Flexible and easy to use 40% programmable conventional array can add a numeric keypad【Atmega32a】

Previously open-sourced the 40% programmable conventional keyboard with Pro Micro as the main control, and now I bring you the cheap atmege32a onboard main control solution, I hope you like it.

PCB design: There are two options for reference:

1. Stitching design-- save money : divided into 3 pieces of PCB, left and right splicing, each piece of PCB size meets the free conditions, diyer favorite.

2. Whole board design-- save trouble : Welding is more convenient and installation is simpler.

Still using the previous configuration scheme, the main control is changed to atmege32a onboard main control, which is cheaper and more flexible.

The Capslock light is installed in the middle, so that it will not be easily blocked by hands when using the keypad.

The bottom row is equipped with RGB lights, and different colors correspond to different layers.

Arrangement design:

Layer 0: letters + function keys, Fn1 enters the numeric keypad and punctuation mark area, Fn2 enters the F function area and punctuation mark layer. Tap Fn3, output Esc, long press to enter the software shortcut key and media key layer.

In order to facilitate commas and periods as the page turning of the Chinese input method, the independent direction keys are slightly changed.

When typing with both hands on the keyboard, press Fn1 and Fn2 directly with two thumbs to switch between Chinese and English, and Fn1 and space to switch between uppercase and lowercase keys.

Press and hold Fn2, the arrow keys will become pageup, pagedown, home, end, and the backspace key will be the Del key, which is convenient and quick.

1st floor: On the left is a complete numeric keypad and arithmetic symbols, which is convenient for the left hand to input numbers with one hand. Some punctuation marks are on the right, and all punctuation marks are arranged according to personal habits and easy to remember, such as ? It is the F position where Fa asks the question, # is at the J position of the number sign, ~curve q, @at, [bracket Z, {curly bracket K, Na N, $Us knife, "double quotation mark S, ... +-× /= Take into account the use of the numeric keypad.

Layer 2: Part of the punctuation marks on the left, the F function key area on the right, and the arrow keys in the lower right corner change to pageup, pagedown, home, and end.

3 layers: software shortcut keys and media keys. The volume, forward and backward of the media playback keys are consistent with the operation habits of the direction keys. Fn3+letter is equivalent to Ctrl+Alt+Shift+letter, which can be set as the shortcut key of the software, such as Fn3+C to run Chrome, Fn3+Q to run QQ, Fn3+W to run WeChat, Fn3+M to run music software, Fn3+V to run videoVideo software...

Heavy numeric keypad users can add a PCB on the left (see the link below, this board does not require a main control), which is suitable for left-handed numeric keypads.

40% The keyboard is small but full-featured, Xiaobai can also enjoy the fun of DIY. The key setting is the soul of the whole keyboard, it is worth the effort of the user to set it according to the needs, and it will be very convenient to use.

For users who can get used to the in-line keyboard, I would rather recommend the previous keyboard. Compared with the conventional keyboard, the in-line keyboard has the biggest advantage that the layout of the arrow keys and numeric keypad is very neat and easy to use.

Moreover, after the design is divided, the positioning board, bottom board, and PCB can all be used for nothing.
