Gigabyte GKM-130B keyboard and mouse set was purchased in 2007. The mouse and keyboard were equipped with the first computer at home. Now the mouse can’t be found, and the keyboard can continue to be used. However, due to the long service life, the inside area is seriously dusty and wears out. , Now the button is extremely difficult to press, the blocking feeling is obvious, and the rebound is not smooth. Just clear the ashes, and take a look at the structure of the membrane keyboard back then.

Take off the keycap (photo after dust removal), the crater structure, the larger keycap has a balance bar, and the joint between the balance bar and the plastic is coated with grease.

Remove the 16 screws on the back (there are so many screws), and remove the back panel.

Thin film circuit board, three layers, including upper circuit and lower circuit, and an isolation layer in the middle.

Take off the thin film circuit board, 104 rubber caps are neatly arranged, each performing its own duties, which is quite spectacular.

The function diagram of the keycap and rubber cap of the crater structure is as follows. The rebound of the keycap depends on the elasticity of the rubber cap.

After cleaning the keycaps and rubber caps, put them back into the keyboard, and tested them on the computer. All the keys are normal, but the feel of the keys has not changed. There is still a strong blocking feeling and is not smooth. It seems that the keyboard needs to be replaced.

The Gigabyte GK-130B keyboard has a ps/2 interface and does not support hot swapping. Many motherboards now have a ps/2 interface that combines a keyboard and a mouse, which can save USB interfaces. There are also keyboards with ps/2 interfaces, but not many up.

As a well-known brand, Gigabyte is famous for motherboards and graphics cards, but its product line is quite rich, including notebook computers, monitors, power supplies, solid-state drives, memory, etc., as well as enterprise-level applications.
