hooking up my keyboard to garage band?
it either has a MIDI interface (probably) and you will need to set up a channel(s) on the keyboard, or multiple channels (there are 16), or simply a 1/4" TRS jack (or 2x1/4" TS jacks). then you need a midi interface (all links) of some sort or an instrument preamp/interface (last 2 links). there is MIDI in, out, and maybe thru, depending on the hardware. thru is the weird one and can foul you up if you do not know what you are doing it's like out with copy and it's for daisy-chaining instruments (just do not loop them).

Is it possible to use a private laptop's keyboard for an intranet desktop computer?
You could SSH in, but I assume that's not what you want. I would recommend checking out Synergy - it's a keyboard and mouse sharing software which works on most *nix boxes, Windows and MacIf you would prefer a free version they offer, it's here, but bear in mind it's unsupported. You would need to set the machine you want to use the keyboard of as the server, and the centos box as the client.

will my monitor, keyboard, and mouse be compatible?
Depends on the age of the computer. About three years ago most computers when from using a round connector called PS2 for the keyboard and mouse to flat USB connectors. You will need to check the new computer to see if it has the correct connectors for your keyboard and mouse. The monitor should work. However, before you replace the PC, here is a simply troubleshooting step you can try. Boot the computer into Safe Mode by turning it on and pressing the F8 key until you get the screen with the Safe Mode option. Hopefully you will be able to get into Safe Mode and use the Restore Point from there.

Keyboard key stuck or not being recognized; how to fix
There are two scenarios which you will encounter:The first case is potentially salvageable through the use of software to remap a key, or just changing your behavior when possible (i.e. use right Cmd instead of left Cmd). The second case, where the key is acting like it's pressed, the keyboard will likely have to be replaced because there is a physical connection being made and it's being sent to the logic board to be interpreted. If a key is not responding it means that the electrical connection mapping the key is blocked. Remapping keys can be done via 3rd party tools such as Karabiner or Karabiner Elements (Sierra and up). However, there's only so much remapping you can do and this is not practical in the pre-boot stage (i.e. Shift keys or Option keys do not work). You can remap once macOS has loaded, but not before. With this scenario, you may be able to get around the unresponsive keys, but eventually you will have to replace it. The keyboard needs to be replaced.
There is a contaminant that is shorting electrical connections. When you press a key, you are intentionally creating this short, but a liquid like water or soda (which can conduct electrical current) can bridge the connections closing the loop. In these cases, they keyboard needs to be removed and cleaned with an electrical solvent. Given the amount a labor to do this (there are a TON of screws - about 60 in total), it's much more cost effective just to replace they keyboard with a new one. This applies to the 2016 through 2018 MacBook Pros and covers the gen 1, 2 and 3 keyboards.
The butterfly keyboard is a mechanical design change from the traditional keyboard mechanism. The underlying electronic circuitry remains the same. The "shallower" profile allows for less space requirements resulting in a thinner profile for the laptop. However, a thinner profile means tighter operating tolerances. Contaminants and regular wear are now much more likely to contribute to premature failure resulting in either stuck or non-responsive keys.
Apple will traditionally replace your top case assembly. This is the aluminum housing that holds all the internals. Note: For the Early 2015 through 2017 MacBook and 2016 through 2017 MacBook Pros, Apple has acknowledged the issue and is replacing the top case assembly through a Service Program. However, they are not replacing the gen 1 or gen 2 keyboards with the new gen 3 design. Basically, they will replace it with the same (flawed) model. (IMO this puts owning an Apple MacBook/Pro on par with owning a Jaguar). To replace this, you will have to remove the battery, fans, speakers, and logic board to swap the internals to the new assembly.
If you are going to go this far, just replace the keyboard and save yourself the money. Replacement MacBook Pro keyboards are relatively inexpensive (13" MacBook Pro Keyboard and 15" MacBook Pro Keyboard) versus a top case assembly - $25-$30 versus $250-$400. iFixit. com has excellent guides to walk you through, but if you are unsure of your tech skills it's best to get a pro to do the job. To understand all of this better, I "dissected" a (dead) MacBook Pro keyboard to better show how all of this comes togetherThe keyboard is made up of multiple layers:Looking at the back of the keyboard (a dead donor from a 2009 MacBook Pro that had to be cut out due to a stripped screw) there is a black protective cover. The only electrical contacts that can be seen is for the backlight and the keyboard connector interfaceRemoving the back cover, we can get a better look at the backplate. This piece provides the stability and structure for the keyboard.
Looking at the front of the keyboard with the keys removed, we can see through the plastic membrane layers all the way to the back plate (this portion is where the stripped screw was that had to be cut out)Taking an even closer look at the key, we can see how the mechanism attaches physically to the back plate to keep it in place. The rubber cup is what provides the "spring" action to return the key to its unpressed position. Peeling back the layers we can see how it all comes together. The plastic membrane with the rubber cups on top of the plastic membrane with the electrical traces on top of the metal back plate. Cutting out a section of the trace membrane we can see how the electrical connections are made.
Looking closely, you can see that each key has a vertical connection with the key above/below it and a horizontal connection between the keys to the right/left. A keyboard works by completing the circuit between two circuits in a "grid" pattern. This is how we can get 100 keys with only 29 circuits. For example, to get the letter "P" using the keyboard diagram below, it would create a closed circuit between Pin 1 ("INT 5") and Pin 8 ("1Y1").Key(s) are stuck. The circuit path is shorted. Key(s) not responding. The circuit path is broken. When you press a key and nothing happens, no signal is being sent for the keyboard to recognize a key press.
This could be due to a short, bad contacts, a physically broken path, etc.A note on intermittent problems. An intermittent electronic failure is a subset of the above conditions. Dry solder joints1, decayed glue2, and even bad/failed solid state components (i. e. resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc. )3; any/all of these can play a role in a circuit path failure.1 Dry joints are the main form of problem solder joint. These solder joints may be completely open circuit, or they may be intermittent, high resistance or noisy. It is therefore essential that no dry solder joints are present in any electronics equipment.
Source: Electronic Notes - Solder Joints2 An electrically conductive adhesive is a glue that is primarily used for electronics. The electric conductivity is caused by a component that makes ca. 80% of the total mass of an electrically conductive adhesive. Beware of Decayed Glue under IC3 What causes this resistor to fail - open circuit and no visible damage?.
The keyboard has always been an essential device for using a computer.
I had no idea about this peripheral before, and the keyboards I used were basically membrane keyboards, so I didn't know much about mechanical keyboards.
Until later, there were more occasions for typing, and there were certain requirements for the feel and speed of typing, and I gradually began to understand the knowledge of mechanical keyboards.
