One of them is a photographer who takes pictures of the mermaids in our motorcycle friends group diving and everyone sliding their cars for free.

For this reason, he specially equipped a set of more than 30,000 Prodigal Eye consoles. The first time I went to his studio to see the old keyboard used. Because I often need his help to take pictures of some products, I decided to give him a matching Prodigal Eye keyboard, so that the repair of the mermaid will be more soulful. In terms of appearance, it is the classic black and red color scheme of ASUS ROG. You can see the whole picture of the keyboard from the packaging. The ASUS ROG Magician wireless keyboard has a relatively compact design, so its packaging is very small.

The prodigal eye is placed on the ESC key of the keyboard, but there is no light-transmitting effect design. This low-key treatment does not seem to be their style.

Since the 65% layout greatly reduces the size of the keyboard, many keys have added side engraving functions. The usual method is to combine the F keypad with the numeric keypad, and then use it through the FN combination key.

In addition, on the left side of the keyboard, you can not only see common shortcut combinations such as media control, volume adjustment, and presets, but also find special functions such as touch area settings and keyboard reset.

Through the FN combination keys on the right side of the keyboard, you can quickly complete operations such as adjusting the lighting mode, setting the brightness, locking function keys, and taking screenshots. The keyboard has built-in multiple sets of lighting effect schemes when it leaves the factory. You can switch directly on the keyboard without turning on the driver. You can also enter more personalized schemes through presets later, which is quite convenient to use.

The Smart Bar touch bar on the left side of the keyboard is one of the most distinctive parts of this keyboard, and it is a unique feature of the Wizard. In the default mode, we can easily adjust the volume by sliding the Smart Bar. Due to the configuration of the visual background light, the volume change can be seen intuitively during the operation, and the volume level is clear at a glance.

The matching keyboard shell has precise slots in the corresponding position of the Smart Bar, so the use of the touch bar does not need to be affected after adding the shell.

Magician is equipped with PBT light-transmitting keycaps. The characters on the keycaps are also more expensive closed characters. The font style is tough, comfortable and slightly matte. You don’t have to worry about the keycaps becoming oily after long-term use.

In terms of the switch body, I chose the NX Mocha brown switch for him, with a trigger pressure of 40 grams and a trigger key stroke of 2.0mm. It is quite comfortable to use, but the trigger force and sound will be stronger than the TTC gold powder switch.

The Magician uses a whole aluminum alloy panel, which can highlight a stronger texture after turning on the light, and the button sound is more crisp.

In terms of handling the large keys, this keyboard adopts a balance bar scheme, the keys feel full and consistent with the pressing feel of the small keys.

The space bar is also designed with a large balance bar. No matter how you hit it, you can't hear the steel wire sound. It can be seen that the tuning from the big factory is really good. Here I personally think that, in addition to the troublesome installation, the overall performance of the balance bar design will be better than most main shaft + satellite shaft solutions.
