If it is a Ball&Track mouse, try cleaning the tracks. Otherwise, it sounds busted

Does anybody know how to clean a computer mouse?
Unscrew the bottom to release the ball. scrape off the dirt on the rollers inside the mouse (there should be two big rollers and a small one on a spring)

How is the Trackball in a Mechanical Computer Mouse Manufactured ??
old trackballs have wheels against the trackball that turn as you turn the trackball sensing movement (exactly the same as a ball mouse) new trackballs replace the wheel sensors with an optical sensor, or lazer sensor, and works exactly the same way as optical mice)

Computer mouse freezes and but the computer isnt frozen, help?
Yes. Unfortunately, I am sorry to tell you that your mouse has would ied'. If its the ones with the track balls then it is much more easier to get spoiled. If it is a optical mouse, some malfunction in the circuit or the cable connecting it to the PS/2 port in your computer. My suggestion would be to switch off the computer, take out the cable and connect it back again and switch the computer on. If that does not work, then you will have to get a new mouse, my friend. All the best.

what are three ways that a computer communicates with a computer mouse?
the closest thing you can do is get an Extended ATX motherboard it can fit either 2 or 4 cpus pending on what model and company no, like everyone else answered, you cannot connect 2 motherboards. and if there was, i would probably say that it just works like a dual core cpu, it just does more things at the same time, no speed increase, and the videocards may improve quality because each has to do half the work it orginally had to

My computer mouse is properly working with windows 98.But in linux platform it is not working.?
Just a driver. Make/model of mouse and install a driver for it. Some mouse drivers used to default to the serial port. You may need to update to one that reads other ports for the mouse. Mine is in a ps2 port (next to keyboard) and mandrake recognized it immediately. Some usb port mice might have probs, so an updated driver should be all that's wrong

can you fix a computer mouse?
Whether or not you can fix it depends on your personal repair skills. If its a ball mouse, then it is probably only a matter of cleaning the gunk out of the ball. If it's an optical mouse, then try cleaning the laser lens.

Is my computer mouse busted?
Yep...the lazer tracker on the mouse is more than likely shot... I've had the same thing happen to me as well. After I got a new MX518 gaming mouse it's as smooth as silk now...worth it to get a good mouse for gaming. I hated when that happened to me when online gaming...others would see me spinning or staring at the sky or ground and take me out with a few headshots! I really enjoyed taking the mouse outside and taking a hammer to it! LOL