So I chose to customize my own keyboard.
The kit to choose first is: Bald brother 940v3
Bald brother 940v3
This kit is a 98 configuration. I sometimes have a lot of digital input. It is more convenient to have a numeric keypad area. The appearance is transparent and matte black, which feels a bit cheap, but the upper cover can be replaced; Install the battery, drive... everything you need.
The built-in satellite axis is also not bad.
I bought the kit last year. Since I wrote this article a bit late, it should be out of production and there is no brand new one. Now the new generation is 940v5.
Last year's cost performance was directly full. , but this year's mass-produced three-mode 98 has a lot more choices, this kit is no longer the ideal choice.
The axis I chose is: milk shell G yellow pro axis
One hundred milk shell G yellow pro shaft
The linear axis feels good at the price of one yuan, and the pressure in grams is still a bit high. It is not suitable for friends with muscle weakness, but it is just right for me, with fast rebound and good sound.
The keycaps I chose are: rk98 disassembly keycap
rk98 disassembly keycap
This is the oem keycap I received at the seafood market for 50 yuan. There is nothing to say about this, mainly cheap. (The rk98 finished keyboard was also in my candidate range, but I heard that the workmanship is not very good, the shaft body is too wobbly, and the rgb brightness is too low...)
Assembled finished product picture:
finished rgb light effect
I've had it for nearly half a year, and I have to admit; a bigger battery is better. The battery life of 8000 mAh is really top-notch, and the number of charging times can be counted on the fingers.
Both the feel and the sound have been adjusted to my favorite state, and typing is faster and more powerful.
The fun of assembling a keyboard of your own and installing the axes one by one, these experiences are still good.
The next step is to design a set of keycaps myself.

If you don’t want to read long popular science and want to buy a suitable keyboard directly, you can directly scroll down to the keyboard recommendation below, or read my new article on double eleven keyboard recommendation, which contains a more comprehensive keyboard evaluation:
Before understanding the axis body, we need to know that the axis body of the mechanical keyboard can be divided into two categories: paragraph axis and linear axis according to the feel.
The paragraph axis will have an obvious click sound when pressed, and the hand feel is manifested as a clear paragraph feeling, a bit like the feeling of pressing the back end of a ballpoint pen when I was a child; the linear axis is just a line, straight up and down, which is not so obvious compared to the paragraph axis. The paragraph feels, and the sound has no crisp click.
At present, there are Cherry shafts and domestic Yu three recommended shafts on the market: TTC, Kaihua, and Jiadalong. The following is my personal subjective ranking of different types of shafts:
Class green axis: Kaihua Box white = TTC brother axis > Jiadalong G green > cherry green
The green switch is the most representative mechanical keyboard switch, and it is also the noisiest switch. It will have a strong sense of paragraph when it is tapped, and it will be accompanied by the sound of "popping". Students who like to tap the rhythm can consider the green switch. Many people's first mechanical keyboard may be to experience other people's green switches, and they like the sense of tapping, but it is not recommended to use it in a dormitory or a quiet office, as it is easy to be beaten.
Tea category: cherry tea > Jiadalong G tea > Kaihua Box tea > TTC gold tea
It is called universal axis or universal axis.
It belongs to the paragraph switch, but the paragraph feeling is very weak, and the feel is moderate between the green switch and the red switch. It is less pressure to press than the green switch, and it is not as soft as the red switch, so it is suitable for playing games and office work. If The first time you buy a mechanical keyboard, you can consider the tea switch. It is a more comfortable experience for long-term use. It is suitable for users who want to buy a mechanical keyboard to experience the sense of paragraph but do not want to be particularly noisy.
Black axis: TTC Red pupil ACE > Jiadalong G yellow > Cherry's HG > Black Kaihua Box black > cherry black
The black-like switch is the most strenuous to press among all the switches. It is very stressful to use the finger for a long time, but the trigger speed is fast so it is more suitable for playing games. It is not recommended for office scenes where typing for a long time. Black switches are not recommended for beginners, and not everyone who plays games is suitable for playing games with black switches. Black switches are not a panacea. If you often play competitive games and usually play games and tap the keyboard very hard Consider the black shaft.
In recent years, TTC’s red pupil butt switches have been made similar to black switches. Personally, I feel that they are heavy-pressure gold powder, and Jiadalong G yellow is also a high-pressure linear switch. These two switches are very good and suitable for use as large The shaft body of the key position is not easy to accidentally touch the large key position in daily use.
Red axis: TTC gold powder > Kaihua Box red > cherry mute red > Jiadalong G red > cherry red
so-called hypothermia axis
There is no sense of paragraph when tapping, straight up and down, the tapping pressure is much smaller than that of the black switch, and the fingers will not be tired after long-term use, it is relatively easy, and it can take into account the game and office scenes well. The most suitable shaft body for female users.
Silver axis: TTC Quicksilver > Jiadalong G Silver > Ashwood V3 > Cherry Silver
Cherry silver is a new switch body released by Cherry 16 years later. The trigger speed is as fast as the black switch, and the pressing pressure is lighter than the red switch, which meets the needs of users who are fast and light.
What kind of experience is it to use the silver switch at the beginning, that is, the button is triggered by touching it casually, and it is triggered by touching it like a superficial touch. It takes a while to get used to the use of silver switches to reduce false touches at the beginning, and there is a certain learning and use cost. After getting used to it, it will be handy without much effort. If you can adapt to the silver switch, it is a good choice for game use and frequent typing.
TTC’s quicksilver triggers faster than cherry silver, and the adjustment of the shaft structure reduces the possibility of false touches. However, typing for a long time will feel a little harder and your hands will get tired, so it is more suitable for playing games.
If you want to know the percussion sound of common shafts on the market, you can watch my video:
Finally, here is a brief summary and recommendation for shaft selection:
Playing the game: The recommended order for selecting the axis is silver axis>brown axis>red axis>green axis.
For office use: The recommended order for selecting the shaft is red shaft>brown shaft>silver shaft>green shaft>black shaft.
I suggest buying a set of shaft testers, try the feel and listen to the sound before entering the pit, and you will probably know which shaft body is suitable for you.
If you still don’t know how to choose the shaft after reading the above, you can ask me your needs in the comment area
After talking about the knowledge of the shaft body, we often find a problem during use: Why do some large keys with the same shaft body feel different?
Because large keys like space, carriage return, and shift have a main shaft in the center, and the two sides are fixed to ensure that each position of the large key can ensure that the entire large key can be the same as the top and bottom, but different connection methods will be different. feel.
