Memories Bureau, talk about the mechanical keyboards that I can't put it down in the past ten years

During college, I liked to toss mechanical keyboards. Until now, this little hobby has been with me for ten years. Although I have become a husband and a father, the tossing energy is far less than that of the past, but I still have an inexplicable intimacy with the mechanical keyboard.

Ten years in a hurry, many popular brands have disappeared. Who can remember the four brands of Das Green (Das Keyboard Model S), Filco Tea (Filco Majestouch2), Cherry Red (Cherry G80-3494), Steelseries Black (Steelseries 7G)? Put the "artifact" of the past.

Life is just a few autumns, and ten years is very long, so long that I can't remember how many keyboards I have used; ten years is very short, I can still remember the first Cherry axis keyboard I bought, the first time I typed Cherry G80-3494, the excitement of tossing the Corsair K70 LUX music rhythm for the first time.

After looking through the articles related to mechanical keyboards written in the past few years, I was quite touched, so I decided to write this article to talk to you about the mechanical keyboards that I used to love.

As one of the four artifacts, Cherry G80-3494 was once the dream of many people. Before I bought it, I also used many Cherry red switches, but when I hit the Cherry G80-3494 for the first time, the kind of just-right feedback made me feel inexplicably excited. The feel of the axis is very unique, which is obviously different from the ordinary three-legged red axis.

The Cherry G80-3000 series can be described as having a long history. This series has several characteristics: the appearance is retro (you can say that it is not retro, it is very old), the body is large, and the non-steel five-legged shaft feels really good. The shortcomings of this keyboard are also very obvious. The details of the shell are unbearable to look directly at. A bank card can be inserted into the gap between the upper and lower covers; the big key is a satellite shaft, which feels fleshy and has obvious noise. This is the main reason why I gave up it. one of the reasons.

In addition to the problem of large keys, the shell material of this keyboard is also a problem for many people. The milky white color is really beautiful, but it is easy to turn yellow after a long time, and the serious yellow color is ugly. So, before choosing the Cherry G80-3494, ask yourself if you can accept its shortcomings.

Corsair K70 LUX RGB is the first RGB mechanical keyboard I bought. I bought it from Amazon in 2016/17. I personally think it is the most beautiful and coolest keyboard at that time. Even now, it has few rivals.

Among all the lighting effects, I love the rhythm of music (the keyboard lights dance with the melody of the music). At that time, there was no preset and only Corsarir Effects Engine could be used to set it. The effect is still very smooth. I remember that at that time other brands except Razer Neither, and the Razer's effects look pretty crude compared to the Corsair's.

In addition to lighting, appearance is also the highlight of Corsair K70 LUX series. Aluminum alloy panel, surface metal wire drawing process, floating keycap design, detailed workmanship is very exquisite, and the overall texture is first-class. I also like the ABS keycaps of this keyboard very much. The touch is very delicate. At that time, only Razer could compete with it.

Of course, this keyboard is not perfect, the lamp beads are easy to break, and the green switches are easy to smell. My keyboard broke 2 lamp beads and stinks one axis in half a year. Fortunately, Corsair's after-sales policy is very friendly. If there is a problem within 2 years, it will be replaced for free. Amazon overseas purchases can also go through the domestic RAM channel.

Another simple and tough keyboard with straight masculine style, the Razer Hunter Light Spider Elite Edition that I started in 2019. The appearance is simple, the upper cover is made of aluminum alloy, the design of the floating button, and the texture is also awesome. The multimedia control key area in the upper right corner is also its highlight. The knob can customize the control function through Leiyun, which is handsome and practical.

I really like the wrist rest of this keyboard, which is magnetically designed and made of protein leather. It feels like jelly when pressed. It is very, very soft and very, very comfortable. This bowl rest also supports Razer Chroma lighting effects.

The Razer Hunter Soul Light Spider Elite Edition is equipped with Razer optical mechanical switches, which feel crisp and light. The "click click" feedback is like a Cherry blue switch that reduces the trigger pressure. It is suitable for friends who like the feel of the paragraph switch.

My first aluminum tuotuo was obtained through Aunt Zhang's public test in 2018.

Pure white keycaps, anodized aluminum alloy metal shell, good looking. The standard 61-key 60% keyboard layout removes the numeric keypad, arrow keys, function keys and F area of the traditional full-size keyboard. The advantage is that it is compact and easy to carry; the disadvantage is that many functions need to be realized through the Fn combination key, which is inconvenient and suitable for pure code word parties.

