You can remove all the keys (Be shure to put them back on the correct place again! use a marker or something to mark the space underneath the keys) and clean the keyboard and the underside of the keys. To remove them, it usually enought to use a knife or a small screwdriver and pry them off CAREFULLY! (you are warned. Do not blame me if you break something) To put them back, just align them properly and press them firmly onto the keyboard.

I am not entirely sure if the keyboard will conform to the video game's controls or not. I've never tried it. But I do know that the PS3 interface and browser etc. work with any USB keyboard. I would suggest you use a wireless keyboard unless you like sitting really close to your TV.

This is a pain, but it works. Pop out all of the keys.just take like uhmm, a nail clipper thing with the cleaner.or something thin, and stick it under and pop them out. Then soak those in a thing of like soapy water or water and windex. Then take a Q tip or whatever and clean inside the keyboard.not having the keys there makes it much easier. Dry and scrub off the keys and pop them back on. It helps to have an extra keyboard around the match the keys up. Good luck.

i recently had that problem............in case you seem below keyboard there must be some screws that you will be able to undo to seperate the best from the again of the keyboard. gently sparkling the factors with cotton buds and cleansing wipes and then re-connect. this all depends on whether the problem is caused by water damage to the keyboard, or to the motherboard. Taking the key off that does not work is not going to do anything, because the key you touch, is only the key cap. Underneath that cap is a hinge, and a rubber plunger. That rubber plunger is what presses the two layers of metalized plastic together to form the connection. If the key just no longer worked, then you could safely say it was only the keyboard, and replacing the keyboard would be fine. This means there is either a short in the keyboard (water and residue making other contacts between the layers of plastic within) or there is a short on the motherboard (same deal, since water conducts electricity). You do not have the ability to do that. end of line

how do you clean a keyboard on a laptop?
Firstly about your use of key U. it seems the rubber under it has lost its flexibility. all that is needed is to remove the black key and change the rubber. to clean you need to unplug the computer. switch it off. if you have a small vacume cleaner, use it to pull out the dust, take lint free cloth ( as used for spectacles) use some glass cleaning solution. slightly wet the the cloth with the solution and wipe the keyboard clean. for more thorough cleaning you can use ear buds slighltly wet with the cleaning solution., to clean between the keys. this shoiuld be enough to keep your key board in good performance.

Can I use a non-Apple keyboard with OS X?
If the keyboard is USB, it should be fine. That USB thing is important though - there are no PS2 ports on a Mac. I was able to use my cymotion keyboard with no hassle, but as Kyle pointed out, I needed to remap one or two keys.