At present, there are two structures of large keys on the market: balance bar and satellite shaft.
a.Balance bar
The balance bar is a metal wire connected to both ends of the main shaft of the large key to ensure the balance of the large key. For the paragraph shaft, the rebound can be clearly felt, but some workmanship is not fine and it is easy to hear the spring sound.
At present, among the mid-to-high-end brands, only the aluminum factory is still using the balance bar as a large key, and the factory-tuned feel is very good.
b. Satellite axis
In recent years, mid-to-high-end keyboards and customizations will use satellite switches as the big key solution, that is, there are two dummy switches on each side of the main shaft, and the three axes are kept in balance to achieve the same top and bottom.
The cost of the satellite shaft is more expensive than the balance bar. Under the same conditions, the satellite shaft feels more fleshy, and the rebound is not as crisp as the balance bar, but it is more durable than the balance bar.
However, the satellite axis with low precision does not feel good and is easy to seesaw. If the satellite axis is not adjusted at the factory, the feel of the satellite axis may not be better than that of the balance bar. At present, the better adjustment of the satellite axis in the mid-to-high-end market is Dujia and Fuling.
Using the satellite shaft as the big key, the most important factor is convenience. One is the convenience of the manufacturer, which can be easily lubricated after mass production.
Secondly, for novices, it is more convenient to disassemble the satellite shaft and keycap than the balance bar.
Generally speaking, there is no clear distinction between the balance bar and the satellite shaft. Even if the same structure is tuned by different manufacturers, the feel is different. This choice varies from person to person. Most of the current market is satellite shaft solutions. I think If you choose a balance bar, you can only choose an aluminum factory at present.
The material of the keycap
Keycap materials are mainly divided into ABS, PBT, and POM. The two materials commonly used in the market are ABS and PBT.
ABS: A relatively common engineering plastic, the cost is low, easy to shape, and the material is shiny, so many office accessories are made of ABS, but it is easy to oil up after long-term use.
PBT: The material is rougher and harder than ABS, and it is resistant to high temperature. It is not easy to oil up after long-term use, and it feels rougher to the touch, so it often feels like a frosted feeling.
POM: The surface is shiny, smooth to the touch, harder and more wear-resistant than PBT material, but due to the high cost of materials, there are fewer manufacturers using this material
Keycap engraving
Users with different habits will choose different keycap engraving positions. The following is a brief introduction of the differences in each method.
Positive engraving: the front of the character engraved keycap, that is, the side that the finger touches when typing, most keyboards on the market use positive engraving;
Side engraving: The characters are engraved on the side of the keycap facing the person. Because some users are afraid that the engraving will wear off the characters after long-term use and affect the appearance of the keyboard, they will choose the side engraving; some users look at the keycap from the front when typing Instead of looking at the keycap from above, you will also choose to engrave it on the side
No engraving: There are no engraved characters on the keycaps, and typing depends on the memory of the keyboard characters, which will be cooler
Simultaneous engraving: Simultaneous engraving is also called Yin engraving. Those who have played with rubber stamps should know Yin engraving and Yang engraving, Yin Yang and Yin Yang. The front is engraved at the same time.
Character processing technology of keycap
The character processing technology of the keycap affects the appearance of the keyboard, the service life of the keycap characters, etc. Currently, the following three methods are most common on the market.
Two-color molding: two-color refers to the use of two different colors of plastic, one side of the plastic is the keycap and the other is the character, and then the two materials are wrapped and combined together to make the keycap so that the characters are very wearable and the keycap The service life is very long.
Dye-sublimation: Different from ordinary ink printing, dye-sublimation uses solid resin ink. After printing, the surface of the keycap is very firm and wear-resistant. In life, we see some DIY photos of ceramic cups using the dye-sublimation process. Sublimation keycaps are divided into five-sided thermal sublimation and single-sided thermal sublimation. Five-sided means that the front of the keycap and the four sides of the top, bottom, left, and right are all made of thermal sublimation technology. Sublimation process.
Hollow printing: Also known as laser engraving, it is generally used in backlit keyboards, which is to make keycaps with transparent or translucent materials, so that when the keyboard lights are on, the corresponding light can be emitted through the keycaps, and the lights can be changed. Colored keyboards will look good with this kind of hollowed-out keycaps, but the disadvantage is that the characters are easy to wear off and affect the appearance.
If the daily use is frequent, you can choose two-character molding or sublimation keycaps. If you play RGB, you can consider hollow printing, but the durability is poor.
keycap height
Original factory height: The original factory is the original cherry factory, which means it is the same height as the cherry keycap.
OEM height: OEM is the abbreviation of Original Equipment Manufacturer, which means foundry, and generally refers to the keycap of the foundry that is one layer higher than the original factory.
Short switch: The short switch is a special kind. The switch body used is shorter than the normal one, and the keycap is also lower than the original height. It is suitable for users who are used to the height of the membrane keyboard but want to experience the feel of the mechanical keyboard. JD.com Jingzao K3 is short shaft.
keyboard arrangement:
Common keyboard layouts are 100%, 80% and 60% layout, 100% is all keys, 104/108 keys, 80% layout is 87/84 keys, 60% is 61/64/68 keys, and the rest Some special arrangements will not be introduced this time
100% configuration——104/108 key position: the keyboard used in daily computer room is this kind of 104 key, some keyboards will have 4 more multimedia function keys in the upper right corner, which is 108 key, no special needs The table is big enough to choose without thinking 100% collocation.
80% arrangement——87/84 key positions: 104 keys remove the number pad on the right to be 87 keys, and remove three infrequently used function keys to form 84 key positions. This configuration is mainly used by gamers. There is no small keyboard to make the keyboard and mouse closer. It is also suitable for students who are nervous on the desktop.
60% configuration——61/64/68 key positions: This kind of keyboard is very small and suitable for students who need to carry keyboards often in mobile office. I found that several programmers of our company also use this kind of configuration keyboard, it should be them Typing the code does not require the function keys in the upper F area and the number keys on the right.
Wired connection: There is a long data cable, the desktop will be messy, but the data connection is generally not delayed, usually a usb interface, the old one is a 5-pin PS/2 port, but now it is relatively rare.
Bluetooth: The Bluetooth connection is convenient to carry, but it consumes more power to maintain the use of the rechargeable battery, and the keyboard that supports Bluetooth is generally more expensive, the stability is not as good as the wired connection, and sometimes there will be a certain delay in playing games. However, if you have multiple devices and need to use a mechanical keyboard, then a Bluetooth keyboard is very convenient. Now the wireless Bluetooth keyboards on the market basically support a maximum of 3 devices, and you can quickly switch between 3 devices.
