I thought the keyboard had not arrived yet, so today we will take a look at the newly upgraded sky axis V4.

If you just look at the appearance, it is obvious that Dareu sky axis V4 has added a light guide column design in the light position. The sky blue shaft core is paired with a white top cover, which still looks like a sky color scheme.

Let's compare the four generations of sky switches together, and the four mechanical switches still follow the blue and white "sky" color scheme. The first sky axis is the V1 with cross axis core + opaque blue PC cover, which was launched in 21 years with the light and light linear feel of 40gf as the selling point; soon after, the V2 version with stronger light transmission was launched, which changed It is a semi-transparent PC cover; then the V3 version of the fence-type structure shaft core was launched, and the current V4 version is to add a light guide column to enhance the lighting effect while continuing the stability of the shaft core.

The upper cover is not designed with a big buckle, so it is quite easy to remove, and the internal structure is not particularly different, the only thing is that the light guide bar on the upper cover is too tight to be removed.

The upper cover of Dareu sky axis V4 is made of POK material, which feels as smooth as POM material, and the reflective smooth surface can be seen under the light. The POK material can be understood as a plastic that is more than ten times stronger in self-lubrication and wear resistance than POM. Compared with the commonly used PC material, the upper cover will be harder.

The shaft core is made of POM. At present, most of the mainstream mechanical shafts will choose this material with strong self-lubricating properties. It has a wide range of applications. For example, some parts of Dareu’s KBS key balance system also use POM material.

The 20mm gold-plated spring has been upgraded from an alloy spring to a gold-plated spring on the sky switch V3. The main function is to prolong the service life of the mechanical switch.

The gold-plated contact shrapnel is also commonly used in the mechanical switches with names on the market. It is also for anti-oxidation and prolonging the life of the mechanical switches.

The official label of the shaft seat is PA66 material. In fact, it is a commonly used nylon shaft seat. Nylon material has a good effect in noise reduction and shock absorption. Of course, there are also nightshaft shafts that are made of fiber materials and noise-absorbing pads for noise reduction. Anyway, All for shock absorption. The five-pin design is more stable for hot-swappable mechanical keyboards.

Because it also has a light guide column design, I took out TTC Flame Red, which I personally feel has the strongest light effect, for comparison. From the appearance point of view, the width of the light guide column of Dareu sky axis V4 is narrower, and the surface where the light diffuses is smaller, while the light guide column of TTC is obviously larger.

Visible to the naked eye, the light flux, spotlight effect, and light chromatic aberration designed with the light guide column are all perfect, and the brightness and range of the light are stronger than bare lamp beads. In addition to adding the light guide column design, the sky axis V4 has also made great adjustments in terms of feel, the trigger pressure has increased by 5gf, and the total stroke has been reduced by 0.4mm.

The key stroke is shorter and the pressure has increased by 5gf. The overall feel is quite different. Compared with the sound of the keys, the feeling is still the same. Thanks to the core structure of the wall, the consistency of the keys and the stability of the core are very strong. .
