Luo Fei 1% Mist: A vase full of strength, using the appearance to raise the new height of the mechanical keyboard

The decline of imported brands is often accompanied by the rise of new forces of domestic products. The keyboard and mouse peripherals, which seem to have been completely fever-free, have revived everyone's appetite in the past two years. While the out-of-the-box customization brings the mechanical keyboard to a new level, the price is also getting more and more fascinating. But I know that it is difficult for each company to be completely unique in nature, and it can only be unique by relying on design.

Lofree has always been the representative of the beauty class in the key circle. I won’t take stock of the classic works in the early years. Recently, the Fun 2㎡ series has released a lot of good products. The 1% mist version only uses design, and completes the design without color matching. Even though I have a lot of keyboards, I still decided to make a move.

As the third player in the 1% series, Misty’s packaging design is also advancing with the times. It is a normal operation for most products of the same series to use the same packaging. The design-driven Lofree does not think so, which is why the mist model has a more appropriate theme than the previous one.

The 1% series are all arranged with 68 keys. Unless you are obsessed with the F area and the small keyboard, most users will have no problem adapting to this arrangement. Secondly, extending from transparent to frosted, the appearance has a strong visual impact, and even feels like a new series. Compared with traditional black and white keyboards, this translucent or Gaussian blur design is the first time seen in mass-produced keyboards.

"Frosted glass" is very common in PS. The hazy feeling is easy to achieve in pictures, but it is not so easy to operate in real objects. Lofree is definitely not the first to think of such a design, but it is difficult to control the details and quality control when it is assisted in action. For example: the matte connection between the keyboard mold and the keycap; the font design of the keycap, the appearance of the ins style of the large character on the side; even the design of the bright metal nameplate and the intentionally exposed screw design are carefully designed, no more, no less appropriate benefit.

The A2C data cable that was configured before the factory has finally been redesigned. I like that there is no product with a public version. The data cable does not adopt the soft route of the mist. The design of the braided cable and the connector is quite the style of the aviation plug-in cable. The preset spring anti-bending is very helpful for such hard cables.

The keyboard itself has a certain inclination angle, plus a single foot support, the actual height must be sufficient.

Misty supports wired and wireless (Bluetooth) dual-mode, of which the wireless Bluetooth version is 5.1, which can support a total of 3 Bluetooth devices to bind and switch. At the same time, the bottom switch also supports independent Win (Android) and Mac (iOS) multi-system support, which greatly reduces the inconvenience of interconnection between desktop and mobile devices.

Design-driven companies often operate with care in areas that can be controlled by themselves. Fog keycaps are a good example. SA-like ball cap design, an additional cover is added to the bottom of the keycap, and the surface of the keycap is frosted except for the bottom. This Lofree self-developed keycap structure can be hollow, so DIY enthusiasts can even use this structure to play more tricks.

As we all know, wear-resistant materials such as PBT cannot be transparent, and the current mainstream transparent material is PC. In order to avoid yellowing, the mist keycaps use PC imported from Germany, which is more wear-resistant than traditional ones, and is not easy to yellow. At the same time, the silk screen characters use multiple processes to strengthen the wear resistance to ensure that the characters will not drop.

Before the transparent keycaps became popular, the MX siege jellyfish switch was still unknown and could not exert its own advantages. The 1% series has driven the heat of the jellyfish shaft. I happen to have a similar white body shaft in my hand. In contrast, the jellyfish shaft is more transparent and has a higher light transmittance, and the spring structure inside can be easily seen.

I think Misty is very complete as a mass-produced keyboard, and supporting hot-swapping is a plus for the product. In fact, users still have to follow the themes of white/transparent/frosted when replacing keycaps or shafts, which has certain limitations. Of course, this is just my family's opinion. Anyway, Misty has made sufficient preparations with the most compatible five-hole base.

Matte has a natural soft light effect, so it can be held no matter what the brightness is. Under the mist, the space bar exposed PCB has a dust-proof cover, and even this cover is treated with a matte surface, which is worthy of praise.

Generally speaking, the monochromatic light effect is reduced in the backlit keyboard. If 1% of Yusanjia is equipped with RGB, it will be a mess. It can be seen that the designer's "acceptance" is also very important. The misty white light effect is not dazzling at all, and the fully transparent and bright vision is even more eye-catching, even if it is not turned on and placed on the table, it is also eye-catching. The built-in 2000mAh battery gives good battery life performance. I can use it for a week without turning on the backlight according to my personal habits (6-8 hours a day). The battery life is at least half discounted when the light effect is turned on. Therefore, beauty and battery life can only be chosen between two up. (If I want everything, please turn on the wired mode)

Lofree still has a good understanding of appearance, and can launch fresh (not conflicting with the previous) good designs at different points in time. There are also keyboard enthusiasts who say that "Luofei is just a vase". In my opinion, the current 1% series can be called "a vase with full configuration". For ordinary users, this configuration has basically reached its peak.

Lofree Lofe Mist is driven by design, making art a reality. An excellent tabletop may only need a touch of eye-catching highlights, which will become a little mystery on the big tabletop and a big temptation on the small tabletop.