Wireless 2.4G: For wireless 2.4G connection, a usb receiver needs to be plugged into the computer, and then the keyboard can search for this signal and connect to the computer. There is basically no delay and more power saving. The disadvantage is that if your laptop does not have a usb interface, such as my own mac, if you want to use a wireless 2.4G connection, you have to connect an external docking station, which is not as convenient as a bluetooth keyboard.
The backlight of the keyboard is reflected by the LED light on the switch body through the keycap. There are generally two types of backlight, RGB and single light.
RGB: RGB is the English abbreviation of the three primary colors of Red, Green, and Blue. All colors can be mixed through the three primary colors, so RGB backlight often refers to the keyboard backlight is colored. Generally, RGB keyboards will have a variety of light flashing effects , some RGB keyboards support custom lighting colors.
Single light: It supports backlight but has only one color of light, usually white light.
No light: does not support backlight, relatively monotonous.
As the demand for mechanical keyboards gradually increases, some new star brands are also emerging in the market. In order to compete with established manufacturers, they will consider some differentiated strategies and focus on improving in one aspect to attract players to buy. For the following aspects If necessary, you can refer to the following brands
Cost-effective brands: RK, Gauss, Royal Axe, Black Canyon
Traditional e-sports manufacturers: Corsair, Razer, Cherry, ROG, Logitech
Excellent appearance design: Amilo, AKKO, Aluminum Factory, Luofei
Mass production and customization manufacturers: Keychron, Game Power,
For users with different budgets, the following cost-effective brands are worth recommending, in no particular order
Getting started (below 500 yuan): ikbc, Gauss, Black Canyon, akko, RK, Royal Axe
Mid-to-high end: (500-1000 yuan): cherry, aluminum factory, Keychron, Fuling, Ducaro
Enthusiasts (more than 1,000 yuan): Amilor, ROG, Razer, Logitech, Corsair
Due to the limited space, I will not introduce too many brands here. If you are interested in the development of various keyboard brands, you can see the keyboard brand strategy I compiled:
This is the end of the popularization of knowledge about mechanical keyboards. The following is a recommendation link for mechanical keyboards with high cost performance~ For the sake of my hard work, if you find it useful, please give me a like to encourage you to like + bookmark + follow Three consecutive is even better, thank you very much! !
Before recommending keyboards, I would like to say that digital products do get what you pay for. The 100 and 500 yuan keyboards do have a big difference in workmanship and feel, but the 500 and 700 yuan keyboards are not so different. , The price difference is due to brand, material, after-sales and other reasons.
Keyboards of the same brand or model have the following rules:
The more keys, the more expensive, the price from low to high: 60% arrangement <80%配列<100%配列,以ikbc为例,C87要比C104便宜。
Three-mode hot-swapping is more expensive than single-mode. Take Fuling FL980 as an example, three-mode is more expensive than single-mode by about 200 yuan.
The price range of the mechanical keyboard I recommend is 100-1000 yuan, for work/game use, wireless/wired keyboard, 87-key/104-key, etc. All your needs can be met in the recommendation area, and the order of recommendation is based on demand and price factors Comprehensive consideration, has nothing to do with the quality of the brand.
Friendly reminder: The reference price I wrote is for reference only. It is generally the lowest price of this type of keyboard in the whole year. Of course, sometimes merchants may offer higher discounts during activities. The price of the product displayed on the card is not necessarily the actual order price. Go in and have a look to see the real order price! !
Recommended reason:
This year, the new king of scrolls within a hundred yuan has replaced the previous one hundred yuan king Ai Shitou.
There are two versions of RKR87. White has 18-key hot-swap and full-key hot-swap versions. Black is 5-key hot-swap and full-key hot-swap versions. If the demand is not particularly strong, 5-key/18-key Hot-swapping is enough, the keycap is ABS two-color injection molding, and there is an RGB light strip on the side, which can be used as a table product.
RK's self-developed K yellow, K silver, and K white are generally good, but I personally recommend buying K yellow, which is similar to G yellow with a 50g heavy-pressure linear shaft, and K white is a 37g light-pressure linear shaft similar to G white. Silver is a 45g early-trigger silver shaft.
The main problem with this keyboard is that it is easy to be out of stock, and there is basically no stock for sale. Secondly, there is no discount for this keyboard during Double Eleven. Now it seems that the price has increased to 129 yuan on Double Eleven.
Configuration:
Switch body: customized yellow switch made in Beijing Keycap: PBT two-color injection molded keycap Connection method: wired connection Arrangement and backlight: 87 key positions, white light Others: support key line separation, aluminum alloy positioning plate
Recommended reason:
No top cover design, anodized aluminum alloy positioning plate, rare PBT keycaps within 200 yuan, not easy to oil up after long-term use, and more durable.
The shaft is a yellow shaft developed by Jingzao, which comes with factory lubrication. Considering the relationship between Jingzao and Keychron, I blindly guess that this shaft should be an OEM shaft made by Jiadalong. Yes, the steel wire of the satellite shaft is still lubricated after removing the big key, which is rare at this price point. In the process of using it myself, there is no big problem with the other big keys except that the shift is a little bit fleshy.
Switch body: cherry red switch/brown switch/green switch/silver switch Keycap: PBT two-color injection molding OEM height Connection method: wired connection Arrangement and backlight: 87 keys, no backlight
Recommended reason:
It’s already 2022, and the cherry switches are getting worse day by day. ikbc is one of the few mechanical keyboard brands that still recommend cherry switches. Why? Because their keyboards are really cost-effective and durable, the one I use the most is a C87 cherry silver switch, and I think this keyboard is worth buying even if it is not the lowest price.
PBT keycaps + cherry shafts and a balanced feel at the price of around 300, it is a blind choice for beginners.
In addition to ikbc C87, you need a pure white or pure black cherry axis mechanical keyboard at the same price. You can also consider buying Gaussian GSC87C. These two brands are supermodel mechanical keyboards with a cost-effective price within 300 yuan. Let’s see which one is cheaper to buy. Whichever will do.
The K3 is recommended because some girls need a compact keyboard. The K3 is a low-axis keyboard suitable for the Mac system. The overall compactness is convenient for office parties to carry.
Whether you take an iPad or a MacBook when you go out, this keyboard is very convenient in terms of adaptability and portability.
Configuration:
Axis body: Kaihua BOX New Axis Sand Gold/Rose Red/Sky Blue Keycap: PBT Two-color Injection Molding Double Color Matching Connection Method: Wireless 2.4G and Wired Dual Mode Key Position and Arrangement: 87 Key Position White Single Light Playing games Others: Comes with a detachable palm rest, three-section outlet key line separation
Recommended reason:
This x3 comes with a detachable palm rest, which provides a support point for the wrist under the keyboard, so as to avoid wrist fatigue and soreness caused by using the keyboard for a long time, and it is more comfortable when typing on the keyboard.
