with a sense of paragraph and a click sound, or a slightly quieter linear axis. If you don’t want the sound of the keyboard to affect other people , some small partners will also choose a silent shaft.

Heijue AK816 pro is equipped with a silent linear switch that has a good reputation in the mechanical keyboard circle - Jiadalong G silver pro V2 switch. Compared with other silent spools, the biggest advantage of this shaft is that its initial pressure and trigger pressure are smaller, and the function can be triggered with a light touch. The benefits brought by this are also obvious. Under the influence of less trigger pressure, the sound of contact between the shaft body, the keycap and the positioning plate will also be smaller.

In the selection of the shaft body of the large key position, the keyboard uses the configuration of the satellite shaft and the balance bar, the feel of the large key position will be more comfortable, the percussion touch is better, and the noise can be effectively avoided.

Carefully observe the satellite shaft, we will find that the shaft body has been lubricated, which is naturally smoother when used, and the force feedback will be more comfortable and accurate.

Mute reason three: PC positioning board + gasket structure + triple sound-absorbing cotton

In fact, I have disassembled several mechanical keyboards, but the Heijue AK816 pro is the most difficult keyboard I have disassembled recently. It takes a lot of effort to pull out a shaft, which is very laborious. If there are girls who like to dismantle mechanical keyboards, I don't recommend them to disassemble this keyboard.

After removing the keycaps, I felt the RGB backlight effect of the keyboard by the way. From the light effect, we can know that the RGB light of Heijue AK816 pro supports about 16.8 million colors, and it is equipped with 18 kinds of light effects to switch freely. In addition, I learned that the lighting of this keyboard can be set through the driver to set the music rhythm effect, and I will find time to set it up later to have a look.

After removing the upper cover, we will see the positioning plate of this keyboard, and I also found the reason why the shaft will be so tightly stuck. Unlike most of the keyboards I have experienced before, Heijue AK816 pro does not use a positioning board made of metal, but a positioning board made of PC.

The change that this PC positioning board can bring is that it has better ductility and can better fix the shaft body. Secondly, when typing, the noise caused by the contact between the keycap and the PC positioning board will be smaller, and the tactile feeling will be better. would be too harsh.

Remove the 6 screws on the positioning board, and we can basically understand all the structures of the Heijue AK816 pro. From the dismantling diagram, we can see that in addition to the keycap and the shaft body, this keyboard also includes 9 other parts, namely the keyboard cover, yellow silicone pad, PC positioning board, PORON sandwich cotton, PORON shaft bottom Pad, PORON bottom cotton, PCB board, yellow silicone pad and bottom case.

In fact, when disassembling, the PORON sandwich cotton of the keyboard is arranged adjacent to the pad under the shaft, and you can see the thickness of the sandwich cotton, which should be the thickest sandwich cotton among mechanical keyboards I have ever seen. It seems There are a lot of trade-offs in product design to control keyboard noise.

Let's take a look at this PORON bottom cotton. You can experience the thickness for yourself. Heijue AK816 pro has spared no effort in terms of shock absorption, cushioning and restraint.

Let’s take a look at the bottom case of the keyboard. We can see that there are a lot of ribs on the bottom case. Its hardness and reliability are very guaranteed. You don’t have to worry about deformation or other quality problems after long-term use. Careful friends may find that there are some yellow cushions on the edge of the bottom case, which many people think is a decorative material. In fact, these pads are the standard gaskets of the pure GASKET structural mechanical keyboard. Through these silicone pads, we can get a better feel when using the keyboard, and these silicone pads can also help eliminate key sounds.

By the way, let’s take a look at the battery. Heijue AK816 pro is equipped with a 3000mAh large-capacity battery. Under the condition of using wireless mode and not turning on the RGB lighting effect, it can last up to 100 hours of battery life, and it can be used for 8 hours a day. There is basically no need to consider the issue of battery life.

After more than an hour, I finally successfully restored the disassembled Heijue AK816 pro keyboard to experience the RGB light effect and the texture of the entire keyboard. I personally like it very much.
