However, the keyboard is not only cost-effective, just like when we buy clothes, while pursuing comfort and warmth, we naturally hope that it will look good and feel comfortable. When buying a car, in addition to the surging power, the intelligent car machine, exquisite interior, and smooth body lines can also attract consumers.

After all, the mechanical keyboard is at least an improved peripheral starting at 100 yuan, and its appearance and richer and more interesting functions should also be part of its user experience. So the one I am evaluating today is the H98 from Hubatu, a keyboard that will definitely make people's eyes shine.

Hubatu's H98 series this time has three colors, the main one is the pink-blue gradient color. The official name of the one I received is Neverland, which should be regarded as a tender green appearance. There are quite a lot of accessories. In addition to the shaft puller and dust cover, there is also an aviation plug cable with the same color as the keyboard and four personalized keycaps on the silicone surface. There are also two heightening feet.

The feel of this keycap is very good, soft and waxy, and the touch of the small claws is very similar to the claws of my chinchilla. The price of this set of four keycaps is more than 60, plus the aviation plug-in cable, the normal purchase of this set of accessories is close to 100 yuan.

The most eye-catching thing on the back is the round metal nameplate of the tiger and the rabbit. Everyone has different eyes on whether it looks good or not. I also think it is quite distinctive, and it is unified with the style of the entire keyboard.

Speaking of style, this keyboard uses heavily rounded corners in its design. The same is a keyboard, the complexity of the shell mold is different, and the cost varies a lot, but in simple terms, the more complex the shape, the more difficult it is to open the mold, and the more rounded corners, the higher the mold opening cost.

The cost of a keyboard does not only come from the design itself, there will be many unexpected difficulties in the process of realizing the design.

There is a big metal plate on the back, which you can’t see when you use it, but it’s for the other side to see: Hey buddy, look at my keyboard.

The design on the upper right corner of the keyboard is also quite interesting. There are two small knobs, which are responsible for mode adjustment and volume adjustment respectively. On the left side is a 1.14-inch TFT color screen. We will talk about this part later.

The keycap part uses a ball cap of unknown height. The F area is obviously taller and straighter. The edge of the keycap is round and the surface has an extremely fine matte texture.

The overall design is a contrasting color of dark green + orange, and the color scheme is mainly warm, which is also consistent with the sleek style of this keyboard.

Magnetic feet, the shorter pair can be used both front and back, so by changing the feet, this keyboard can achieve three different inclination angles.

First of all, in terms of appearance, I don’t think so. I think it is one of the keyboards with a sense of design in the past year. If you have any objections, you are right. Different people have different opinions on appearance.

H98 squeezes the entire F area together for the display screen, additional screenshots and the Del key. Although there are colors as a separation, it has caused certain difficulties for blindly pressing the F area.

The color of the display screen is full and bright. It is worth mentioning that the indicator light of the keyboard is hidden under the black bar between the number area and the main key area. It is basically invisible when it is not lit, but it has a texture when it is lit.

The entire functional area in the upper right corner is wrapped in rose-gold CNC process metal, and the metal block extends to the side of the keyboard, which is the switch of the keyboard. The position of this switch is well received, and the sense of paragraph is relatively clear.

In terms of the shaft, TTC Kuaiyin V2 is the favorite of gamers. Its advantages are good smoothness, easy rebound and fast triggering. The large key is a relatively common pink and white satellite axis. The one I received is well adjusted and can be regarded as T0 level.

Two-color formed keycaps, the chrysanthemum on the back is complete, and the spout is regular. If it is still Occident’s OEM, then it can be regarded as a relatively high standard. Some characters still have a slight bump when you touch them carefully, so I can’t give full marks. However, I still have to admire the rounded edges of this keycap, which is really cool to use.

The pad printing process is used on the side to mark all the functions of the Fn combination shortcut keys in blue characters, which can completely abandon the manual to realize the shortcut key functions.

