Keychron officially announced today the launch of the new Q5 customized mechanical keyboard, which adopts the Gasket structure design.
Q5 is a 96% all-metal customized mechanical keyboard. The body is made of 6063 all-aluminum material, which is engraved by CNC. The 100-key layout supports hot-swapping. In order to create a fully customizable keyboard, each part can be assembled by itself. In addition to the normal version, there is also a version with a knob volume adjustment, both of which support macOS and Windows systems.
Adopting Gasket’s mid-floor fixed structure, the huge drop-down space brings a more comfortable typing experience to the keyboard. It also fully supports QMK and VIA open source key change, users can program each key on the keyboard, open source firmware means that the keyboard layout, shortcut keys, backlight effects, etc. can be customized by themselves.
At the same time, it is equipped with south-facing RGB LED lights, which are more suitable for PBT, Cherry profile and opaque customized keycaps. The official also prepared an A to C adapter for the keyboard to adapt to the use of the keyboard in different scenarios, and supports the Type-C wired mode.