The Kaihua Box new switch for the switch body can choose rose red, sky blue and quicksand gold, which are similar to the red switch, green switch and brown switch feel of the cherry switch body. If you like the feel of the red switch, it is recommended that you Choose rose red.
The cheap donkey A3 was the cheapest mass-produced mechanical keyboard with a gasket structure before the VGN V98 was launched.
The configuration can be said to be full, three-mode hot-swappable, all kinds of fillings are available, the knob on the upper right corner supports volume adjustment, press and hold FN to adjust the lighting effect in conjunction, the original version of the one-piece shaft pad for filling, long-term There is a problem of unloading hands and hands, and the manufacturer has optimized this problem in the future. I think it can be rushed. If you have the ability to do it, it is recommended to start with a kit, the price is just over 200 yuan.
However, the overall keycap style is relatively retro. If you don’t like this set of keycaps, you can buy the JZ750 made in Beijing. Except for the keycap color matching, other configurations are the same.
This year's new roll king, the price of 399 is the same model as the Heijue AK966 of 799. It uses the Kaihua Box Ice Cream Pro shaft body that costs 4 yuan each, and the three-mode gasket structure is hot-swappable
For personal use, I personally recommend Vaporwave Pro, which can be used for codewords and games. The sound and feel are a bit crisper. Although Ice Cream Pro is more expensive, the shaft made of POM has a particularly dull sound, and the pressure is higher than that of Vaporwave Pro. The bottom stroke is also longer and more tiring to use.
The first [Volume King] keyboard to appear this year is equipped with TTC gold powder and Kuaiyin V2 for the first time. The initial price is 499 yuan. It supports additional USB expansion, has a battery indicator, and the three-mode rocker switch on the right side is convenient for switching modes.
Secondly, this keyboard is also the first attempt to slot the PCB among mass-produced keyboards. Although it is a bit lonely, it will be softer than other mass-produced gaskets.
But we can also see the attempts of mass production manufacturers. In addition to gold powder and quick silver, the new TTC Flame Purple has recently been released. The one I tested is also the TTC Flame Purple switch. The design of the condenser lens makes the overall RGB effect of the keyboard very obvious.
This shaft body is between gold powder and quick silver. Compared with quick silver, the pressure is lighter, and the rebound is more comfortable. It is compatible with code words and games. Friends who like it can start with it.
Keyboard configuration:
Reference price: 468 yuan Switch body: Jiadalong G brown switch/red switch Keycap: ABS laser engraving Connection method: Bluetooth and wired dual-mode Key position and arrangement: 87 key positions RGB backlight
Recommended reason:
The best mechanical keyboards for Mac computers
Made in Beijing, also known as keychron, first became popular abroad, and gradually became popular in the domestic market at the beginning of 21. It supports all shortcut function keys in the F area of the Mac system, RGB backlight + metal shell, and the overall appearance is not bad~
The Jiadalong G-axis leaves the factory to run the shaft, and it feels very light~
Other than the ABS keycaps, there are no major downsides. I thought the ABS was oily, so I replaced it with a set of Amilor keycaps.
This year K8 Pro has also been upgraded to hot-swappable, friends who need hot-swappable can start:
Switch body: cherry brown switch/red switch/silver switch/silent red switch Keycap: PBT two-color injection molding Connection method: wired single mode Key position and arrangement: 104 key positions without backlight
Recommended reason:
The keyboard of Dujia K320W is equipped with cherry switches. I only recommend silver switches, because this keyboard is the best silver switch keyboard around 500 yuan. If you buy silver switches at this price, you can choose it and you are done.
The keyboard is painted with a matte coating, which is cool and has a great touch. The Duga key is a satellite axis tuned with a perfect feel.
Keyboard parameters:
Switch body: black and white switches, the Zong switch is an advanced step switch, and the white switch is a step switch like a green switch And configuration: 100-key RGB Others: built-in silicone sandwich pad, transparent shell
Recommended reason:
It supports full-key five-pin and three-pin hot-swapping, and there is also a silicone sandwich pad to reduce noise, which is very cost-effective
Transparent shell + FSA ball cap, the overall appearance is very high, and the printing on the key cap is also very clear
Although the overall quality of the shaft body is not as good as that of the domestic Yusanjia, it still feels good in the hand.
Raytheon's new three-mode aluminum tuo recently brought down the price of aluminum tuo. It has a compact 84-key arrangement and is equipped with a self-developed light-pressure water shaft. The overall quality is not bad. The sandwich cotton, the pad under the shaft, The bottom cotton is filled, and there is no problem with the feel.
The RGB light strip on the side is full of looks, which makes it hard not to love it. Friends who like aluminum but suffer from no wireless, are used to using a compact array for double 11. This Raytheon VIC84 can be used.
The R series released by Royal Ax at the end of this year is equipped with TTC gold powder V2, but the texture of the keyboard is generally complained by many people. The subsequent release of the Y series has been optimized accordingly, which is still worth buying.
There are three models of Y68/87/98. I have tested the Y68 and Y98 myself, and I recommend the Y98.
The overall appearance is good, the price is very high, the switch body can choose TTC quick silver/gold powder V2, Y98 uses a transparent dummy switch later to change the transparent keycap to look better
There is a wireless 2.4G receiver storage compartment, so you don’t have to worry about losing the receiver. There is a metal nameplate on the back and a metal fence on the side. The overall keyboard texture is good.
Keyboard parameters:
Arrangement: 78 keys Shaft body: Jiadalong G silver, Kaihua Box white/starry sky/Dailuo Connection method: wired, wireless bluetooth, wireless 2.4G three-mode Backlight: RGB Others: Transparent shell Gasket has Mac/win switch key
Recommended reason:
Transparent shell gasket structure, the overall appearance is very high
Support three-pin/five-pin hot-swappable, soundproof cotton pad under the shaft makes the sound more pure
There is a wireless 2.4G receiver storage compartment at the bottom, so don't worry about the receiver being lost
The upper right corner can easily switch Mac/win system
Keyboard configuration:
1. Three-mode hot-swappable mechanical keyboard, 98 keyboards powered by 2 AA dry batteries, all keys support RGB;
2. PBT two-color injection-molded keycaps, available in five colors: Liuli, Xiangxue, Baiyu, Baitao, and Ferrari;
3. The switch body can be selected from Jiadalong G yellow, silver, and white; TTC condenser gold powder, quick silver, and flame red. It is one of the few mass-produced keyboards equipped with flame red.
advantage:
98 configuration supports three-mode hot-swap, optional TTC and Jiadalong shaft, high cost performance
Full-key RGB and TTC gold powder with a condenser lens, the light is brighter, and there are 7 different lighting effects
Wood grain design, good texture
Powered by two AAA dry batteries, the longest battery life is 60 days. It is the mechanical keyboard with the longest battery life in mass production.
