I am also an old user of the Keychron Q series, and I hold many Q series.

It is basically the same as the previous Q series of Keychron. It is still a single-mode gasket structure. Q12 is one of the few long-arrangement aluminum tuotuo after Q5 and Q6. You must know that the longer-arrangement aluminum tuotuo has a consistent feel. And the experience is worse than the small series, and the workmanship is more difficult. Keychron's Q12 this time does not use the traditional layout, but the left-handed design.

That is, the small number area (pad) keyboard is placed on the left, and the knob is also the same as the Q10 I evaluated before. The adjustment of the knob is placed on the left. The advantages of this are:

However, during this period of my actual experience, plus some exchanges with other friends, the left-handed design is not bad for some left-handed users, but not all left-handed users are used to it. I personally think it is more focused on left-handed and Users who have the habit of frequently entering numbers, if you are a user with such needs, you can consider purchasing a wave of experience.

However, because the enter is on the right side, if you are used to pressing the CTRL key with your palm, it is easy to accidentally touch the Enter key in the pad area while pressing the CTRL key.

The internal structure is basically the same as before. The factory is filled with EVA sandwich cotton + barley paper pasted on the back of the PCB. This way, the sinking space is relatively large when pressed down, and the barley paper can also bring a slight HIFI factory sound, but the shaft body G green, tea, and white are still the basics of Jiadalong. I hope there will be upgrades in the future.

As for whether to add an upgrade package to the Q12, I personally think it is not necessary. I also mentioned earlier that the consistency of the longer aluminum tuo will be worse than that of the small series. I personally feel that the tuning, sound and feel of the factory are still OK after using it. Yes, and secondly, the overall improvement of the long matching aluminum tuotu plus the upgrade package will not be particularly large.

There are three multi-function buttons in the upper left corner of Q12, which support via change buttons like the previous Q series. Users can easily change the buttons they need. The factory default upper left corner is F13, 14, 15 under Windows system, which means there is no initial function. .

At the end of the content, I want to talk about the configuration and pad keyboard. In fact, Keychron also has a Q0 pad keyboard. If the subsequent Pro version can be made into a modular version, I personally think it would be better, that is, friends who don’t need a small number keyboard can buy 75% of it separately. , 87 TKL configuration is fine, if you need a small number keyboard, you can buy a 75%+pad keyboard, and when you need it, you can combine it to share a bluetooth channel. desktop space.

Give users enough and convenient free transformation, which is similar to ROG Dragon Knight 2, but Dragon Knight 2 can only be placed on the right side. Keychron can be made without magnetic connection. It is the user's choice to place it in up, down, left, and right directions.
