TTC rabbit axis OG version, Venus axis, Neptune axis early adopters: silent long track

Recently, TTC released three new switches, rabbit switch OG version, Venus switch, Neptune switch. The Rabbit axis corresponds to the zodiac sign of the Year of the Rabbit this year. The Venus axis and Neptune axis were only released at the end of last year. These types of axes are quite rare, but I was lucky enough to get a few and share them with you.

The Year of the Rabbit OG version is packaged in a gift box, and the magenta color brings out the joy of the festival. The product picture of the rabbit shaft is printed on the front of the package, and a rabbit is running towards the shaft on the right. "Quiet as a virgin and moving as a rabbit", this is the official design concept.

Take out the package by side extraction, there is a plastic box inside, and there is a white rabbit element on the side. There are a total of 10 switches in the package, a test switch, and a keycap with a rabbit pattern.

Like last year's Tiger Switch OG version, each Rabbit Switch OG version has a separate number, which shows its uniqueness and dignity.

The shaft body adopts a special magenta airtight cover, and the light hole is not visible. Transparent cross shaft core, dust-proof design with double side walls on the left and right sides of the shaft core. On the other side of the number is the TTC logo.

The snow-white rabbit pattern adopts the mold manufacturing and injection molding process of double-material and multi-color cross conversion. In the only 4.5x4.8mm area, it is finely carved with a thin line of only 0.3mm and formed in one piece. It needs to be both independent and crossed, and it also needs to meet different choices of materials and colors. The failure rate is extremely high, and the development is extremely difficult.

The shaft seat is transparent, and with the transparent shaft core, the backlight can go from the bottom to the top. The shaft body adopts a five-legged shaft, and the metal shaft feet use glue to prevent penetration. It can be seen from the shaft feet that they are silver-plated.

The test shaft is the same as last year’s Tiger Axis OG version, the difference is that the back of this year’s test shaft is printed with “白麻”.

The shaft tester is compatible with the five-legged shaft body, supports hot swapping, can be replaced by itself, and has a backlight when triggered.

These are the two Venus switches and Neptune switches newly released by TTC. The ones I got are trial packs, each with 4 switches and a keycap for the Year of the Rabbit. The yellow ones are the axes of Venus, and the blue ones are the axes of Neptune.

The Venus axis adopts a yellow upper cover. The shape of the cover is different from the previous axis body. It is a circular design. The lower half is cut off by the light hole, and the light hole uses a condenser lens module. Inside the box inside the top cover is a transparent cross shaft core, this time there are no double side walls on the left and right sides of the shaft core. The official endowed this shape with the beauty of a square circle.

The shaft seat of the Venus switch is transparent, and with the transparent core, the backlight can be directed from the bottom to the top. This design is the same as that of the Rabbit Switch OG version, not to mention that the Venus switch also has a condenser lens, which has a better light transmission effect. The shaft body adopts a five-legged shaft, and the metal shaft feet do not have additional anti-penetration process of adding glue.

The exterior structure of the Neptune axis is similar to that of the Venus axis except that the upper cover is blue.

Since there are only a few switches in my hands this time, there are only 10 rabbit switches OG, 4 Venus switches and Neptune switches each, and each rabbit switch OG version has a number, so I am reluctant to disassemble it. Try the shaft tester to experience the feel.

The interior of the Rabbit Axis OG version is a Lego-style structure, which is composed of buttons, silencer keys, split upper covers, springs, terminals, pc bases, pa guide columns, and bottom silencer parts.

It is a linear shaft with a straight up and down feel. Its trigger pressure is 42gf, which is a little lighter than the 45gf of the red switch, and heavier than the 37gf of the gold powder switch. Its conduction stroke is 1.2mm, the total stroke is 3.8mm, and the trigger is faster. In addition, I think the most important thing about the shaft body is that it is very quiet, just like the concept of "quiet as a virgin and moving as a rabbit" outside the package, which combines the quick trigger , Mute features.

Both the Venus axis and the Neptune axis are innovative high-speed rail structures. The interior is an integrated long track shaft cover, and the track is inserted directly into the bottom of the axis from top to bottom in one go. The shaft core slider penetrates to the shaft upper cover, and always slides in the long track of the shaft cover. The typical concave-convex binary motion structure is stable and reliable. The long track is seamlessly connected throughout the whole process, without gaps, without any abruptness, micro-steps and jamming. With high-precision molds, precise fit, the pressing feel is stable and consistent, and it is always smooth and smooth (from the official).

The sliders on both sides of the shaft core are extended from 5.2mm of the traditional mechanical shaft to 6.0mm, and the shaft core sliders run through to the top of the shaft cover

Venus axis and Neptune axis are composed of button, upper cover, spring, shrapnel, spotlight module and base.

Both Venus and Neptune axes are linear axes with slightly different parameters. The conduction stroke of the Venus switch is 1.8mm, the total stroke is 3.8mm, and the trigger pressure is 45gf, which is close to the flame red switch in all aspects. The conduction stroke and the total stroke are each 0.2mm less, and the pressure is the same.

The conduction stroke of the Neptune shaft is 2.0mm, the total stroke is 3.8mm, and the trigger pressure is 41gf. The difference between it and the Venus shaft is too small. I tried only a few shafts and I couldn’t tell the difference. However, the stability and smoothness of the shaft core have maintained the consistent characteristics of TTC.