Mac/Win key support is not bad
There is a wireless 2.4g receiver storage compartment design to prevent loss
4 small caps and 1 long cap are sent out of the factory to support the conversion between 90-98 configurations
shortcoming:
No RGB effect in wireless mode
Although there is a ribbed design, it is still a little hollow sound
Dareu A98 is the first mass-produced mechanical keyboard that embraces the gasket structure in mass-produced keyboards. Now it seems that the price-performance ratio may not be high. The one I own is blue and white porcelain theme color, and the overall appearance and design are relatively good. online.
However, Dareu’s small problem is the ancestral big key tuning. If you don’t mind this, if you like the national style, I think you can start with A98 during Double Eleven. If there is no three-mode requirement, and you don’t like the power display in the upper right corner, A98 single Templates are more cost-effective and more suitable for you.
For the theme of underglaze blue, in addition to A98, Dareu’s A950 mouse and earphones are also available. Interested friends can buy a whole set.
The copper fixed + Gasket structure is suitable for codewords, and the pad under the full-key Poron shaft has a better noise reduction effect.
The Wap upgrade version is wired/wireless 2.4G dual-mode, and the positioning board has also been upgraded to a brass positioning board. The overall feel is very good, and the 65% arrangement + knob design is also relatively novel. The developed Mo axis, the one I own is a Mo powder axis, a good linear axis, and the quality of the axis is not bad.
Keyboard parameters:
Arrangement: 61 keys Axis body: Jiadalong black crystal green/tea/red/silver/yellow/silent red Connection method: wired, wireless Bluetooth, wireless 2.4G three-mode Backlight: white single light Others: wireless maximum battery life 240 days
Recommended reason:
The overall keyboard is small, light and easy to carry, and the gradient color has a high value
Equipped with Jiadalong black crystal axis, it feels good, and the Duga key is well tuned at the factory.
Long-lasting battery life in wireless mode, Bluetooth can be used for 240 days
With wireless 2.4G storage compartment design
It can be easily modified by Zeus driver
CMK98 is a good keyboard for beginners. The overall configuration has everything you need. The satellite axis adjustment of Fuling is the only one among mass-produced keyboards. Novices can use it immediately, but there is no wireless 2.4G receiver storage compartment. It is easy to lose by wireless.
The second is that the PBT content of the keycap of Fuling is not particularly high. I personally feel that it is not so dirty after long-term use.
If you like the Tiger Switch, you can go for the CMK99, and the new battery life is also relatively high, but I haven't tested it yet.
Switch body: TTC gold powder/quick silver/flame red/moon white Keycap: PBT two-color injection molding Connection mode: wireless 2.4G, Bluetooth and wired three-mode key position and arrangement: 84 key positions RGB backlight
Recommended reason:
The aluminum factory, the keyboard frame is made of aluminum, so it is called an aluminum factory, the L80 looks very good, and the style is like the red and white machine style I played when I was a child.
It is a high-end keyboard equipped with TTC switch body gold powder and quick silver. You can also choose cherry switch body, but I personally recommend TTC switch body for this key position. It is also a three-mode keyboard that supports hot swapping. Current main keyboard~
The OG80 has a transparent shell, and the RGB effect is better. There is no kickstand design at the slanted bottom of the F area. These two 80 series are both balance bars, specially adjusted by the aluminum factory, and they feel very good.
Minor disadvantages: Bluetooth only supports connecting to one device, the enter key is a bit meaty, and the space cavity sound is a bit loud, but it doesn't affect the feel.
parameter:
Switch body: Jiadalong G red/tea/green Keycap: PBT two-color injection molding Connection method: wired connection Key position and arrangement: 87 key positions + knob Others: Aluminum Tuo Tuo with Gasket structure
Recommended reason:
Aluminum Tuo Tuo has a very good appearance, and the design of 87 keys + knob is relatively novel
Gasket structure is more suitable for typing
The ball cap made of PBT material feels good, the full-key RGB effect supports multiple effect switching
The Mac/Win key support is very good, and it is perfectly adapted to the F-zone function keys of the Mac
Support QMK open source key change
Picture appreciation after changing the monster keycap
In addition to Q3, you can also consider the Q8 ergonomic keyboard, which is the Alice configuration
Switch body: ROG optical switch blue switch/red switch Keycap: PBT two-color injection molding Connection method: wired connection/wireless three-mode two Key position and arrangement: 108 keys Others: ROG logo light
Recommended reason:
Among the current ROG keyboard products, I personally think that the two most worthwhile keyboards are the Ranger RX series and the Mage series. I have an optical shaft version of the Ranger RX PBT keycaps. The PBT keycaps have a matte texture. It's great, plug in and use the overall lighting effect is very good.
The optical switch in my hand is a blue switch, which belongs to the paragraph switch with light pressure. The overall feeling of playing games is good, and the hands will not be very tired when playing games for a long time. I personally recommend buying the ranger RX with the optical switch version, in addition to being waterproof. There is also dustproof, but it is just the left CTRL lengthened treatment that needs to be adapted after getting started.
In addition to the ordinary version of the Ranger RX in my hand, ROG has released a lot of EVA co-branded peripherals recently. The keyboard of the EVA co-branded model is this Ranger RX. Friends who like it must not miss this set of EVA co-branded, plus ROG God With the blessing of optical synchronization lighting effects, it is very handsome for playing games!
If the desk space is not large enough to buy a 104-key conventional keyboard, and you want to get a ROG keyboard, then I suggest you buy a 68-key Magister NX series, with cherry switches and ROG self-developed NX switches as options. The NX axis is a transparent top cover, which can make the RGB effect better~
This year’s popular transparent keyboard design more or less borrows from Luofei’s 1% keyboard. This one in my hand is an upgraded version of Luofei’s 1% keyboard.
The internal electroplating layer of the frame, the transparent PC with rounded corners on the outside, achieves a transparent effect while blocking the internal structure. The keycap has a good uniform light effect, which is higher than ordinary keycaps. The shaft body is the Kaihua Box jellyfish shaft, and the middle letter The orange jellyfish axis is used in the digital area.
It supports Bluetooth and wired connections, but unfortunately there is no hot-swap. Luofei is also one of the few manufacturers in the market with better Mac key adaptability. It supports Mac/Windows system fast switching. If you like 1% design, you can rush it with friends.