IQUNIX F60 presets rich lighting effects, which is not the same as Corsair K70. The lighting of IQUNIX F60 is more trendy, brighter, and more exaggerated, while the lighting of Corsair K70 is calmer, more atmospheric, and cooler.

I have played dozens of mechanical keyboards for so many years, but I think I am just a "superficial" enthusiast, because I haven't entered the pit for customization for so long. Recently, I finally realized my "customization" dream, and it is a very cost-effective civilian-level customized keyboard - Keychron-V2.

Keychron-V2 is a mass-produced version with 65% customized mechanical keyboard, sub-kit version and fully assembled version. The kit version does not have the switch body and keyboard and needs to be assembled manually. Players can enjoy the fun of customization.

This is a fully assembled version. Although what I received is an assembled finished keyboard, each switch body, keycap, satellite switch, and even positioning board can be configured according to your own preferences.

The shell of this keyboard is designed with a full plastic shell layout. You can clearly see the six upper and lower fixing screws, and you can also vaguely see the components at the bottom of the shell, exuding a faint industrial atmosphere. I have to say that the appearance of Keychron-V2 is really cool, with 65% arrangement, keycap color matching, knob in the upper right corner, and RGB lighting effect.

This keyboard uses Kpro RGB blue switches, supports hot swapping, and supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches. The pressure of the Kpro Green switch is 60±10gf, and the trigger stroke is 2.0±0.4mm. The pressure of the familiar Cherry Green switch is 60g, and the trigger stroke is 2.4mm. Compared with the Kpro Green, the trigger is faster.

There is not much difference between the two in terms of hands-on feel, and the voice of Kpro Qing sounds more crisp.

The Duga new hot-swappable mechanical keyboard K610W (three-mode), which I bought not long ago, has some improvements in appearance compared with the previous male model, and has a more design sense, but it still uses a plastic shell as always, and the texture is almost meaningless.

This keyboard adopts the CAP crystal axis red axis customized in cooperation with Jiadalong, supports full-key hot-swapping, and feels very good. It supports Windows+macOS dual system, Bluetooth 5.0+2.4G two wireless connection methods, can connect 3 devices at the same time and supports one-key switching.

According to the official introduction, when the battery is fully charged, it can be used for 8 hours per day. The Bluetooth mode can last for 360 days, and the 2.4G mode can last for 200 days. I don't know if this data is accurate, because I haven't charged it since I started using it (full charge). I have to say that the battery life of this keyboard is really NB.

Before domestic switches were so popular, Filco (big F) and Leopold (big L) were the two most relentlessly blown brands in the mechanical keyboard industry.

I have bought the Sacred 2nd generation tea switch with big F, and the FC900R red switch with big L. It is worth affirming that both keyboards are great and classic. They have a common feature: excellent workmanship and solid materials. What's more, the customized case of big F, the color matching and arrangement of big L are all recognized first-class level in the circle.

The feel is a subjective evaluation. At least in my opinion, the feel of the keyboards of these two brands is not as magical as the Tieba forum. Especially after the domestic custom-made shafts are hot, many shafts can rub them against the ground in terms of hand feel alone. Of course, if there is a belief bonus, then don't think so much and buy it directly.

In the past two years, domestic mechanical switches such as Kaihua, Jiadalong, and TTC have developed rapidly, and various keyboard brands are competing for beauty, including some previously unpopular Internet cafe brands.

If you pay more attention to the feel, some domestic custom switches can already crush Cherry switches, but the prices of these switches are often not so beautiful, starting at 5 yuan and not capped. However, the mechanical keyboard is not only the mechanical switch, other components are equally important. Just like a domestic switch keyboard I bought before, although the hot TTC gold powder switch is used, and the color matching is also very individual, the workmanship of the keycap and shell is terrible.

So you know, you must keep your eyes open before buying.

There are a thousand Hamlets in the eyes of a thousand viewers. Everyone has different preferences. I don’t want to focus on recommending a certain mechanical keyboard. In fact, I would like to hear your opinions on mechanical keyboards from different occupations, different ages, and different hobbies. Memories, opinions or obsessions, welcome to speak and discuss in the message area~
