Observation and Information Station Part 2: The first update + 5 switches, mechanical keyboard switch ladder diagram (20221107)

The axis ladder map is continuously updated. There are not enough axes measured before, but it will be gradually improved. Please rest assured that we will do better if you give some time. Recently tested 5 shafts, their data has been updated in the video column, if you are interested in the details, you can take a look.

Among the 5 axes updated this time, two unexpectedly entered the top three, namely Jiadalong’s G Silver PRO 2.0 (contact NO.3) and Shuangfeiyan’s LT optical axis (non-contact NO.3). ), a proper dark horse, and the current ranking has also undergone some changes. I will briefly share my feelings about the several axes tested this time.

The OmniPoint magnetic switch, the earliest mass-produced magnetic switch, is hardly used by anyone except SteelSeries. This magnetic switch has very obvious characteristics of the early Giadalon red switch. Normal pressing is smooth but also very loose. After installing the keycap Its shaking range is very large. According to the data at the corner of the keycap, you can see that the smoothness of 85% is average. If it is based on the aesthetics of current players, this loose feeling may not match the thousand-yuan price at all. Regarding its stroke, we have measured it before, and the 0.4mm trigger cannot be achieved, and the earliest 1.08mm conduction is possible, but objectively speaking, this axis is not born for code words.

The new optical axis structure of LT Shuangfeiyan is completely different from the 2nd and 3rd generation of LK optical axis in appearance, more like ordinary machinery. But it can achieve 3-segment triggering (2.0-1.5-1.0mm), we also took the time to verify it, and revealed in advance that its three-segment conduction measurement is about 2.2-0.9-0.6mm. Combined with the data of the magnetic axis, it is objective It is not small to be precise about this multi-stage itinerary. In terms of feel, although the previous LK third-generation structure has a balance bar, it is not perfect. The main reason is that the guide core shakes a lot and the corner pressing force increases relatively. Now this LT has improved these problems. The new structure guide core of the LT optical axis is much more stable, and some quiet designs have also been added. The entire percussion sound is dull and not gathered.

I remember that when the ROMER-G axis first came out, the feedback was not very good. The key stuck. After so many years, it seems to have improved, but it seems that the structural flaw is difficult to completely overcome. The light-emitting structure in the center, but the latecomer ROG’s RX axis has played around. After adding the scissors structure, the guide core is stable and the corners are extremely smooth when pressed. The smoothness (98.51%) is almost perfect from the data point of view. . Looking at the ROMER-G L-axis, the parameter settings (travel, force) are all in line with the needs of the game, but the feel is only basically usable, and it is gratifying that there is no bottom. Maybe Logitech’s GX axis will be better.

As for the other two traditional axes, the G Silver PRO 2.0 climbed to the third place, which is really unexpected. Strictly speaking, G Silver PRO 2.0 is not perfect in terms of curves, but it has no shortcomings, and its consistency and smoothness are around 90%. As for the NX shaft manufactured by Kaihua for ROG, its performance is stable and quite satisfactory, and it is not bad to be able to climb to No. 10 on this ladder.
