Neo's Pragmatic Peripherals Guide Chapter 128: How about CHERRY jade axis (ERGO CLEAR)? The first evaluation of KC 200 with new shaft body

Hello everyone! I am Young Master Shen! Recently, a not-so-big thing happened to the key ring, that is, CHERRY Cherry officially launched a new MX switch body, which was made based on the feedback from the global CHERRY user community. We know that the shaft body of the CHERRY MX series has always been talked about more by the key circle.

On the one hand, as a Benchmark-like existence, many players will use "not as good as CHERRY MX" or "personally think it is worse than CHERRY" as the watershed for axis evaluation. However, the comparison of traditional MX red, blue, black, and brown switches has been out for so many years, and the following new switches such as white switches and silver switches are between conventional switches and customized switches. It will make everyone feel that dignified CHERRY doesn't have a more unique new axis body? No, CHERRY MX jade shaft and ink shaft are here. And this time, CHERRY officially collected the Chinese name of the axis in the community, and finally decided on the name. It can be said that it started from the community and is loyal to the community. The following are the messages of the two final winners.

However, when we choose the axis body, we still have to experience it on the keyboard. So I also got started with the CHERRY KC200 MX keyboard equipped with CHERRY MX jade switches for the first time. Bring the actual test report to the friends, let's not talk nonsense, let's look at the keyboard directly.

This keyboard has 4 colors, of which the main ones are blue and white, orange gray, and pink, and there is also a bronze/black one that is mainly cost-effective. However, the entire series has been adapted to the jade axis, and you can buy it according to your needs.

So what is so special about this jade shaft? To put it simply, it does not have that very click-like feel, and it can be triggered at 40cN, and it has a pressure of 55cN. Coupled with CHERRY's special factory-lubricated high-performance grease, the shaft is lubricated through an automated production line, which can not only reduce friction and bring a smooth stroke, but also have a more durable lubrication effect than common hand-lubricated PTFE grease. In other words, for mainstream users, there is no need to fiddle with it yourself, and you can use it immediately.

The specific pressure grams chart is as follows. Like other CHERRY MX shafts, this shaft is produced by the original German CHERRY factory, and the quality control is still as stable.

It is worth mentioning that one of CHERRY's signature technologies, the golden cross contact technology, is also used, which can bring a stable touch and a trigger life of over 50 million times, as well as a signal debounce time of less than 1ms. Therefore, this switch is not only suitable for typing, but also very reliable for gamers who like to feel heavier and more solid, and there is almost no delay time with a suitable keyboard.

At the same time, the trigger travel of 2mm and the bottom travel of 4mm also allow the keyboard to achieve a good so-called "mechanical feel" when typing. Simply put, the jade switch is still a paragraph switch, but it is different from the traditional green switch and tea switch. The axis is very different, the trigger is fast, there is no click sound, the bottoming pressure is not low, and the feedback is relatively strong.

Although the KC200 keyboard is mainly used in office scenes, I personally think it is quite versatile. The three main colors are all PBT ball caps, which not only look more youthful, but also have better oil resistance. With large font printing, it looks quite fashionable.

As a full-size keyboard, in addition to the numeric keypad area, there are also multimedia shortcut keys and one-key calling out the "calculator" application, which are more useful functions in office scenes. You can also pause it with one click when watching a video while touching fish.

The craftsmanship of the keycap is good, and there is no obvious spout. As expected of CHERRY, the quality is still acceptable at this price.

The floating design will also make the entire keyboard look lighter.

The keyboard uses a wired connection, and there are open and close tutorials. It looks good on the desktop.

Next, we will focus on the feel of the CHERRY jade shaft. The first is the daily office typing scene. The feedback of the jade axis is very good, so the pressure of the passage at the bottom is relatively high, but the trigger pressure is relatively moderate, so when you press it, you can have a quick response without feeling too soft. Weak, and it does have a very different feel from the red and brown switches.

For playing games, the jade axis is also very suitable. Although the keyboard of the KC200 is large in size, as long as it is tilted, it can still give the mouse a relatively large operating space. Coupled with the smooth effect and good consistency brought by Changrun, the feedback of pressing when playing games is very clear, and the trigger speed is also good. Although not as fast as the silver-axis gaming keyboard I usually use, it is still quite sufficient.

In general, CHERRY jade switch is still a relatively balanced new switch body. As CHERRY approaches its 70th anniversary, I am also very happy to see that this old brand manufacturer still pays attention to the voice of the community and brings new ideas. . The German original production and high-standard quality control that CHERRY has always insisted on are also well preserved. This also makes me more confident in the long-term stability of this keyboard. After the actual measurement, I personally think that the jade switch is suitable for those friends who like the paragraph feel, but don’t want the strong click feeling of the green switch, and also need a certain heavy bottoming pressure to bring enough feedback. To put it simply, it is not hard to press, not soft to the end, and friends who have a sense of paragraphs. Whether it is used as an office keyboard or playing games, this is a more reliable choice. Considering that the price of jade switches is the same as that of other products equipped with red switches, tea switches, and green switches, I personally think that it can be called an increase in quantity without price increase, which is very sincere.

If you mainly focus on the CHERRY jade switch and don’t mind the ABS laser-engraved keycaps, you can choose the black version, which is more cost-effective.