Shaft body: TTC gold powder/quick silver/tea static/moon white/Ace Keycap: PBT two-color injection molding Connection method: wireless 2.4G, Bluetooth and wired three-mode key position and arrangement: 100 key position RGB backlight Others: all aluminum shell
The feel and appearance are top-notch~
This time the aluminum factory is finally an aluminum factory. It uses an all-aluminum casing instead of a plastic casing. The ski fingertip Wenchuang keycaps are the same for me~
In addition to the previously exclusive TTC tea static axis, this time also added the TTC red pupil Ace axis, friends who like high pressure axis can try it.
Disadvantages: The 100-key compact arrangement needs to be familiar with,
It is currently the only ROG keyboard that supports hot-swappable mechanical keyboards. Like the ROG Prism S Magic series, there is a DIY dot matrix light in the upper right corner, and a switch button, volume knob, lock win key and light on the left. Toggle button.
It is worth mentioning that when any left multimedia function key is pressed, the right matrix light will prompt in the form of an icon the function of the currently pressed key.
The RGB effect below is particularly cool, and there is a magnetic palm rest in the factory, so there is no need to buy an additional palm rest.
1. Does the keyboard feel fleshy?
Answer: The feeling of meat is relatively speaking. It is difficult for a novice to feel whether the large keys of the keyboard are fleshy for the first time. If the hand feels very fleshy, it means that the rebound of the large keys is relatively slow. If you have better hands-on ability, you can moisten it yourself. axis.
2. Do novices need to buy a hot-swappable keyboard?
Answer: Hot-swappable keyboards are more convenient to change the switch. If you just plan to buy a keyboard for several years, and you don’t need to change the switch, you don’t need to pursue hot-swappable keyboards too much.
3. How to change the keycap and shaft body?
Answer: Use a key puller to clamp both sides of the keycap and pull it out vertically.
If there are any common problems in the future, I will synchronize them here~
This is the end of the purchase strategy for mechanical keyboards in 2022~

I am Tank, a product manager who loves digital peripherals, I hope my content can help you quickly choose a suitable mechanical keyboard~
That's right. . . I bought a keyboard again. . . The previous Fuling FL980, the configuration is pleasing to the eye, but the 1u number pad 0 makes me feel uncomfortable, so, there is no 2u0 number key in the 98 configuration, only the cheap ass rs2, right?
But now that Double 11 is over, there are no full discounts and red envelopes, it’s really expensive
I wanted to buy the finished product directly. After all, I am a patient with advanced cancer, but because of the quality of the keycaps of the cheap ass rs2, I only bought the kit this time. Fortunately, they have a separate kit for sale. Anyway, it’s just a matter of pressing the axis, so it’s decompression
If you want to have after-sales products, you have to go to JD.com, maybe you can get unlimited refills
Here we use Beijing fans, and we also give away a leather mouse pad made in Beijing, which was sold at the seafood market for 15 yuan. The actual price in hand is 267-15=252 yuan
The daily price, excluding Jingdou, should pay 282 yuan, minus 15 yuan commission, 267 yuan for the package (Double 11 is lower, if you are not in a hurry, you can wait for Double 12)
The shaft body uses the king of cost performance——ash wood shaft V3, the purchase channel: go to Pinduoduo, you can get a coupon for watering the orchard (20% off or full discount), and you can make 100 pieces under 50 yuan (the specific price varies depending on the number) different), and then superimposed cloud flash payment 30-6.2, the actual payment is 43 yuan for 100 pieces.
The Pinduoduo link is not allowed here, let’s put it in the flagship store of Suning Tesco. The price on Double 11 is 47 yuan for 100 pieces. Double 12 everyone can squat down. But the shaft, you can buy it wherever it is cheap.
Keycaps are not easy to choose, because rs2 has a retro color scheme (it is strongly recommended that the cheap donkeys come out with a pure white kit), and I originally wanted to pack the vgn and make it a two-dimensional element, but then I thought it was too inconsistent, so let’s get a bald guy for cheap . Because it is purchased by Pinduoduo, it can still be superimposed with cloud flash payment coupons, and 38 yuan will be reduced by 6.2 yuan
Cloud QuickPass - 6.2 yuan voucher, actual payment 32.21 yuan
252+43+32=327,
How about it, it is cheaper and easier to use than the 399 finished product rs2
Let me talk about the shortcomings first, the texture of the cheap donkey rs2 is not strong, it can even be said to be poor. It’s okay from a distance, but it’s full of cheapness and lightness (the opposite is heavy), and the weight is also very light (those who like to toss can add counterweights, and its bottom case is still quite large), which is also The reason why I don't buy finished products is that the quality of the keycaps is really unbearable
Also, the keyboard is very high, so you must prepare the keyboard rest
Let's talk about the advantages, three-mode, gasket, cheap (don't talk about vgn, you buy it first and use it later)
I bought the upgraded version of the shaft seat. Since it is welded on the front side, the pads under the shaft are also in a special shape, but I don’t know if each pad under the shaft is thicker than the solder joints.
It is said that the factory satellite axis has been moistened, but I can't see the traces of moistening, it should be shallow (the opposite is thick), and friends who need it can adjust it by themselves, but it can also be used like this
I don't need to say anything about the gray wood axis v3, it is basically invincible within one yuan. Although it comes with a factory run, if you have strong hands-on ability (have time), you can run it by hand, and the effect will be better.
Lazy people choose to go directly to the computer here, and the key identification here is still very good, after all, those punctuation marks are stupid and unclear. . .
Some people say that the T-shaped design of v3 is easy to rot the bottom of the keycap, so here is a summary. The captor's keycap is tight like that, have you ever seen the shaft pulled out, have you ever seen its ass rotten?
Finally, put on the keycaps of the bald man. There is nothing to say about the keycaps. What can I say for 30 yuan?
However, because the keyboard is too thick, it does not look good on xda
Especially the knob here, the knob is a bit higher than the keycap
Well, this set of keycaps has to go to the seafood market again, go buy a set of original low light
By the way, if you complain about this keyboard, can't you make a low point? I can't even reach your height
How about it, is it cheap enough (Double 12 should be able to achieve below 300), simple enough, personally feel that it is worthwhile to experience a gasket in the early 300s
Of course, I asked for 0 of 2u, so I had to choose cheap donkeys. If there is no requirement for this, then brands such as Yufumaicong are also worth considering.
