Men have many hobbies, such as buying shoes, playing watches, opening cylinders, SLRs, etc., but the one I save the most is mechanical keyboards, for no other reason than love. There are a lot of masters in the key ring, and the customization is for beginners. Recently, I don’t like tossing much, and there are few customizations. Compared with customization, mass-produced keyboards lack a lot of individual needs. Some time ago, I heard that Dujia is about to release new products. It is still a three-mode keyboard with a brand new mold. As an old user of Dujia, how can we fall behind. So after chatting with Ms. Du Jia, she promised to give me a new product in advance, but the color matching shafts are all random. At that time, I knew that its model was K610W, 104 keys. No other information was given, but allow me to disassemble. Good guy, this time it's even more blind box than blind box. Such an exciting thing, why don't you all follow me to uncover the big secret?
After removing the logistics outer box, the packaging inside is really full of mystery. Of course, the retail version you will be able to buy at that time will definitely not be in this package. This is the first batch of mine. Whether it is a proofing or an engineering version, I am satisfied if I can get it in advance, regardless of the packaging outside. Before opening the box, I still don't know what design color and shaft are inside. Of course, this also has a more visual sense of the blind box. To avoid misunderstanding, it is stated in advance that the first batch of proofs does not necessarily represent subsequent retail batches. The content of this article is mainly for reference.
Family portrait: In addition to the keyboard and dust cover, there is also a C-mount power cord, a C-to-A adapter, a key puller, a shaft puller, and replacement keycaps for 3 Macs (the dual system automatically recognizes the matching keys ). Because mine is an early batch, there should be cable management tapes and instructions in the later retail batches.
It's normal to have different aesthetics, but there are indeed high and low points. One of the reasons I like Dujia is that its design is very advanced and it suits my taste. The lines and colors are very coordinated, which belongs to the design language of restraint aesthetics. Take a closer look at this K610W, which is still full of Durga flavor and recognizable. If it is a newborn, then its parents must be K310 and K330W, combining the strengths of the two for further upgrade and evolution. Later, I learned that the K610W has two color versions, dark and light (named Island and Echo respectively). This is the more low-key dark version - Island. The two-color keycaps are complemented by a few white keys, making this keyboard calm and not dull. This layered and unobtrusive design makes it more comfortable to look at.
I saw the official picture of Dujia Echo before publishing this article, and I will also post one for comparison and reference for users with different preferences.
Its 87-key version is called K620W, but I still wanted to get it right first, so I chose the 104-key K610W. After all, the small keyboard still has its place. And I personally feel that the 104 keys seem to be more comfortable than the 87 keys in terms of physical design. In the design of the front of the keyboard, Dujia also has a detail that I like very much. It will not print a big LOGO on the space bar or other blank spaces. Whether it is the previous K610W or this K610W, the visual presentation for me has always been consistent. It's very holistic.
The side of this double-layered keyboard should be the only Durga LOGO you can see on the table. I am not a person who loves houses and blacks, but having said that, this LOGO is right-aligned on the side, restrained and not fancy , It's really beautiful.
The indicator area in the upper right corner uses a separate piece of acrylic material and has a texture design. It is the most recognizable design on the K610W. Especially on this dark keyboard, the design details are enriched and the texture of the product is enhanced.
I actually measured the weight of this keyboard to be 1.232kg. But it is visually thinner and thinner than the hands-on one, especially the nested design with a touch of green edge on the side, which clearly distinguishes it from the traditional stupid, thick and heavy mechanical keyboard. The three-level height adjustment is also enough to satisfy me when I am lifting The input habits of multiple scenes such as standing posture and sitting posture in front of the desk. By the way, the ancestral side-view exposed shaft is finally over in K610W, and it can satisfy more people's preferences.
The power switch is designed on the back, and it is a pure power switch. The wireless Bluetooth switch is not integrated here. The benefits are obvious, and you can realize the blind operation switch power at the first time. The Type-C port on the side is still very tightly designed. I tried to press randomly on the front of the keyboard and looked at the C port sideways, but there was no port displacement.
