I guess you need to clean it. Open the cover and clean inside. You can wash the rubber ball with soap. Well if you have an optical mouse, there is something wrong with the mouse. You need to replace it

as long as the mouse isnt in the room as the pest thing it shoudl be fine. just keep ur mouse in another room. i use shredded mail/news paper and sometimes carefresh for my pregnant mice lift up the tail and look for balls itll be really obvious. on babies though its a bit harder. look up pictures online for the babies

Hi There, The only advantage to using a "wireless" mouse is to eliminate the USB wire from the mouse to the front or back of your computer. I use both kinds and either works fine. The wireless use a small transmitter that plugs into a USB port (so you lose the port in any case) A wireless mouse connects quickly and normally does not even need any drivers installed. You "sync up" once and from there on it's automatic. The mouse has a small (AA or AAA) battery that will last from 6 to 8 months. The accuracy is similar to a corded mouse.
