However, Kezhi has made a lot of progress in the past six months. What impresses me the most is the K75 that was released before. One of the featured keyboards.
This Z98 has been launched for a long time, but the popularity has remained high and it has been out of stock for a long time. In fact, it was available for purchase a few times, but I heard from the customer service that a new shaft body would be installed later, so I never bought it. This time I started with the version equipped with the new switch body, and I would like to share with you the experience of using this keyboard.
▼The most outstanding thing about this keyboard should be its color matching. The light green grass green is fresh and elegant, the wine red embellishment is just the finishing touch, and the emerald green and milky white transition of the bottom shell even enhances the appearance of the whole keyboard. Even my daughter-in-law, who doesn't know much about keyboards, will sigh "this keyboard is so beautiful" when passing by!
▼In terms of layout, although the keyboard model is Z98, there are actually only 94 keys. There should have been 4 more function keys in the upper right corner, but Ke Zhi cut them off and replaced them with a mode switch slider. For ordinary users, it may not have much impact, but for creators or text editors, they can only use combination keys to complete the corresponding functions, which is still a bit inconvenient to use.
▼The screen on the upper right is also exclusively customized by Kezhi. The screen surface is a high-brightness semi-transparent silver-plated lens, and the button lever is wear-resistant color-plated. The metal texture and smooth mirror surface are perfectly expressed, and the details are full. It's a bit of a handicraft.
▼The switch function of the lever, the button is used to confirm, the screen can display information such as power, time, date, and mode, and you can also upload GIF files to customize the display. The playability is quite sufficient.
▼The top cover of the keyboard is obviously made of a custom mold, and has an obvious curvature with the screen area on the right, making it easier for fingers to operate. The surface has been painted with a mirror finish, and it feels smooth and round. It really feels round and round with this color scheme. According to other bigwigs, it is said that this process is very demanding, and the dust-free workshop is the first step. Anyway, such a process is rarely seen in mass-produced keyboards. I don’t know if it is Kezhi’s outsourcing customization.

▼The upper right corner of the top is a 2.4G receiver and 1A2C USB expansion interface, and the keyboard supports wired / / 2.4G / Bluetooth three-mode connection. In the wired connection mode, it can be used as a HUB, and can be connected to an external mouse or U disk. This is an old tradition of Kezhi. Although it is not exclusive, there are very few keyboards that can provide this function on the market.

▼Kezhi and RK are brothers, and it is very likely that they share the production line, so the quality is quite good. The keycap is a rare KSA height, a bit similar to ASA, wide at the bottom and narrow at the top, plus the groove with a high degree of fit between the surface and the fingertips, it feels comfortable when tapping, and because of the narrow surface, the stability of the keycap is controlled It is very good, no matter how the user presses it, there is only such a point on the surface, and it is difficult to shake it.
▼In addition, the sloping design of the keycap makes it completely ineffective to pull the keys empty-handed. I tried it, and there is not a single keycap on the entire keyboard that I can pull off with my bare hands.
▼The workmanship of the keycaps is really good. First of all, the PBT content has not shrunk, and the wall thickness is sufficient. It is a bit exaggerated to describe it as buying a keycap and giving it a keyboard, but the cost will definitely not be low.
▼The keyboard adopts the mainstream GASKET soft connection structure, customized version of Inoue poron sandwich cotton, transparent PC positioning version, IXPE shaft underpad, foam + silicone double-layer bottom cushioning, filled in place, basically considered the top-level mass-produced keyboard.
▼Kezhi Z98's standard shafts cost a lot, and they are all the latest shafts. The early Neptune/Venus switches are TTC high-end switches. The new version of the Kaihua Zhidong switch has just been released. It belongs to the Kaihua BOX axis series. It has a large buckle shaft cover and a five-legged shaft seat. It has a dust-proof wall that can effectively prevent dust and debris from entering the shaft body.
▼The Zhidong axis belongs to the HP-like advanced large paragraph axis. The light blue and white color scheme has the feeling of summer blueberry ice cream, and the visual experience is good. In terms of material, the nylon upper cover, the shaft and the shaft seat are made of POM material, so you can enjoy a smoother experience with more use without lubricating the shaft. Another feature of the Kaihua BOX axis is its stability. The square wall limits the shaking of the cross axis core, and the single-side press trigger can also ensure the consistency of response.
▼In terms of parameters, the initial pressure of Kaihua Zhidong axis is 40g, the trigger pressure is 38g, the bottoming pressure is 52g, the trigger stroke is 2mm, and the total key stroke is 3.6mm. From the tapping experience, the paragraph sense is obvious. However, the entry paragraph is relatively front, which belongs to pressing and entering. Unfamiliar friends may even mistake it for a linear axis. In addition, the short shaft design adopted by this switch makes the sound not as crisp as other paragraph switches, which is more suitable for friends who love the paragraph switch but worry about the sound disturbing others.

Generally speaking, Kezhi Z98’s hardware configuration, shape design, process details and keycap shaft body are very conscientious. It is not an exaggeration to describe it with stacking materials, and it has put a lot of effort into personalization and details. I am most impressed. The highlight is the mirror surface technology on the top cover, and the unique keycap design. The Zhidong switch equipped with it also belongs to the high-end switch series. The price of less than 600 is really delicious.
The deficiencies mainly focus on the cut feel on the edge of the keyboard and the castrated keys. It’s true that the screen is nice and practical, but at least keep the PgUP and Page Down buttons for me. As a creator, these two buttons are too important.