Different people have different opinions on Dujia, especially the design of the K310 and K320 series that opened the market. I think there is nothing wrong with continuing to polish the classic design, but it is undeniable that Dujia has many subdivisions in these two series. After continuing his classic model in the version for a long time, it is understandable for the audience to feel the lack of freshness. In fact, Dujia has long realized that he needs to continue to innovate. If the K330 series is a small test of Dujia’s mold revision, then this K610W is a more mature mold innovation. There is also a new design language at the bottom, but the two-stage support The classic design is still retained, and the opening and closing feel is good. It should be noted here that in fact, the version that is officially on sale still has the information on the nameplate sticker in the middle of the bottom. I am afraid that you may misunderstand, so I will explain it in particular.
The first few three-mode keyboards of Dujia had no good storage places for the 2.4Ghz receiver due to the problems left over from the mold history. After redesigning the mold this time, the K610W also has a reasonable storage compartment. , and the damping feeling of the receiver card inside is moderate. Open the cover, the adapter will not fall out, and it will not be too tight to make it difficult to pick out.
You want to ask why I switched back to 104 keys after playing a lot of compact configurations? The reason is very simple, one-step direct access, no need to memorize many combination keys, for example, the previous Dujia K330W is very good in terms of size and design, but under its compact arrangement design, the direction keys must be activated by combination keys , I'm still not used to it. In addition, Dujia's three-mode keyboard is integrated with the mode switching function in QWER. Through Fn+Q, W, E, R, you can quickly switch between Bluetooth 1, Bluetooth 2, 2.4Ghz, and wired. It is convenient to seamlessly switch between my desktop and laptop.
The Duga K610W still uses the two-color PBT keycaps with the height of the original factory, taking into account the delicate feel and durability, and it will not be as easy to oil as the ABS material. In addition, don't think that there are no injection-molded characters on its few eye-catching white keys. If you look closely, there are still some.
Still can't see? Then microscopically zoom in and compare. In fact, all its keycaps are made of two-color closed-end technology, but the white keys are also injected with white. To be honest, I really thought it was strange at first, but from the perspective of a designer, I just It is not difficult to understand Durga's thinking. Because the main body is a dark keyboard, it is no problem to use white injection molding for the characters inside, but if the white keycaps are also injected with dark characters, it will destroy the unified sense of coordination. And these white keys (Esc, space bar, two enter keys) are the most frequently used keys, and these positions can be operated blindly. It is also a good idea to make it more pure keycap. So there is no need to worry about the character injection color of the white key. Durga's aesthetics have always been acceptable.
In terms of the shaft body, the crystal shaft customized by Dujia and Jiadalong is used. At present, it is known that this model provides a total of four shaft body options: red shaft, brown shaft, silver shaft, and mute red shaft. The one I received was a silent red switch. It is in line with the setting of the color scheme of the isolated island, quiet.
Carefully pay attention to the big key position, you can see Duga’s customary factory generous lubricating shaft, and grease overflows under the satellite shaft. Not to mention, I will eat this set. Because Durga's factory tuning has always been excellent. Although there is a lot of grease, it is not meaty.
The keycap painting on the K610W is relatively quick, with a standard cross opening. However, the details of some of the keycap spouts of this first batch of proofing versions can be handled better, the problem is not big, and I believe that subsequent batches will improve.
Turn over and look at the inside of this large keycap. Its ribs are quite full to reduce the possibility of deformation. Even if some users with strong hands come to high-intensity use, I believe it can guarantee a relatively smooth tapping experience.
Old users who are familiar with Dujia should know that Dujia has an obsessive-compulsive disorder experience. Almost every type of switch keyboard will use different switches to match the space bar. For example, the space on this keyboard The key shaft body uses a different Jiadalong custom crystal shaft. To a certain extent, it can play a role in reinforcing the experience. After all, the space bar is relatively large to avoid low separation or even a weak percussion feeling. Dujia usually uses a shaft that is one step stronger than the main shaft for the space bar.
