Hands-on experience with Niprison KU axis, mechanic CK600 three-mode keyboard out of the box to share

A while ago, the peripheral UP main prison launched two customized switches, which were manufactured by Quantent. The names are: KU center switch and KU segment switch. "KU" is taken from the abbreviation of "Keyboard Union" (Keyboard Union). The mass-produced keyboard was first launched on the market with the 3087T-Li owned by Gauss, and later HELLO GANSS HS75T and Mechanic CK600 were unveiled with these two switches. These keyboards are the main cost-effective models. Today, using the mechanic CK600 as the carrier, I will briefly share with you the two KU switches of the reverse jail.

Both KU switches use a combination of milky white translucent PC top cover, nylon bottom shell and POM shaft. The central axis of KU is a linear axis, and the color of the bottom shell and the axis is light orange; the KU section axis is a large paragraph axis in advance, and the color of the bottom shell and the axis is brown. The retail price of the shaft body is 1.2 yuan/piece. From the comprehensive performance point of view, they are two shaft bodies with good cost performance.

Both shafts use a bridging upper cover, and the bottom shell is hollowed out to support common LED lamp beads, and both shafts are tripod shafts.

The trigger stroke of the KU central axis is 1.8mm, the total stroke is 3.5mm, the trigger pressure is 45 grams, and the bottoming pressure is 48 grams. It is equipped with a 22mm single-section extended spring. It is a linear axis that triggers slightly faster than the traditional red axis.

The length of the axis is 13.5mm, and the factory comes with a thin layer of moistening. The overall smoothness and noise control effect are not bad. Extending the axis makes the sound of the axis bottoming more concentrated and less likely to diverge, which is more in line with the current players' higher requirements for sound. At the same time, the extended spring makes the shaft bounce back very quickly, which is what is often called "heel/top feel".

I personally like the color scheme of the KU central axis very much, it is very fresh and healing.

The trigger stroke of the KU section shaft is 2mm, the total stroke is 4mm, the trigger pressure is 36 grams, and the stage pressure is 55 grams. It is also equipped with a 22mm single-stage extension spring. This is a large paragraph axis in advance. Basically, the paragraph is triggered when you press it. The sense of paragraph is relatively obvious and strong, and the feedback is very clear.

The length of the shaft center is 13.2mm, which is the same as the KU center shaft, and it comes with a thin finish when leaving the factory. During the process of pressing and rebounding the shaft body, there are basically no other noises, and the control of the sound is quite good.

The color matching of the KU section axis is more common. I personally prefer linear axes, so comparing the KU segment axis and the KU central axis, I personally prefer the KU central axis. Of course, this is a purely subjective judgment.

After briefly talking about the KU axis, let's take a look at the CK600 three-mode mechanical keyboard of the mechanic. The outer packaging once made me think it was an EVA-themed color scheme, but I later found out that I was overthinking it.

Happy to hear and see a family portrait: CK600 mechanical keyboard body, transparent dust cover, TYPE-C port data cable, six replacement keycaps, dual-purpose key puller, and manual/warranty card, etc.

This color scheme is called "Mars Green", and the whole is composed of white, gray and turquoise. The keyboard is a relatively square appearance type, with a 98-like arrangement and a total of 100 keys.

There is a little upward bulge on the edge of the upper cover, and from the visual effect, it can appear that the frame is narrower.

The arrow keys have a small amount of sinking treatment, and a partition is made from the main key area and the number area on the right. The 12 buttons in the F area are not separated. In the saved space, two function buttons are set on the right side of F12. The default functions are INS and DEL, among which DEL and the up and down arrow keys are designed to maintain alignment.

The four pinhole indicator lights are located on the partition strips of the left and right partitions, and the functions of the indicator lights are printed below with turquoise characters.

The upper and lower keyboard covers leave a 360-degree surround gap on the side. The keycap is a PBT material MDA height ball cap, and the overall height is relatively close to the original factory.

The keycap is made of two-color injection molding process, and the details are handled well. There are no burrs and obvious spout marks, and the large keys have no obvious deformation.

Not only the upper and lower covers of the keyboard are contrasted in color, but the single bottom shell has a variety of materials and colors mixed together.

The surface of the turquoise module on the side has been treated with a regular grid texture, and next to it is a metal trim. Although it is an area that is not usually visible, a lot of thought has indeed been spent.

There is a data cable socket and a mode switching switch on the rear side of the keyboard. The switch is used to switch between wired and wireless modes. Among them, the three Bluetooth channels and 2.4G wireless are switched by combination keys.

The large key of the satellite axis is well handled, not fleshy, rebounds quickly, it is very comfortable to tap, and there is no obvious noise, the feel adjustment is very good.

The PCB board supports five-pin shafts, which is compatible with most common shafts on the market.

There is a layer of EVA sound-absorbing cotton between the positioning board and the PCB. Without the bottom cotton, the cavity sound is still a little bit.

The bottom case is also printed with a lot of decorative patterns and characters. It is really rare to find keyboard models willing to put so much effort into the bottom case.

The 2.4G receiver is hidden on the front side of the two-section kickstand.

The brightness of the RGB lighting of the keyboard is not too high, and the performance is quite satisfactory. Although the keycaps are not transparent, the reflection effect of the white positioning plate on the light is still much enhanced. The backlight is transmitted from the gap between the keycaps to form an ambient light effect.

The built-in battery has a capacity of 3000mAh, and it can last for about a month without turning on the light, based on 8 hours of daily use.

In addition, the keyboard has a configuration driver, but the driver performance and playability of each company are basically the same, so let’s skip it.

Mechanic CK600 keyboard does not have a padded backing, which makes me a little puzzled, but it is said that it will be upgraded to solve this problem in the future. The conventional three-mode RGB keyboard elements are available on this keyboard, and there is still room for improvement in the details and workmanship of individual positions. Overall, at a price of around 400 yuan, it is still a good value for money. The performance of the KU switch of Niyu is beyond my expectation. To a certain extent, it can be regarded as raising the overall experience of the keyboard to a higher level. Compared with "HIFI", I personally prefer the KU center shaft among the two KU shafts.
