1. ABS keycaps: The cost is also the cheapest. Whether it is some high-end mechanical keyboards or low-end keyboards, it has applications. The advantage is low cost and easy to shape. The disadvantage is that it is easy to oil after long-term use;
2. PBT keycaps: PBT keycaps have the advantages of high temperature resistance and no oil, but the disadvantages are that they are not easy to shape, the hand feel is not delicate enough, and the cost is much higher than ABS;
3. POM keycaps: high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and self-lubricating properties. The disadvantages are large shrinkage, difficult molding, appearance and size cannot be guaranteed, and light-colored materials are prone to shrinkage.
4. All-metal keycaps: high surface hardness, high wear resistance, super hard feel, high processing and assembly costs, the cost of a keycap may be equivalent to the price of a mechanical keyboard, suitable for individual players and super enthusiasts.
5. Resin keycap: According to the process, it is divided into three types: layered coloring, glue filling, and painting. The glue filling process has the best feel, the lowest cost, and the simplest process. Resin keycaps are generally created for DIY. The production of layered coloring and painting is very difficult, the cost is extremely high, and the process is very complicated.