There is a gap between the satellite shaft and the steel plate. If you are not used to it, you can remove the satellite shaft and stick a small piece of Teflon tape on the edge of the steel plate for reinforcement to improve the matching.
I found that even if I don’t make any adjustments, the balance performance is still quite good when I tap the big key left and right, and I don’t feel the tilt phenomenon. The factory adjustment of the buttons, shaft body, and mold assembly is still okay.
For mechanical keyboards, I actually pay more attention to the solidity of its keys. The stability of its shaft center and shaft cover is still very good. No matter how you press it, it is very balanced and smooth. Compared with the OEM height of K310 and 320, K610W's original factory height keyboard receives more direct feedback and looks better visually (personal opinion, welcome to bar).
As a representative of the linear switch, the silent red switch K610W is really easy to use. Compared with the silver switch, it feels slightly crisper, and the smoothness of tapping is more obvious, and the feel is smooth and comfortable. Compared with other switches, it has a lighter key performance and does not overwhelm the host. In many cases, it will make you forget the keyboard itself and focus more on games and daily typing. It is also the best choice for full-time dads. By the way, users who have needs such as button customization can also download the Dugazeus driver. Both K610w and K620w support DURGOD Zeus Engine driver software, and all modes support full-key no-click technology, macro key function and onboard storage function.
After the K330, the K610W also supports hot-swappable shaft seats, and supports the plug-in replacement of three-legged and five-legged shaft bodies. It is a little regretful that there is no backlight design this time. In fact, for the low-key style of the series, it provides pure white monochrome lights at night, which can quite enhance the atmosphere.
I said that it can be disassembled, but it must be dismantled. I have to say that the mold of Dujia is too tight, and there are too many buckles on the shell. It took me a lot of time to just open the cover. Ordinary users do not recommend disassembling the machine casually. After all, Dujia’s factory tuning is already very good, and there is no need to disassemble the machine for changing shafts and keycaps.
This time the K610W is really completely renewed from the inside to the outside. Remove the top cover and unscrew the screws, you can see the metal positioning plate, silicone pad, PCB board, and sound-absorbing cotton. There are many luxurious configurations in customization. . Durga allows you to feel the sincerity of customization on mass-produced keyboards. In fact, the silicone pad and sound-absorbing cotton have indeed improved the experience, with low noise and good shock absorption.
Open the PCB board to reveal the built-in large battery with a rated capacity of 3600mAh 13.68Wh. Moreover, Dujia has also made a god optimization. Based on the calculation of 8 hours of daily use, the Bluetooth battery life can reach up to 360 days, and the 2.4G is about 200 days. And it only takes 3 hours to fully charge (using an ordinary 5V2A charger), which can be said to be exciting and tearful, and the anxious battery life is abandoned. Moreover, the two wires of the battery are not welded to the motherboard, so it is very convenient to replace them by yourself.
According to the experience of using various keyboards on the market, compared with the detachable shaft body, the switch and power interface are actually more likely to be damaged. So I also paid attention to the power switch and Type-C port on the K610W. Their reinforcement measures are quite in place. This structural design is not easy to cause displacement after long-term use. By the way, the soldering work of components on this PCB board of Dujia is quite good, the arrangement is tight and neat, and the obsessive-compulsive disorder is extremely comfortable.
In fact, I received this keyboard a few days before the release. I was busy, so I started to use it first, and the manuscript was delayed until now. But it also allowed me to evaluate this keyboard more objectively. After using it for a few days, I feel "smooth", pleasing to the eye in appearance, and smooth in hand. There are no bad problems or hidden problems. If you are like me and don’t want to toss about customization, but also want to find something different in the low-key mass-produced keyboard, then you can consider this Dujia K610W (87-key called K620W). After all, there are not many mass-produced keyboards that can satisfy this kind of ultra-long battery life, hot-swappable, and excellent molds at the same time.