One disadvantage is that the brightness of the backlight is not enough. Because of the upper light position and the gray silicone filling inside, the brightness of the entire keyboard is very low from the user's point of view. I turned on the backlight and looked at a few combinations. Closed him again.

Gamers can use it with confidence, the shortest interval between pressing two buttons is 1ms, that is to say, the rate of return is 1000Hz.

The driver content is relatively rich, you can set lights, macros, and most importantly, you can change the content of the small screen in the upper right corner.

You can choose to use the sketchpad to draw by yourself, or you can directly use the content shared by others, or you can use the pictures or animations you find yourself, and you can upload and share them with other users when you make them yourself.

In line with the principle that what can be disassembled must be dismantled, I disassembled it and found that there is even an H engraved on the bottom silicone.98

First of all, I have to explain that the light green top cover is actually made of iron, which is fixed on it by magnetic attraction. Under the iron lump are the screws that are densely covered around the keyboard. It took me a long time to remove it.

After all, the engineers of Hubatu were still worried about the Gasket structure, and added a set of screws and studs in the middle. However, when I actually press the screw, there is still a lot of sinking space, and it seems that it is not affected by this screw.

The two batteries together reach a capacity of 6000mAh, which is relatively large. After all, the TFT display still consumes a lot of power, and the internal space seems to only accommodate such a large battery.

The inside of the silicone is divided into blocks, which is very thick.

Needless to say, the shaft seat of TTC, the chips on this PCB board can be said to be rich. After all, it is necessary to realize the functions of mode switching, volume adjustment, especially TFT display. In fact, judging from the completion of the screens of friends, making this TFT screen is not as simple as everyone imagined.

The silicone "ears" used for cushioning are integrated with the sandwich silicone, and it also wraps the transparent PC positioning plate, which is very interesting in design.

Let’s summarize the internal structure of H98. Simply put, it is full of materials but conservative in design.

There is no doubt that the pron material is better than the silicone cushioning effect, but just like the screws densely covered on the edge of the plastic frame, the engineers are full of various cautions in the internal design. Although this keyboard seems to have a lot of internal space, if you look carefully, it only has richer lines, but in fact, the front and rear heights are at the level of normal mechanical keyboards. Coupled with the thick silicone, there is not enough sagging space reserved inside the H98.

The positioning board has slots, but the PCB is actually very thick, so the deformation that the entire structure can achieve is limited.

Each silicone ear needs to be placed on the PC positioning plate, which must be done by hand. The plastic bottom shell has a special slot for each "ear", and it seems that there is not much room for tolerance. The entire mold cost and assembly cost It's really not low.

But when it comes to the keyboard itself, Hubatu has done so much, but for the sake of structural stability, it gave up softer playing and better sound performance.

Finally, let’s talk about this metal strip, which is magnetic. When it is taken down, it contains a 2.4G receiver. I don’t know if the follow-up support supports custom replacement of the metal strip. The received sample magnet has fallen off from the plastic keyboard case, causing the metal strip to fall off easily, which should not be a problem with larger products. After all, this problem is easy to solve, or use stronger glue, or put the magnet on the back of the plastic.

The appearance of this keyboard is a bit contradictory with the appearance of the keyboard and the interior is solid, cautious, and conservative. In fact, it also reflects the consideration and choice of the brand side when making products. It may also be related to the positioning of this keyboard. After all, the return rate of TTC Kuaiyin V2 and 1000Hz is really not suitable for making the keyboard too soft for better game performance.

After all, it is difficult to have a keyboard that can meet the different needs of all kinds of consumption. The price of 799 yuan for the normal version during the event is definitely not expensive compared to its appearance, mold, materials and functions, but the keyboard itself is, you need it, if you like it, it’s worth it, if you don’t like it, it’s not worth it.

At least Hubatu H98 tells us that in the mechanical keyboard market in this deep winter, there is not only the male model volume king of the stacker shaft.
