The first attempt of a quasi-novice keyboard: K1-87 low-axis dual-mode keyboard made by Jingdong

I bought a K1 keyboard made by Beijing Tokyo. This is the first time I have come into contact with a mechanical keyboard for many years. Speaking of which, I am also a digital enthusiast, but I have never had much interest in mechanical keyboards. I feel that as long as the keyboard can type, it will be fine.

After starting to use the Apple system, I have been using the Apple keyboard for several years, either using the built-in keyboard of the MacBook, or using Apple's own Bluetooth keyboard. Many people say that Apple's keyboard is not good, but I always think that Apple's short-travel keyboard feels good, I am used to it, and the percussion feeling when writing is enough.

So when I bought a new keyboard this time, I specially chose the K1 short-travel keyboard made by Jingdong, with an 87-key layout, thin keycaps, brown switches, and white backlight. The surface of the keycap is smooth in workmanship, and the whole keyboard is well integrated, and it is also very stable on the table. There is a certain degree of toughness when the keyboard is struck, and the rebound feel of the keycap strike is relatively soft.

Because it is a short keystroke keyboard, typing is still very comfortable and effortless. The difference from the previous Apple keyboard is that the hand needs to be raised. The key layout is also very similar to Apple's, the only thing that needs to be adapted is the change of the position of the arrow keys. In addition, the 87-key one I bought is not as good as the 104-key one when I think about it now. It is more convenient to have a small keyboard.

The keyboard supports both Windows/Mac dual mode and wired and wireless dual connection, and the switching is also very convenient. In particular, different keycaps are provided for users to switch between the two modes. By default, the keycaps of the Apple system are installed, which is very convenient for me who uses a MacBook, and there is no need to replace them.

This K1 keyboard, like most other keyboards now, has light effects. In fact, I don't care about the light effect of the keyboard. I feel that it is easy to distract attention, and it is also a kind of light pollution, which is not helpful for work and daily use. After the K1 keyboard is powered on and turned on, it will automatically display the light effect. The flashing light wave effect on the keyboard is very good, no wonder everyone likes it so much. But turn it off when you really need to use it, it's really a bit of an eyesore.

All in all, this is a keyboard with a very good feel. Judging from my experience of using it during this period, I can't find any faults, probably because I have little experience.

In the end, I replaced it with a Warhammer keycap, and I still have Aunt Zhang’s “value” keycap on hand, but it’s a pity that it can’t be used on short switches.
