How about the hands-on experience of Dujia k330w plus, a hot-swappable mechanical keyboard?

I have been using their k330w 61-key three-mode mechanical keyboard before, because I usually type a lot and I am low-key, so I wanted to buy a silent one, which was out of stock at the time.

This time, taking advantage of the plus version, I quickly bought a silent red switch, so that I don’t have to worry about the crackling sound when I’m typing, which will affect the mentality of my colleagues when they fish.

Let me briefly share my experience, including two parts of appearance design and functional experience, for reference.

Appearance part

The packaging is black and punk. The model K330w Plus is hot silver, and the color can change under different light angles. ION STORM ion storm, HOT SWAPABLE English is very conspicuous in the lower left corner, which means hot swappable, and it is also the main selling point of this keyboard.

This plus version comes in three colors, ion storm, mint and ice cream, and has fewer cordons than the previous generation.

Open the outer packaging, there is a layer of box inside, open the box, you will see the dust cover, keyboard and some accessories. The accessories this time include: C-mount data cable, key puller, shaft puller, cable management belt, C-mount receiver expansion adapter, manual, etc.

By the way, there is also a 2.4G wireless receiver in the storage compartment on the back of the keyboard. The appearance of the keyboard is the same as that of the previous generation. The Ion Storm model in the hand adopts a black, white and blue three-color contrast design, which is simple and elegant, and has a sense of hierarchy.

The numbers and English parts are white, the function keys are black, and there are only three blue ones: ESC, enter and space. The edge of the space bar that often touches is smoothed, and it will not hurt your hands when you tap it frequently. It is very detailed.

The keyboard itself has a little weight, 530g is not too light, and the narrow side design, the whole has a certain angle of inclination, which is more in line with our usage habits. There are 4 indicator lights on the forehead.

In the normal indication state, from left to right are: capitalization indicator, configuration file indicator, WIN key function lock indicator and battery indicator. In the state of wireless function, the order is: bluetooth device 1, bluetooth device 2 indicator, 2.4G connection status indicator and battery indicator.

The side is the type-C port, and the right is the switch. There is a 2.4G wireless receiver storage compartment on the back, which is very convenient. The 4 silicone anti-skid pads at the bottom are very stable. If you want the keyboard to tilt more like us, you can open the foot support below.

The original factory height PBT two-color keycap has a good hand feel, is very delicate, and is resistant to dirt. My hands are still oily, and there will be no shine on the keycap.

There are two-color closed characters on the front (white keys are black characters, black and blue keys are white characters), and the workmanship is exquisite. You don’t have to worry about the characters being blurred after long-term use. The color matching of keycaps and characters looks fresh and comfortable.

The shaft body of this K330w plus is still a customized crystal shaft cooperated by Dujia and Jiadalong. It belongs to the CAP shaft of Jiadalong. Dujia has optimized and upgraded it himself. The silent red switch in my hand feels very smooth and delicate, the noise reduction and shock absorption are well done, and the daily code word 2w is effortless.

The biggest feature of this keyboard is hot-swappable, we can freely replace the shaft body, this kind of personalized customized exclusive keyboard is really nice. First use the key puller to remove the keycap, and then use the shaft puller to remove the shaft body, which is very simple and easy.

I plan to replace the two keys of space and enter, and it’s fine to mute the other keys. These two keys must have a sound of finalization, and they can’t be so low-key anymore haha.

The keyboard is still a three-mode connection: Bluetooth, wired and 2.4G, all very simple, depending on our own preference and convenience. The 2.4G wireless adapter has also been redesigned, with stronger anti-interference ability and more stable signal, escorting us to play games.

In order to avoid that some students’ computer USB ports are not enough or not compatible, a C-port adapter is also prepared for the 2.4G receiver, which can be said to be very considerate.

In terms of battery life, the official data is 8 months in Bluetooth mode, and 6 months in 2.4G connection. As long as you are not a keyboard man who stays up all night, you don't have to worry about the power.

To sum up, this keyboard not only has good looks, solid workmanship, and stable functions, but also has very good playability. Friends who like personalized design and experience are worth considering.
