Keyboard Recommendation Series Part 23: Gaming Keyboard Recommendation - Corsair K70 RGB TKL

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL is an excellent gaming keyboard that is a smaller version of the Corsair K70 RGB MK.2. This is a well-built model with solid two-tone PBT keycaps. It has tons of gaming features like macro-programmable keys, full RGB backlighting, and a "tournament mode" switch that disables all macros and displays a single color so you can focus on the game. And the unit has a Cherry MX switch body, which is very light when pressed, providing a superior gaming experience. Typing in the office feels comfortable, but unfortunately there is no bowl holder. 

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL is an excellent gaming keyboard with the shortest Cherry MX switch body pre-travel. It also has very low latency for a responsive gaming experience. All keys are macro-programmable, have full RGB lighting, and are well made.

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL is wired and cannot be used with mobile devices.

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL is perfect for office use. The build is really nice, and the two-tone PBT keycaps feel great in the hand. It has excellent typing quality, but the linear Cherry MX Speed ​​switches don't have any tactile feedback, which can lead to more typing errors than usual.

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL is great for programming. You can set macros for any key, and it has full RGB backlighting. Typing quality is good, but the linear switches can be too light to press on some, which leads to increased typos. It's well made and has a solid frame, you'll need to buy your own clothes bowl holder.

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL is disappointing for home theater PC use. Since it's purely wired, you'll have to connect it directly to your TV and be within range of its cable. It also doesn't have a trackpad, so you'll need a mouse to navigate the user interface. However, it has full RGB backlighting so you can see the keys in the dark, and it has dedicated media keys.
