The first time I saw Kezhi Z98, it was actually a picture shared by a big guy in the group who participated in the TTC high-speed rail axle launch conference. At first glance, it was really amazing. Z98 is designed with large rounded corners as a whole, and each side is smooth. Even Meng Hetang has nowhere to go. The front is designed with glossy spray paint, and Kezhi’s logo button on the upper right corner. When the screen is turned off, you feel that you can’t guess it. There is actually a color screen hidden under it.

The operation of the screen is composed of the electroplating dial on the right and the buttons on the left, which can be used to adjust the connection mode, backlight brightness, color, mode, etc., and can display the date, time and power on a daily basis. Not to mention practicality, it's really good-looking and really cool.

The Z98 has five color schemes. The red, black and white colorway was the most sent for testing in the early stage, and the red bean matcha colorway should be shipped in the near future. The shell as a whole is a gradient of emerald green and milky white, what does it look like?

One of the highlights of the Z98 is the appearance, so let's say a few more words. In fact, smooth surface painting is not so easy to do, and it requires a clean workshop. Most keyboard manufacturers probably don’t have this, and they don’t need it. I don’t know if the top cover of the Z98 is made by themselves.

The back is made of mint green matte material, the middle is a black translucent plastic frame, and on both sides are bulging patches similar to distorting mirrors. The whole design is really distinctive.

However, due to the complex structure, the front side of the keyboard is actually fine, and the seams of the upper and lower covers on the back side have obvious cuts. I hope that the mold can be further adjusted in the future.

Z98 inherits the glorious tradition of the Kezhi family. It still has two USB HUB ports, one C and one A, and it can only be used in wired mode. The metal nameplate on the back, two-stage foot support, the sound of opening and closing is very pleasant.

The keycap is a concave ball cap with KSA height. The actual height is similar to ASA. The surface is smooth and has a large concave. It is very comfortable to use after getting used to it. The characters are clear and beautiful, not to mention the characters themselves, even the Fn combination keys engraved on the side The prompt symbols do not have any concave-convex feeling to the touch, and the level of the keycaps can be said to be very high.

But what I want to say is that the arrangement of Z98 is actually 94 keys. The advantage of using it is that the F area is the same as the standard keyboard, which is not easy to accidentally touch, and it is more convenient to press blindly. For the important Del replacement, ins, screen capture, pause, PgUp, and PgDn all need to be realized through the Fn combination key, which brings some inconvenience to the actual operation.

In fact, I have a suggestion. First of all, numlock needs to be combined. I agree with both hands. I personally don’t have the habit of locking the number area, and it is often inconvenient to use it because of touching this button by mistake. However, PgUP and PgDn are indeed physical buttons that are very commonly used by many people. It is really inconvenient to use a combination like Z98, especially when the distance is quite far.

Can we use the mode switching slider in the upper right corner of the Z98? Anyway, most people won’t fiddle with this small screen after the freshness is over. Why don’t we set the kzzi button to be pressed repeatedly, for example, after three times, let the dial switch Instead of PgUP and Page Down, double-click three times to restore the mode of manipulating the small window. I suggest kzzi consider whether this will make it more useful. Of course, this is actually a test for the life of the toggle.

Next, let’s talk about the latest high-speed rail shaft body released by TTC. Let’s not talk about the retail price. Everyone buys and disassembles TTC shafts anyway. I won’t talk about the innovative design of the shaft body, but I don’t know if the TTC lacks confidence in the debugging of the new shaft. This Venus shaft is almost thickened, so that it doesn’t feel like TTC, but a bit like Jia Dalong, the knocking texture is really similar to the G2pro series shaft. When you press this shaft, you will feel that the smoothness is really good, but if you listen carefully, the sound of scraping against the shaft wall is also obvious, and at the same time, there is basically no sound of shrapnel. .

As for whether you like this thick and moist feel, that is a matter of opinion.

On the contrary, the benefit is that the Gasket structure made by Hourun + Kezhi and the cost-effective internal filling have formed a TTC-axis keyboard with the best sound recently. After all, the TTC axis has never been used before. The sound is healthy and strong.

There is nothing to say about the big key, rk and Kezhi are steady at T0.

In terms of internal structure, many people disassemble this keyboard, so I am too lazy to disassemble it. The main reason is that I am a little reluctant. Inoue’s poron sandwich cotton, IXPE shaft pad, foam + silicone double-layer bottom cushioning, it is considered top-notch in mass production. . In terms of room for improvement, consider opening a slot for the PC positioning board in the future. The overall sag space of the Z98 is relatively large among the mass-produced keyboards of the current era in early 2023.

In conclusion, Z98 can be regarded as a very individual keyboard. The whole appearance is filled with the style of "we are different". With the floating design (except for the short keycap), the design of Kezhi’s keyboard will not please everyone, but it at least conquered me. In terms of use, the large concave ball cap and thick gold star shaft are its characteristics. Kezhi has done a good job in the basic content of internal filling and large keys.

By the way, regarding the problem of Kezhi wireless delay, you can ask the customer service for a new driver. After updating the driver for some high-latency keyboards, the delay value can be reduced a lot.
