There are many design highlights, a new level of personalization for mass-produced keyboards, Dujia Hi Keys hands-on comments

The continuous price drop of mass-produced keyboards, coupled with more and more personalized styles, has made many inflated customized keyboards have nowhere to go. I believe that friends who are still choosing a new keyboard recently may find many excellent choices within the price watershed of 500 yuan.

Of course, there must be trade-offs in some aspects within the budget, which can be niche configurations, shafts, backlights, and even wireless dual-mode with built-in batteries. The Dujia family has come up with a very distinctive new member-Hi Keys dual-mode mechanical keyboard. Compared with Fusion, which was popular in the early years, it has the same effect, but this time the price is much more affordable, and it is likely to become the sales king in the follow-up brand.

Straight man Dujia played a retro style in Fusion, and finally used Hi Keys to show that he can also go trendy and young.

The 84 keys satisfy most of the wind vanes who do not want to start with the 87/104 traditional keyboard arrangement, so there is no need to worry about not being able to adapt to the arrangement. In addition to the lack of a small numeric keypad, the function keys are complete, and the font of the silver-white color keycaps is clear and intuitive.

The packaging has changed a lot this time, and many designs and details have shown a young and fashionable new face. Since it is a wireless dual-mode keyboard and does not support hot swapping, Hi Keys is only equipped with a charging cable as an accessory.

Whenever I change to a new keyboard, I need to get used to it more or less. As I mentioned earlier, there is no pressure to use this 84 configuration immediately. But for its unique "curved body", it needs to be reminded that the design of the whole machine can be said to be round and angular, and with the unique height of the floating keycap, it still needs some adaptation and transition period.

I personally recommend that when using Hi Keys, please directly use the height of the raised support feet to work, especially for office parties who use a lot of F area, it is especially recommended.

For the wireless small array keyboard, my requirement is to have as few openings as possible, and the sense of unity is more important than anything else. The front of Hi Keys uses silver + white as the main color as a whole, and it is the first time to see the square frame design in the keyboard. The keycap characters are clearly embellished with Fn orange, which makes the all-white design stand out as well.

The entire large-area foot pad above the bottom is made of very strong materials, which also meets the needs of wireless use anywhere. Not only that, Dujia has the obsession with the storage compartment of the 2.4G receiver. Even on the keyboard of Hi Keys, which focuses on Bluetooth mode, it has not given up the consideration of 2.4G users.

The design surprises of Hi Keys are far from over. I once thought the indium-plated ball was just a shape design, but I didn’t expect it to be a toggle switch. The same indium-plating process is applied to the top knob and lever switch. This series of small designs and materials are very suitable for my concept of integrated design, and also meet the original intention of this young and energetic design.

The Hi Keys keycaps are of the height of the private model, the large key satellite axis, and the slightly raised pressing area have a completely different typing experience from the traditional keyboard. Considering the highly personalized keycaps, the ABS material + UV font technology is expected to maintain a good balance between cost and feel. As for the durability, it is definitely not as good as PBT. If you need to replace the keycap in the future, you need to consider the direction of short shaft, suspension, and flattening.

In terms of the shaft body, Hi Keys provides two options: Kaihua tea shaft (paragraph) and Kaihua mute red (linear). This has been seen in the follow-up white version of K610w. This Kaihua Turbo customized shaft body, the wall shaft design, stability and smoothness have a good guarantee. In terms of parameters, the 80 million lifespan of the tea shaft and the 50 million lifespan of the mute red are used and can be passed down to the family, so the durability of the non-hot-swappable design does not need to be too entangled.

Faithful to design and unique personality, more and more keyboards are now avoiding the RGB route. Compared with e-sports, there should be RGB, and the daily office keyboard that pursues focus and battery life seems to be enough for monochrome. Hi Keys gives a good white atmosphere lighting effect, supports light and dark, fast and slow, and up to eight light effect adjustments. There is no glare when using it, and the white overflow light may be the best outbound light effect.

Compared with the concept of giving everything, Hi Keys canceled the wired mode very thoughtfully, and the three-channel wireless (2.4G+Bluetooth 1+Bluetooth 2) has the fastest switching knob and lever mode currently. Perhaps mobile office itself is the original design intention of Hi Keys, not to mention mobile devices, even desktop computers are now turning to wireless office. As for which one is better or worse, I can't judge. As far as my current needs are concerned, it seems that the wired mode is not so necessary.

If the cable is "castrated", then the wireless function is bound to get extra points. This time, Dujia has achieved nearly a year of battery life (Bluetooth + light off mode) in Hi Keys, which can be said to directly fill up the low power consumption. Even if the lighting effect is full, the keyboard still supports (5V2A) three-hour full charging, which is really a master of battery life.

It has to be said that Hi Keys, a new member of Durga this time, has made a new understanding of the hexagon, which has seen too many differences in the homogenization of mass-produced keyboards today. The simple but not simple 84 keys can make it easy for office novices to get started, and it can also allow experienced peripherals to experience a different tapping feel. On the premise of high performance, low latency, and stable output, the dedication to white light has also created a new understanding of users' self-needs.
