On the 23rd of last month, TTC’s official brand Kedian held the 2023 new product launch conference at the Kempinski Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai, and launched four high-speed rail-style Neptune switches, Venus switches, Rabbit switches OG version and Rabbit switch RGB version. At the meeting, Mr. Yu Zhengming, the general manager of Genuine Technology, explained the four switches. Kezhi, Yufu and Mechanic also introduced their new keyboards.

In recent years, with the development of e-sports games, domestic switches and micro switches have risen one after another, and they have really become popular in the peripheral and customization circles. As an upstream head manufacturer of peripherals, TTC releases new products at a very high frequency. In 2022 alone, the Tiger Switch OG version, Tiger Switch Standard Edition, Tiger Switch RGB Version, Gold Powder Switch Ultimate Edition, Fast Gold Switch, and Giant Switch will be released. A total of four shafts were launched at the press conference, and I currently have three of them, so let me share them briefly with you.

The TTC 2023 new product gift box adopts portable packaging, and the main color of "TTC blue" echoes the elements of high-speed rail and planets.

Each set contains four shafts and a rabbit keycap. This year is the year of Kuimao, and the red background with jade rabbit is quite a new year.

The TTC high-speed rail Neptune switch and Venus switch adopt the square and round shape of the ground floor. The surface of the upper cover adopts an alternating combination of smooth and frosted surfaces, and the buttons with a rectangular outer frame. And it adopts the one-piece long track shaft cover design, no gap, no abruptness, micro-steps and jamming feeling, and smooth pressing. The sliders on both sides of the shaft core are extended from 5.2mm of the traditional mechanical shaft to 6.0mm, and the shaft core sliders penetrate to the top of the shaft cover to improve the contact stability with the track.

The terminal shrapnel of TTC high-speed rail Neptune axis and Venus axis adopts anti-oxidation and anti-blackening coating silver-plating process, and silver-plated spring. It is equipped with TTC condenser lens module, high-transparency button and high-transparency base to improve backlight flux and light transmittance. The shaft is self-lubricated when it leaves the factory.

The TTC high-speed rail Neptune and Venus shafts use 5-pin shafts. My customized kit uses an inverted shaft seat, which is compatible with 3-pin and 5-pin shafts. The installation is quite easy. The light concentrating effect of the TTC condenser lens module is quite good, with sufficient brightness and uniform lighting. The TTC high-speed rail structure and the two shafts feel solid, tight and smooth with some mechanical damping, just like the silky feel of butter cut by a hot knife as officially described.

The TTC Neptune axis is a linear axis, straight up and down, linear feel, trigger pressure 41gf, trigger stroke 2.0mm, total stroke 3.8mm, design life 100 million times. Compared with the TTC gold powder switch, the trigger stroke is the same, and the total stroke is 0.2mm shorter, but the trigger pressure is 4gf heavier, and the trigger feels a little heavier than the gold powder switch, but the speed is a little faster.

The two high-speed rail structural shafts released by the TTC use the planetary elements of the solar system. The TTC Neptune shaft has a blue upper cover, and the TTC Venus shaft has a yellow upper cover, which is basically the same color as the planet.

Both the TTC Venus axis and the Neptune axis are linear axes, but individual parameters are still different. The trigger pressure is 45gf, the trigger stroke is 1.8mm, and the total stroke is 3.8mm. The trigger force of the TTC Venus axis is a little bit stronger, but the trigger stroke is shorter. One point, the total travel is the same, with a slightly heavier feel on the trigger, but a little faster.

Try the rabbit keycap that comes with the "4+1" set, the extraordinary magenta is very eye-catching. The keyboard is the cheap ass A3 kit, and it is matched with XDA high-level agent low-light keycaps. Although the rabbit keycap is not of XDA height, the effect after trial installation is not inconsistent.

To tell you the truth, XDA’s “flat-chested” keycaps are really good looking, but when actually coding, it’s still more comfortable with ergonomic height. In addition, there are no blind spots on the F and J keys of this set of keycaps, and it is easy to make mistakes when typing blindly. This set of secret agent Shimmer keycaps adopts a minimalist style. After replacing it with an extraordinary magenta rabbit keycap, it is a bit of a finishing touch.

In 2022, on the eve of the Spring Festival of the Year of the Tiger in Renyin, TTC released the first Zodiac-limited tiger switch OG version, Lego-style structure, super long spring, high reputation, hard to find one switch, later released standard version of tiger switch and RGB version. This year, the Year of the Rabbit, TTC launched the second Zodiac-limited rabbit switch OG version, and at the same time launched the rabbit switch RGB version with better light transmission.

The Rabbit Axis OG version currently has a variety of sets, 5 pieces, 10 pieces, 60-110 pieces, and the blessing set I have on hand. The blessing set contains 10 OG versions of the Rabbit Axis, and a limited edition decompression tester for the Rabbit Axis Zodiac in the Year of the Rabbit.

The suit is designed with a red bottom shell and a transparent upper cover, and the shaft body, keycap and shaft tester are fixed in the transparent groove.

The OG version of the TTC rabbit shaft adopts a double-pass light design, the base and the shaft core are made of high light-transmitting materials, and the design is 5 feet. The extraordinary magenta upper cover and the Jade Rabbit pattern on the front side are integrated. It adopts the mold manufacturing and injection molding process of double-material and multi-color cross conversion. The process is complicated and the development is difficult. The front of the upper cover is printed with a limited number of exclusive numbers, which enjoys a lifetime warranty. The back side is engraved with the ancient Chinese character "Guimao", which is very valuable for collection.

The OG version of the TTC rabbit shaft adopts the "gold and silver" process, the conductive metal terminals are electroplated with anti-corrosion coating, the surface of the terminals is electroplated with 99.99% metal silver, and the conductive contact double contacts are plated with gold. The joint between the conductive terminal feet and the base adopts the anti-penetration process of adding glue. Generally, when the shaft is dismantled and lubricated or hot-swapped, the shaft terminal feet will often loosen and shift. After adding the anti-unplugging and anti-shifting glue process, the stability is stronger.

The OG version of the TTC rabbit shaft is a silent linear fast shaft. A square ring-shaped sound-absorbing part is added to the shaft core, and the bottom is also equipped with a sound-absorbing part, which can better control noise. The trigger pressure of the shaft body is 42gf, the trigger stroke is 1.2mm, and the total stroke is 3.8mm. The trigger pressure is moderate, and the stroke is between the TTC quick silver and gold powder switches.

The blessing set is equipped with a limited edition decompression tester for the Year of the Rabbit Rabbit Axis Zodiac. It has the same extraordinary magenta shell as the OG version of the Rabbit Axis and is equipped with a keychain hole. The snow-white rabbit pattern is engraved on the front, which echoes the pattern of the OG version of the TTC rabbit axis. The bottom is engraved with the word "Guimao" in an ancient style, and the inside is a 5-pin hole PCB board, which is compatible with most shafts on the market and supports hot swapping.

The shaft tester is equipped with RGB illusion LED lamp beads. When pressed, the light turns on and triggers the illusion gradient light effect. After installing the TTC Rabbit Switch OG version and Rabbit Year Rabbit Switch Zodiac Limited Edition Rabbit keycap on the switch tester, the appearance is still quite high, and it is booming. Along with the OG version of the TTC rabbit axis, there is also the RGB version of the rabbit axis. The shaft body adopts a split upper cover, and the upper cover uses a mold manufacturing and injection molding process with special-shaped fine patterns, double materials and multi-color cross conversion. The upper cover and the base are made of high light-transmitting materials, which can better show the backlight effect, and are very suitable for use with transparent keycaps.
