In the past, mechanical keyboards were limited by the lifespan of the domestic switches, or the harsh use environment, and often encountered key failures. Fortunately, the progress of domestic shafts and the popularization of hot-swapping have largely solved this problem, and everyone can easily replace the failed shafts. However, hot-swapping sometimes encounters key failures, and changing the shaft does not help. At this time, there is a problem with the PCB.

Just picked up a pair of Dareu A84 with "8" key failure, let's take a look.

Dareu A84 Lieyanhong, I really can’t appreciate the appearance of this keyboard. The keycaps have a gradual change, and the plastic shell also has such a large-span gradient. It’s okay to have a gradual change in the shell, and spray paint is still used, and the spray paint is ugly, and even the red of the shell and the keycap are not the same red.

Remove the keycap first

It can be seen that the positioning board is very dirty with all kinds of debris and hair. Simply wipe with a brush first, and then deal with it later.

Unplug the shaft

You can see the black positioning board, there are silicone sandwich pads and black bottom cotton, which is not bad.

Remove a total of eight screws on the positioning plate, and then you can remove the positioning plate, silicone sandwich pad, black PCB and a thin bottom cotton.

First take off the satellite shaft on the positioning board, and take the positioning board to wash it with water.

Be careful when removing the PCB. This keyboard is rather strange. The battery is directly glued to the case, while the battery cable and PCB are soldered directly and cannot be removed. Therefore, the bottom shell cannot be washed with water alone, so we have to spray some alcohol.

Observing the PCB, I found the malfunctioning "8" key, and found that the shaft seat was loose, and it was a miracle when I inserted the shaft vigorously.

Weld the fallen shaft seat, power on and test, all trigger.

Then put the removed parts back the same way one by one, remember to dry the washed things, if you can't wash them, you can also spray some alcohol.

Unscrew a total of eight screws and install the shaft and keycap. In this way, a malfunctioning keyboard is revived.
