MXRSKEY CK650 introduces Chinese classical scroll design in the design language of the fuselage, so many classical elements are also used in the outer packaging. There are pattern elements such as cranes, auspicious clouds, and mountains on the outer box. After opening the box, a USB-A to USB-C data cable puller, / key puller, hexagonal wrench, 2.4G wireless receiver, and a keyboard manual are provided.

Coming to the MXRSKEY CK650 body, this is a 65% configuration kit with a 67-key design and a multi-function knob. The overall layout is a variant of the compact 68-key layout, which can be seen from the 3 function keys arranged on the right side of the space. One thing that is more friendly to newcomers is that the kit comes with a satellite shaft, which saves many newcomers the trouble of rushing to install the satellite shaft when purchasing the kit for the first time.

The knob in the upper right corner defaults to the volume adjustment function, which can be customized by the driver. There are four status indicators beside the knob, which correspond to caps lock, MAC mode, wireless indicator, and power indicator from top to bottom. CK650 uses 6063 aluminum alloy as the shell material, with CNC cutting and anodizing process, it has a very prominent metal texture and gentle and delicate touch.

The edges on both sides of the kit borrowed from the classical Chinese scroll design—slightly bulged and bent downward to form a circular transition, and RGB light strips are arranged at both ends to enhance the visual effect. After installation, lubricate it slightly with the included grease, it will have a better effect!

The keyboards used in recent years are basically linear switches, and the paragraph switch has not been used as the main force for a long time, so this time I use the CHERRY MX Ergo Clear jade switch for the switch body selection. The jade switch is optimized by replacing the spring, adding lubrication, and adding gold contacts on the basis of the white switch. It is between the white switch and the brown switch in the CHERRY MX family.

The MX Ergo Clear jade switch belongs to the paragraph switch with light pressure and no click sound of the green switch. It feels obvious and strong in the touch, but it does not have as loud a sound as the green switch. The trigger pressure of the shaft body is 40g, and the stage pressure is 55g. After that, the pressure in grams will continue to decrease. The trigger stroke is 2mm, and the total stroke is 4mm. Generally, the hand feel is more inclined to the brown shaft.

It is worth mentioning that this switch is also CHERRY's first switch that provides factory lubrication, which saves players from the trouble of moisturizing the switch by themselves. Different from the common PTFE grease, CHERRY chooses high-quality high-performance grease to lubricate the shaft, and cooperates with the high-precision automatic production line to lubricate the shaft to ensure that the shaft has a highly consistent feel.

The milky white shaft core and transparent shaft cover of the MX Ergo Clear jade shaft are matched with the white MXRSKEY DM positioning plate satellite shaft, which is very consistent in the presentation of visual effects.

The MXRSKEY CK650 kit is designed for the RGB lower light position. Although the MX Ergo Clear jade shaft does not have a light guide column design, the transparent shaft cover still has a good light transmission effect. With the positioning plate made of transparent PC, the lighting performance is quite eye-catching .

I have a set of Wenruo's black triangular keycaps that have not been removed. The five-sided sublimation process and the height of the original factory, I think this set of black keycaps should be more suitable for installation in the green kit.

The green body of the MXRSKEY CK650 kit with this set of pure black black triangle keycaps looks quite pleasing to the eye, but the characters are all triangle symbols, which are a bit too abstract, hahahahaha!

Replaced with a set of MXRSKEY and Ensolution’s gray and white retro UTA Russian keycaps. The Russian characters engraved on the front and the English characters engraved on the side are all made of thermal sublimation technology. The feature of this set of keycaps is that the keycaps are very thick. At 1.7mm, it can be said to be the thickest keycap at present.

The overall retro tone, green Russian characters, and dry and delicate sun-pattern texture combined with the green kit have a very good visual impression, but the keycap is too thick, and it feels more suitable for matching with linear switches. After the MXRSKEY CK650 is assembled and used, my experience is that the overall workmanship of the kit is very solid, whether it is CNC cutting, anodizing process or surface sandblasting, there is no problem. In terms of feel, because the overall filling is relatively thick, there is not much space for the inner tank to sink, so it presents a hard Gasket feel.
