Let’s talk about Rapoo just launched the first full-size hot-swappable gaming keyboard—V700DIY. This is a full-size keyboard with Rapoo's self-developed KA-12 linear fast silver switch/spring white switch. From the DIY in the model name, it can be seen that the full-size 104 keys are all hot-swappable switches, which is convenient to meet customer requirements. Unpacking the V700DIY at first glance was a surprise. Pure white keycaps, metallic silver top cover, this kind of whiteness is very special in the pile of mainly black keyboards.
What's special is that, as a standard full-size keyboard with 104 keys, V700DIY adopts a "narrow bezel" design, and a special media key area is reserved above the numeric keypad. The volume control is one minus one plus one, we can see Rapoo's painstaking efforts in design - to seek the balance between compactness and convenience, and to carve out the beauty of square lines.
The unique media control area is the finishing touch on the shape. For the convenience of touch, the wedge-shaped area is raised as a whole, forming a step difference with the 104 key area. The integrally formed aluminum plate on the entire keyboard cover makes this step smooth and seamless, and it does not show the mountains and does not reveal the water, and the sense of delicacy is full.
The pure white PBT two-color injection-molded keycap has an online appearance. The surface of the integrally formed aluminum plate under the keycap is sandblasted, which always has the effect of starlight. It also shows a color change from silvery white to dark gray under different angles of light.
The edges of the aluminum plate are chamfered without cutting hands, and fit perfectly with the assembly of the bottom case. There is one thing to say, there are faint burrs on the edge of the bottom case, although it is extremely small and does not affect the feel, but if it can be trimmed before leaving the factory, it will be perfect.

I started with this model equipped with KA-12 linear fast silver switch, the transparent switch shell supports RGB lighting, and the axis is dark gray. KA-12 is a linear shaft developed by Leiber, which is divided into two types: fast silver shaft and elastic white shaft. The trigger weight of the spring white axis is lower and the formation is shorter. The feedback to the feel is "following the hand", and the rebound after pressing is close to the finger. The sound of the two is not loud, and the game and office work are not noisy.

V700DIY adopts a split key line design and uses a Type-C interface. The interface is located in the center of the top of the keyboard, and there is a small easter egg on the side of the side button, which seems to be a hole reserved for the wireless version on the mold. There are strips of silicone non-slip stickers at the four corners of the bottom of the keyboard, and there are silicone feet to support the keys.
