Spring is here, and it's time for another season change. It happened to be fine on the weekend, so I thought about tidying up the room and doing a general cleaning.
When tidying up the room, I took out a keyboard.
It should have been left by my younger brother when he spent the summer vacation at my house last year. It has been a while. It looked dirty. I originally wanted to throw it away, but it was good after I tried it. I might as well clean it up and use it as a spare keyboard.
But it's really too dirty, it's been too long to simply wipe it with paper towels. So I want to dismantle it directly, put it in the dishwasher and wash it, it should be no problem.
To be honest, this is the first time for me to dismantle this thing, without any experience, I have been groping for a long time.
Pull out the simplest keycap first, and there are cat hairs everywhere on it.
That's right, it's this silly cat.
After removing the back cover, the whole back is also very dirty.
Then put all the shells and keycaps that were removed into the dishwasher.
The dishwasher in my home is a Siemens 235 bought in 2020. It can only be washed at high temperature. I saw that many value-added dishwashers on the site support normal temperature washing. I really want the function of washing at room temperature.
After washing, I turned on the dishwasher. I was really surprised. It felt like a new keyboard. So satisfied.
After washing, simply shake off the water and put it directly on the balcony to dry.
Then control the water on the keycap and let it dry
After washing and drying, start assembling.
Because the motherboard cannot be washed with water, you can only wipe it by yourself
after cleaning
Fix the motherboard first
Then install the shell in turn.
Finally put on the keycaps and it looks brand new.
Then install it on the computer to test, the function is normal, it is a perfect cleaning.
First disassembled and dishwasher cleaned the keyboard, the end result was perfect.
It can be regarded as getting a cleaning tip and saving a keyboard money.
