The packaging is unremarkable, and the silver glossy surface and wavy lines are very simple. But it is very heavy in the hand, and you can imagine how heavy this keyboard is.

Dareu’s A series mechanical keyboards are equipped with a transparent dust cover, which is very important for users. Most practical. Then there is the two-in-one shaft puller and key puller. Because it is a hot-swappable design, of course it must be equipped with a shaft puller.

The packaging protection can be said to be very good. There is also a film protector on the TFT color display to avoid scratching the screen.

The turquoise blue on the back is very beautiful. Due to the material problem, there is also a whole plastic film to protect the surface from scratches.

In terms of appearance, Dareu can be said to be more and more stable. In addition to the more personalized theme version, the color scheme of the basic version directly chooses the more commonly used colors, and it is not too fancy. For players who want to slightly customize it in the later stage very friendly.

The base of the keyboard is really very unique, with a blue water ripple design, you can feel the texture when you touch it.

The cyan-blue mirror surface of the base is actually made of two-color injection molding process. The inner layer has cyan-blue ripples, and the outer layer is made of transparent materials, which directly enhances the appearance texture.

Dareu A98 has been complained about the ugly small screen before, but this time it is directly upgraded to a color screen on the 98PRO, and the screen animation when it is turned on is very smooth, and this screen directly enhances the sense of keyboard technology.

In addition to changing the preset animation through the driver, you can also upload the animation to the driver display yourself. The screen function module can be called out by FN+Enter button, and then FN+left and right buttons to select volume, homepage, and playback of custom animation pages. The playability of the screen is much higher this time, and the driver has also updated a lot of lighting functions, so I won’t go into details here.

Dareu A98pro is equipped with its own sky axis V4 for the first time. The trigger force of the V4 version is 45gf, which is 5gf heavier than the previous versions of the sky axis, but the total stroke of 3.6mm is 0.4mm shorter than the previous versions, and the light guide column design is added .

The brightness of the axis body with the light guide column is brighter than that of bare lamp beads, and the lighting effect and uniform transition are much stronger than other lamp position designs. Sky axis V4 can be said to directly pull out the light effect to full.

Moreover, the lamp beads of A98Pro are also different, which are larger and more prominent than our common SMD lamp beads, and the lamp beads can be closer to the light guide column.

The hot-swappable design of the shaft seat, because the hardness of the PC is increased, and the sky shaft V4 is designed with five pins, the shaft body is more difficult to plug in and out. The A98Pro continues the elastic arm gasket structure pioneered on the A81, but this time it is no longer steel-free, and the silicone layer and positioning board are filled on the PCB with the elastic arm. There is also a bottom layer of sound-absorbing cotton, silicone, etc., so you don’t have to worry about damaging the PCB when you press down. The internal decavitation filling limits the distortion of the elastic arm, and the stack of soft and tough materials also makes the soft elastic feel of the keyboard more obvious.

Dareu A98Pro has been upgraded to Zijin satellite switch in terms of large keys, and the ancestral satellite switch that was once criticized has also become a thing of the past. The feel of the large key of Zijin satellite switch is closer to other small keys, and the keyboard feel has also been greatly improved.

The keycaps are PBT two-color injection-molded keycaps. The keycaps have a good feel and texture. It is a pity that Dareu still insists on making opaque keycaps, which is a bit of a waste of the light effect of the keyboard and the shaft body.

The three-mode connection is really convenient, regardless of whether it is wired or wireless, and the built-in lithium battery is also very user-friendly for wired connection and automatic charging. Connections for mode switching are also relatively quick.
