Rapoo is a well-known peripheral peripheral brand in China, and its product line has been gradually improved in recent years, especially the e-sports V series has been well received. This time I bought the Rapoo V530 gaming keyboard. On the one hand, I chose it because I saw the infrared silver switch independently developed by Rapoo, and wanted to experience the feel of the silver switch; on the other hand, the color matching of this keyboard is also relatively refreshing. , bringing a little different decoration to the whole set of desktops.

The packaging design continues the style of the Rapoo family, with black and blue splicing as a whole. The rendering of the keyboard is printed on the front of the box, the LOGO of the Rapoo V series is in the upper left corner, and the product model is printed vertically on the right.

The Rapoo V530 keyboard adopts a standard 104-key layout, and retains the number pad area on the right, which is more friendly to accounting workers. The length and width of the keyboard are 43.8cm and 13.6cm respectively, which takes up a little space on the desktop. This keyboard is available in two colors. The gray-green one I chose is officially named "Coconut Grove Mojito", which is visually refreshing.

The front cover of the keyboard is made of metal, and the surface is supplemented by horizontal brushed lines, which is full of luster. The external seams of the keyboard are tightly seamed, and the internal PCB board is protected with hydrophobic nano-coating, which has the effect of waterproof and dustproof. The keycaps are available in three colors of light green, gray and white, which are distinguished according to the function and position of the keys, and are arranged in a regular and orderly manner.

This keyboard adopts an independent floating keycap design, all the keycaps are floating above the cover, and the shaft below can be vaguely seen from the side. The advantage of the floating keycap is that it is easier to clean the dust hidden in the keyboard.

There are three indicator lights distributed above the right numeric keypad area, which are the numeric key indicator, upper and lower case indicator and lock indicator in turn.

Viewed from the side, the rear of the keyboard is slightly higher than the front, and the overall back is high and the front is low, conforming to ergonomics. It is also equipped with RGB ambient light strips on the left and right sides. After the power is turned on, the light effect will automatically light up to decorate the desktop. Students who don't like light pollution can also turn off the light effect through the Fn+Ins combination key.

Rapoo V530 is a wired keyboard. The wire extends from the right side of the back of the keyboard. The length is about 1.8 meters. It uses a standard USB interface and a shielding ring is installed near the plug.

The bottom of the keyboard is wrapped with a whole black cover, with a self-adhesive nameplate in the middle. The four corners are equipped with rubber non-slip foot pads, and two support feet are designed at the rear for easy adjustment of the keyboard support angle.

When using it, just connect the USB plug to the computer directly, no need to install the driver, just plug and play. In actual use, the two factors that directly affect the keyboard experience are the keycap and the shaft. Rapoo V530 adopts two-color injection-molded keycaps, and the surface of the keycaps is supplemented with fine frosted particles, which feels warm and comfortable and has good anti-slip properties. The keycap characters adopt a hollow design, and the backlight can penetrate the characters.

The infrared silver switch self-developed by Rapoo is also the biggest feature of this keyboard. The switch body adopts the infrared light blocking method to conduct, without metal contacts, reducing unnecessary mechanical structures, fast response, stable and reliable, and the life of a single switch body It can reach 50 million times, ensuring that long-term use is not prone to continuous strikes or malfunctions. According to the official parameters, the total stroke of the silver switch is about 3.8±0.4mm, the trigger stroke of the key is about 2.0±0.4mm, and the trigger pressure is 55±5gf.

Combined with the actual experience, the trigger force of the silver switch is relatively small, the keystroke is short and the feedback of pressing is clear. The sound produced by tapping the keys is relatively crisp, and it does not have the obvious sense of paragraph like the green axis. I have been used to using the silent red switch before, and the silver switch gives people a not very solid impression when I first started, but after getting used to it for a while, I found that the experience of the silver switch is completely different from the previous four traditional switches of green, red and black tea. It is more friendly to users like me who need to input text frequently, and the fingers will not be particularly tired when coding for a long time.

In the game experience, the performance of the silver axis is not bad. The brisk button feel will not be particularly strenuous in game operations, especially games like "Need for Speed" that require high-frequency and rapid tapping of fixed buttons. The younger brother at home prefers to play "League of Legends". In the game, he releases skills through the keyboard keys, which feels solid and is not easy to accidentally touch.

In order to improve the efficiency of daily operation, the Pennefather V530 mechanical keyboard has also designed corresponding shortcut keys. Fn+F1-F6 respectively correspond to different shortcut commands, which are multimedia, play/pause, stop, volume up, volume down, and mute. However, the icons of the corresponding functions are not marked on the buttons, and it takes some time to adapt and remember at first.

In addition, this keyboard also supports 104-key full-key without punching, ensuring that every operation of each key can respond accurately. Corresponding to actual use, complex shortcut key combinations are usually required when using Adobe software. In addition, multiple key combinations are also used to trigger custom macros in games. In scenarios with special needs, the practicability is not improved few.

Light pollution is also the main highlight of this keyboard. Although I usually use it with the backlight turned off, I have to admit that turning on the backlight can indeed add some decorative effects to the desktop. Rapoo V530 adopts the ice blue monochromatic backlight system, the blue backlight gives people a cold feeling, by matching with 12 preset lighting effects, the gameplay is diversified.

Combined with a period of experience, the overall performance of the Rapoo V530 mechanical keyboard is still satisfactory. The exterior design is simple and stylish, and the two color schemes highlight individuality. The metal upper cover is matched with a sealed design, which has high structural strength and strong waterproof performance; the double-color injection keycap is adopted, which has uniform light transmission and clear characters; it is equipped with Rapoo's self-developed infrared silver switch, It feels crisp and solid, with a sense of paragraph and percussion. In addition, support for full-key no punch, six sets of multimedia shortcut keys, 12 ice-blue monochrome backlights, etc. also add a lot to the actual experience of this keyboard.

The only regret I have is that this keyboard is currently only available in a wired version, and I personally prefer that there are no extra wires on the desktop.
