What do i look for while buying a mouse?

DPI. This refers to the amount of movement in the mouse that corresponds to an amount of movement in the cursor or whatever is being controlled by the mouse. This is useful for different applications, but commonly used in games, where you may want fast movement for run-and-gun and slow movement for sniping, where you want fine control. So a lower DPI means more mouse movement for a given movement on screen. It could be useful on a small desk, but try it first, as a higher DPI means a finer level of control is required. This can become tiring for normal work.Weight. This is about choice more than anything. The differences in inertia due to different masses in the mouse means a different level of force required for it to move. Again, this can help when doing fine control stuff, as you do not want the mouse skittering around when doing pixel level activities - so a heavier mouse could help. Very subjective.Wireless mice come in two main flavours, 2.6ghz and bluetooth. Both require batteries or charging from time to time. Bluetooth is sometimes preferred with laptops if it already supports bluetooth, so you do not need to sacrifice a usb port for a mouse usb dongle. Otherwise there is not much benefit in bluetooth imo

Mouse Won't Work AT ALL, And...?

lol well at this point it would help if you knew how to use the keyboard to access things on your pc, but since we dont lets start by checking the mouse cables HEAD that you plug into your pc, see if any of the pins are bent, if theres nothing wrong there then unplug the mouse and get a 2nd mouse, plug it in and see if its still not working, if you can plug a working mouse into your pc and it still doesnt move then your pc has frozen up, at this point you will need to service it

i have a Toshiba laptop, i use a mouse so don't have to use touchpad then sooner later my mouse stop working ?

Sounds to me like you are having a problem with protocals. In otherwords, the priority of the mouse is getting lost. Is this a wired mouse or a fiber optic? Some have quirks that need to work out.

Is light from a laser pointer & mouse really dangerous & blind you??

These type of devices especially pointers cause irreversible retina damage. If you do it long enough and often enough you can lose your vision. The light that emanates from the mouse is not a dangerous, however avoid it at all costs.

How long does an optical mouse last?

Considering how hard you & your sister are on computer stuff, I would say 1/2 what it would last most. Or maybe 1/3 ; ) Sorry, could not resist. Seriously though. the wire on the wired mouse will likely be the thing to go when it goes. The batteries on a wireless mouse only last for 3 to 9 months on average. you should shut them off if you are not going to use them for awhile to conserve. But generally they are worth the buy, since the mouse with the wheel often gives you many more problems & are more of a pain to use. You can find a cheap one at like rite aid & different little carry all shops like that.

How do i safe a mouse from a sticky trap ?

You will need plenty of vegetable oil and a Popsicle stick or similar tool. Pour the oil liberally around the mouse's body. The oil dissolves the glue, the stick helps you to pry the mouse off the glue-trap. Be careful where your hands are, this is one mouse that is terrified and in a lot of pain. it will bite. Please be patient, if you work too fast, you will cause the mouse further damage. I heard of one case where the mouse fought so hard to free itself from a glue-trap that it ripped open it's abdominal cavity and literally spilled it's guts. I commend you for your effort, but do not be surprised if the mouse still dies in spite of your effort. This is a wild animal you are dealing with and it might die of shock. The person who invented these devices (glue-traps) should be shot and peed on. These are the cruelest of killing methods.
