As a light vim fan, HHKB's name is well known, but I have never had the opportunity to use it. Recently, I always wanted to buy something for myself, so I fell in love with HHKB. Although the Filco minila r tea switch I use is basically very good, but, man, my wife is always better than someone else's, and the keyboard is best if you don't know it. But looking at the price, the price of the new dual-mode model of more than 2,000 is really painful, so I simply bought one in the seafood market to satisfy my hunger and play.

When I got it in my hand, I felt a little disappointed. It doesn’t feel like the big F’s heavy and stable hand. Instead, it’s a bit light. The workmanship can’t be said to be bad, but I think it cost more than 1,000 when I bought it from the previous store. , I feel a little sorry for the price.

The black always looks very stable and has a B-style, which adds a lot of points to the table. Of course, the layout of the keys has not changed in the ten thousand years of HHKB, with mixed reputations. It is worth mentioning that the difference in height between different rows of keys in their home gives me a really good feeling, and it feels very comfortable in the hand.

The size is basically the same as the filco minila r, a little bit bigger, and the thickness is also a little bit thicker, but this thickness makes the tilt angle of the keyboard very friendly, and it is very comfortable to use without using the feet .

Personally, I think the most important thing about a keyboard is 1 is the layout of the keys, 2 is the feel of the keys, and 3 is the quality.

1. Key layout: HHKB has nothing to say, at least not bad, only unsuitable. The keys of HHKB are really useful if you use Vim, and the arrangement is very scientific. But I personally think that there is no advantage compared with minila. It can do what the big F can do, but it may not be able to do what the big F can do.

2. Button feel: This really disappointed me. As soon as I got started, I instantly recalled the fear of being dominated by Shuangfeiyan and other traditional keyboards when I was in college. It has a proper rubber feel. The resilience is still much more comfortable than that of this bowl rubber, and it also feels more linear. Personally, I still think that the red switch and the brown switch feel better than this kind of handle.

3. Quality: The quality of HHKB should not be mentioned. The one I bought was in 2016, and the quality is still very stable. It is said that this kind of keyboard has been used for decades without any problems. But having said that, men are fickle, even the best toys will get tired of playing for a while, wouldn't the keyboard be replaced with a new one after a few years of use?

The keyboard is okay, but I personally think it should not be so expensive, and most of the current mechanical keyboards can realize the key arrangement of HHKB through key mapping, so that its advantages are not outstanding. As for the feel, I can only say that I don't like it very much, it depends on personal preference. I heard that Ningzhi feels very good in the hand, and I have a chance to play with it.
