Some time ago, Akko opened its own small program, and cleared a wave of old version 3098b on it at a price of 299, which is the version before the patent turmoil. RGB three-mode hot-swappable, with Akko's own well-reviewed jelly white switch, three colors, I finally grabbed a Ocean Star.

Let’s talk about the small program of Akko first. The computer terminal went online first when the grab started that day, but the mobile terminal was not available for two or three minutes. I happened to be outside that day and only had a mobile phone. To make matters worse, the logic of this small program is that the payment will be recharged into the wallet first, and then you need to click the payment in the order to complete it. After such a pass, I finally only grabbed the ocean star that no one wanted. Moreover, it also stated that it does not accept unreasonable returns and does not provide warranty on the grounds of clearance. In short, try not to use these weird platforms when buying things, such as easy-to-link shopping (bushi).

After removing the foam from the box, there is a keyboard wrapped in pearl cotton, a dust cover, a manual, a receiver, a shaft puller, a personalized keycap, and a type-c cable of the same color as the keyboard with a shielding magnetic ring. Akko's packaging is still okay, and there are quite a lot of accessories for this price.

The keyboard body is the most standard, purest, pure natural and pollution-free, and the most fundamentalist 98-arrangement, but also because of patent issues, Akko’s subsequent 98-arrangement keyboards seem to be replaced with prizes for opening the cover. Needless to say about the arrangement, 98 is also an enduring arrangement. The key ring generally makes the keyboard smaller, and the public often prefers a full keyboard. 98 is a good balance, and the size has been reduced a lot at the cost of only a few keys in the editing area.

The overall color scheme of the Ocean Star is dark blue and deeper blue, with a bonus white supplement. The shell of the keyboard is also made of blue as a whole, and the consistency with the keycaps is not bad. There are few people rushing for this color scheme. It seems that it is because the color of the shell is difficult to match the keycap. The retro gray of 9009 is much more compatible. But without changing the keycaps, this color is pretty good, isn't it?

On the back of the keyboard are three-way outlets, two-stage foot supports, non-slip foot stickers and a nameplate.

The switch for switching wireless is also placed here. For this kind of keyboard that needs to be lifted to press the switch every time, please give a bad review first.

On the front of the keyboard, three white indicator lights are placed above the pad area. And these three indicator lights are not the conventional caps, num and scr, the middle light is the indicator light for charging in wired mode. This, after all, is a bit unreasonable.

This set of blue keycaps is Akko's own ocean star, ASA high pbt two-color, and the surface is coarse-grained matte.

I am quite satisfied with this set of keycaps, whether it is a good workmanship or a more comfortable height. This set of keycaps is sold in the Akko store, and the whole set sells for 99. I think it is worth the price, after all, the Akko keycap factory.

In terms of shafts, only Akko's own jelly white shafts are available for clearance. Fortunately, the evaluation of this shaft body is still good. The price of Taobao is more than one yuan, and it is also a shaft body recommended by Mr. Windows. KTT OEM, 35g trigger, 45g bottoming, 4mm travel, belong to the light pressure linear axis.

This type of axis is more versatile, and it is more comfortable for long-term codewords or games. At a price of more than one piece, it also achieves good smoothness and feel, and the stability of the axis is also very good.

Disassemble the shaft body, you can see the extended single-section spring, and not much factory run. Therefore, the switch can still make a rustling sound when held in the hand, but there is no problem with the keyboard.

However, this type of switch, such as gold powder, does not seem to sound very pleasant, at least this keyboard is like this, and the pursuit of sound is still the G Huang Pro. In addition, I like the appearance of this shaft body very much. The whole body is a frosted transparent shell, and with the pure white shaft, the light transmission is also very good. All in all, this is a good cost-effective shaft body in the early price range.

The satellite axis is purple, and it is probably Akko's own thing. It can be seen that there is a lot of oil, the overall performance of the large keys is not bad, there is basically no noise, most of the keys are relatively crisp, one or two are a little fleshy, just wipe the extra oil.

The keyboard supports three-mode connection, and the Akko logo is printed on the receiver. The b of 3098b is Shanghai Broadcom. I have to say that it is good civilization to print the logo on the receiver. It is really hard to tell if there are more than one keyboard and a bunch of receivers. Of course, it would be better if there is a storage compartment.

Broadcom's solution is still relatively mature, and several mass-produced manufacturers such as Akko and Fuling are using it. In the 2.4g mode, I basically can't feel any delay, and there is no problem playing games. Of course, it is recommended to place the receiver closer. Powered by a lithium battery, the battery capacity is 3000 mAh, which is relatively large, so there should be no need to worry about battery life.

As for RGB and drivers, it is natural to apply Broadcom's public model solution, which is the same as the driver for the bald head. It basically has all the functions that should be available, and also supports FN-level button modification.

RGB is a very different point. This brightness can’t be said to be radiant, at least it can be said to be better than nothing. It is basically ignored during the day, and it can only play a lighting effect at night.

The light transmission of the shaft body is already very good, and the sandwich cotton is black, which will affect the brightness to a certain extent, but the brightness of the lamp beads should be fundamentally insufficient.

The keyboard is a snap-on structure, and there are no screws on the casing. To disassemble the machine, you need to use a crowbar to pry off the upper and lower covers. Since the shell is too tight to fit, I can't find a place to start, so I won't dismantle it.

This keyboard should be difficult to disassemble, and the casing will inevitably be damaged. If you want to modify it later, it should be quite troublesome, and the space for modification is relatively small. According to the introduction, there are silicone bottom cotton and EVA sandwich cotton, but the effect is still average, and there is still a cavity sound. In addition, the sound performance of the shaft body is not outstanding, and the sound of the whole keyboard is relatively average. But that's okay too.

After snatching this keyboard, within a few days, I saw that Gauss's 98 was also being cleared, and then Akko brought the 199 single-mode version. Now the popular arrangement is 75, and after the patent incident, the only remaining 98 have also changed their forms. I am afraid that it will be difficult to see this pure 98 arrangement in the future, with a kind of pure beauty (bushi). In the context of the general pursuit of cost-effectiveness in key rings today, the price of 299 can no longer be said to be delicious, but at least it is worth buying. The basic configuration of RGB three-mode hot-swappable, coupled with a good shaft body and a good-looking appearance , as a daily keyboard is still very affordable.
