Kaihua Cangling fast axis, pleasure ✖ pleasure! Black Canyon i3, i5 wired mechanical keyboard

As a domestic mechanical shaft manufacturer, Kaihua has a high market share. It has launched a variety of shafts, each with its own characteristics. For example, BOX shafts and fast and fast shafts are very popular. Recently, Kaihua and the well-known peripheral brand Black Canyon have jointly customized a brand new MX switch body——Scenery Kuaikuai Series (Cangling Kuaikuai Switch, Yanmo Kuaikuai Switch, Danxia Kuaikuai Switch) was officially released. It will be first installed on Black Canyon's upcoming i-series mechanical keyboard.

The scenery series fast axis is also the second series of axes after the scenery series BOX axis. It is a specially customized axis body based on the Kaihua fast series. In addition to the advantages, many optimizations have been made in details. Including feel adjustment, factory lubrication method, shaft material replacement, replaced with Kaihua's new high-smooth mixed POM material, and the smoothness of the shaft body is further improved. To put it simply: the scenery BOX axis is the upgraded version of the BOX axis; the scenery fast and fast axis is the upgraded version of the fast and fast axis series. The two keyboards tested this time: Black Canyon i3 and i5, both use Cangling fast switches.

Black Canyon i3 and i5 have the same style of outer packaging, but the length is different. Dark gray background, line drawing style pattern, retro with a sense of machinery. The i3 has 87 keys, and the i5 has 108 keys. They are all gray color schemes, RGB lights, Cangling fast switches, and wired.

The key caps are made of PBT material, two-color injection molding, OEM height, and the yellow characters are very eye-catching, adding a lot of bright colors to the entire keyboard. The letter area is medium gray, and the function key area is dark gray, which looks layered.

The design of the space bar is eye-catching. The normal space bar has a straight edge, but the i series has specially polished the outer straight edge into an arc shape. This is the first time I have seen this design, and it is highly recognizable.

When the thumb is placed on it, the straight edge will not hurt the hand, and the hand feel is much better. Just such a small detail makes people feel good about the Black Canyon i series.

The 87-key key design is quite satisfactory, and the functions are complete. The F area has shortcut functions such as volume increase and decrease, and music playback; the LED lights are controlled by INS, DEL and other keys.

The 108-key key position is more interesting. Not only is there more small keyboard area than the 87-key, but also the most commonly used volume control key is separated from the conventional 104-key, which is more convenient to use. Moreover, there is an extra calculator key, which can be used to directly use the small keyboard area to perform calculations after being pressed to call out the calculator interface, which greatly facilitates financial personnel.

The shell of the Black Canyon i series is an aluminum alloy shell with extrusion molding process, and the surface is sandblasted and anodized. This design takes both cost and texture into account. The sandblasted anodized surface is fine and hard, feels cold to the touch, and the metal texture is very good. It can be said that the texture is invincible at the price of 200 yuan.

However, as a small price, the one-piece aluminum alloy surface cannot be used as a folding foot pad, so the height of the foot pad cannot be adjusted.

However, this angle should be suitable for most people. It is consistent with the default angle of my other keyboards, and I am very used to it.

The Black Canyon i series is a wired keyboard with a TypeC interface, and the interface is directly in front.

It's time to pull the key again! The Black Canyon i series uses Kaihua’s new Scenery Fast Switch, which supports hot swapping. The two i3 and i5 I have on hand are both Cangling Fast Switches.

Cangling Kuaikuai shaft is an improved version of Kuai Kuai shaft, including feel adjustment, factory lubrication method, shaft material replacement, replaced with Kaihua's new high-smooth mixed POM material, and the smoothness of the shaft body is further improved. The Kuai Kuai switch is the same MX switch as the cherry switch, so the appearance is very similar to the cherry switch, and it is obviously different from the Kaihua BOX switch.

The Cangling fast switch is a voice switch. From the parameters, the conduction stroke is 1.1mm, which is similar to the silver switch, so the trigger is very fast. The trigger force is similar to that of the tea switch and the red switch, and the hand feel will not be heavy, and it is also a relatively brisk type. So analogy to the cherry axis, it is similar to the combination of the green axis and the silver axis. But the feel is actually different from the green switch. The segment structure of the Cangling fast switch is completely different from the green switch. The green switch is a mechanical segment, so the resistance is relatively large. The pressing feel is similar to the mechanical switch on traditional electrical appliances. The section of the Cangling Kuaikuai switch comes from metal shrapnel, so the feel is very crisp, the sound is crisp, the metal sound is more obvious, and the feel is more refreshing and light than the green switch. Moreover, the section of the Cangling Kuaikuai axis came very early, and the finger just touched the section with a little force, and started immediately after the section, so the speed was much faster than the green axis.

Compared with the silver axis, the biggest problem with the silver axis is that it is too soft and easy to trigger by mistake. Sometimes it is just accidentally triggered by putting your finger on it unconsciously, and because the trigger stroke is too short, sometimes you don’t even realize that you accidentally touched it. up. However, the Cangling Kuaikuai switch has a relatively high initial pressure and is not easy to accidentally touch because it starts to press down. Even if it is touched by mistake, there is a very obvious sense of movement and sound, so it must be noticed immediately.

So when you use it, it feels like a light version of the green switch, which feels lighter, smoother, and more moist. It is as full of mechanical pleasure as the green switch, but the sound is crisper and the volume is lower, not as good as the green switch. Noisy, it is less likely to be beaten when used in the office. The beginning is a paragraph, unlike the green axis, there are some empty strokes, so the feel is much simpler. The trigger is fast, and after more paragraphs, it is not as easy to accidentally touch as the silver axis. It can be said that it combines the advantages of the green axis and the silver axis.

The Black Canyon i series also has RGB lighting. There are many kinds of lighting effects, and the brightness can also be adjusted. These are the basics. There are too many lighting effects, so I won't show them one by one.

It's just a pity that the keycaps are not transparent, which affects the combat effectiveness of RGB.

In general, the feel of the Cangling Kuaikuai switch gave me a big surprise. At first glance, it looks like a combination of green and silver switches, but it has the advantages of both and is different. Its paragraph sense is very crisp, more percussive than the brown and red switches, more relaxed and quiet than the green switches, very suitable for typing; it is also lubricated and quick to trigger, and is also very suitable for playing games. There are also RGB lighting effects, which are very playable. If you are not satisfied with the plain red and tea switches, and you don’t like the silver switches that are easy to touch by mistake, maybe this Cangling Kuaikuai switch will be your true love!