Welcome everyone to provide a cheaper kit solution in the comment area

If you are planning to build your own mechanical keyboard, one of the most important decisions you will need to make is choosing the right mechanical key switches. The type of key switches you select will greatly impact the overall performance and typing experience of your keyboard. In this article, we will provide you with a comprehensive guide to help you understand the different types of key switches available and assist you in making an informed decision.
Understanding Mechanical Key Switches:
Mechanical key switches are the heart and soul of a mechanical keyboard. They are responsible for registering keystrokes and providing tactile feedback. There are three main types of mechanical key switches available in the market today: linear, tactile, and clicky.
1. Linear Switches:
Linear switches have a smooth keystroke without any tactile bump or audible click. They are popular among gamers due to their fast and smooth actuation. When a linear switch is pressed, it moves straight down and registers the keystroke. If you prefer a quieter and more consistent typing experience, linear switches might be the right choice for you.
2. Tactile Switches:
Tactile switches provide a noticeable bump when pressed. This bump provides tactile feedback, which can be beneficial for touch typists as it helps them determine when a key has been actuated. The bump can occur at different points in the key press, and this is referred to as the actuation point. Tactile switches are suitable for those who prefer a more pronounced typing experience and who want to ensure each keystroke has been registered accurately.
3. Clicky Switches:
Clicky switches are similar to tactile switches in that they provide a tactile bump. However, what sets them apart is the audible click sound they produce when pressed. This clicking sound is satisfying for many typists and can provide an additional level of feedback. However, the noise can be bothersome for some, particularly in office environments or shared spaces.
Factors to Consider when Choosing Key Switches:
When selecting the right mechanical key switches for your keyboard, there are a few factors you should keep in mind:
1. Typing Style:
Consider your typing style and preferences. If you type with a heavy hand or prefer a more pronounced tactile feedback, tactile or clicky switches might be ideal. Conversely, if you have a light touch or prefer a smoother keystroke, linear switches could be a better fit.
2. Noise Level:
Think about the environment in which you will be using your keyboard. If noise is a concern, you may want to choose linear or tactile switches, as they tend to be quieter than clicky switches.
3. Use Case:
Consider how you will primarily be using your keyboard. Are you a gamer or typist? Different key switches are suited for different purposes, so selecting switches that align with your specific use case can enhance your overall experience.
When it comes to building an OEM mechanical keyboard, selecting the right key switches is crucial. Building your own mechanical keyboard is a rewarding and exciting endeavor. It allows you to customize and personalize your typing experience, ensuring optimal comfort and efficiency. In this article, we will guide you through the process of assembling the keyboard's frame and base, providing step-by-step instructions and insights on how to create your own OEM mechanical keyboard.
First and foremost, it is essential to gather all the necessary tools and components before commencing the assembly process. These include the keyboard frame, base plate, switches, keycaps, stabilizers, PCB (Printed Circuit Board), a soldering iron, solder wire, keycap puller, tweezers, and a screwdriver.
To begin, take the keyboard frame and align it with the base plate. Ensure that the screw holes on the frame match perfectly with those on the base plate. Once aligned, secure them together using the provided screws and a screwdriver. This step is crucial as it forms the foundation of your keyboard, providing stability and durability.
Next, it is time to install the switches onto the PCB. Place the PCB over the base plate, ensuring that the switches' pins are aligned with the corresponding holes on the PCB. Gently push each switch into its designated position, ensuring a snug fit. Take your time during this process to avoid any damage to the switches or the PCB.
After installing the switches, it is time to install the stabilizers. Stabilizers are essential for ensuring smooth and consistent key presses, particularly for larger keys such as the spacebar, enter key, and shift keys. Insert the stabilizers into their designated slots on the PCB and secure them using the provided clips or screws. Make sure they are firmly in place to prevent any unwanted rattling or wobbling.
Once the switches and stabilizers are securely installed, it is time to attach the keycaps. Keycaps come in various shapes and sizes, allowing for endless customization options. Place each keycap over its corresponding switch, ensuring that they fit perfectly and are aligned correctly. If any keycaps require additional force to install, gently press down using the keycap puller or your fingers, taking care not to damage the switch or the keycap.
Now that the keyboard's frame, base plate, switches, stabilizers, and keycaps are all assembled, it is time to test the functionality of your OEM mechanical keyboard. Connect the keyboard to your computer via the USB cable provided and ensure that all keys register correctly. Test each key individually to ensure there are no inconsistencies or issues.
If any keys fail to register, it is likely due to a faulty switch or a loose connection. In such cases, carefully inspect the affected area, re-solder any loose connections, or replace any faulty switches if necessary.
Congratulations! You have successfully assembled your very own OEM mechanical keyboard. Enjoy the satisfaction of typing on a personalized keyboard designed to meet your unique preferences and needs. Installing and Soldering the Mechanical Key Switches: A Comprehensive Guide by Keyceo Tech
Building a mechanical keyboard from scratch can be a rewarding experience for keyboard enthusiasts. In this article, we will guide you through the process of installing and soldering the mechanical key switches, using our OEM mechanical keyboard kit. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned DIY-er, our step-by-step instructions will help you create a personalized mechanical keyboard that suits your preferences.
Choosing the Right Mechanical Key Switches:
Before diving into the installation process, it is crucial to select the appropriate mechanical key switches for your keyboard. Keyceo Tech offers a wide selection of high-quality switches, ranging from tactile to linear and even clicky switches. Consider factors such as actuation force, travel distance, and sound preference while making your choice.
Preparing the Keyboard Plate:
To start, ensure you have a compatible keyboard plate that matches the key switches you have selected. Keyceo Tech provides OEM keyboard plates, designed to accommodate various switch types. Place the plate on a stable surface and insert the switches into their designated slots, making sure they are aligned correctly.
Soldering the Key Switches:
Now, it's time to solder the switches in place. Prepare your soldering iron and solder wire, ensuring they are clean and in good condition. Begin by heating the soldering iron and melting a small amount of solder on its tip. Gently touch the soldering iron to the contact points on the keyboard PCB (printed circuit board) and the corresponding switch pins, ensuring a strong and secure connection.
It is essential to exercise caution while soldering. Apply just enough solder to create a reliable joint without causing any damage. Be mindful of the temperature and time your soldering iron remains in contact with the components to avoid overheating and potential harm to the keyboard.
Testing the Mechanical Key Switches:
After soldering all the switches in place, it is advisable to test their functionality before proceeding further. Connect the keyboard to a computer and verify that each key press registers accurately. Keyceo Tech's OEM mechanical keyboards come with a reliable software tool that allows you to fine-tune and customize the keyboard layout, ensuring optimal performance.
Finishing Touches:
Once you have confirmed that all mechanical key switches are working correctly, it's time to complete the assembly of your mechanical keyboard.
