Mouse Is Not Working, How Do You Fix It?

Mouse Is Not Working, How Do You Fix It? 1

Did you try a different mouse pad? Your problem might be as simple as the mouse can no longer track over a particular surface smoothly. Likewise, is the mouse standard(mechanical roller ball type) or optical? Optical tend to be more forgiving of irregular surface areas. Good Luck.

mouse lags in windows 7

Do you have pets? One of the most common problems I have seen with an optical mouse in a house with pets is that hair gets in the hole where the light is. Turn the mouse over and look in the hole under good light. Even a single hair can cause the sensor to work improperly.

Is the Macbook Air trackpad good enough not to need a mouse?

Is the Macbook Air trackpad good enough not to need a mouse?Yes, for most things, you really donu2019t need a mouse. Even for most daily stuff in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustratoru2026The only thing I find is easier on the Mac with a mouse is video editing (Final Cut Pro). I just find dragging to mark clips easier with the mouse. I use Macbooks and Widows laptops about 50:50, and the first Windows laptop I have come across which really has a Mac-like trackpad which I can use with the same ease and smoothness as the MacBooku2019s is the Lenovo Yoga 910 Iu2019m typing on right now. I can work all day with just the trackpad and the touchscreen. The trackpads on all my other Windows machines (about six of them at the moment) are okay to use in an emergency, just barely - but Iu2019d never dream of using them instead of a mouse. That would drive me nuts. But not the Yoga 910. Thatu2019s actually a really good piece of hardware. Is the Macbook Air trackpad good enough not to need a mouse?

No keyboard or mouse during Windows 10 reInstall

I found the solution myself, I installed window from a USB drive after creating the installation media using the Media Creation Tool. I still do not know what the problem was, maybe windows wiped the drivers for the mouse and keyboard? Here is the download link the to the Media Creation Tool. It requires a minimum of an 8GB USB Drive (I just used a 32GB Class 10 SD Card with a USB 2. 0 Reader.

Raspbian 4.13 on Pi2 - Mouse issues

I doubt you are going to find a solution. Most standard wireless USB HID devices (keyboards/mice) should just work out of the box. Occasionally there is one which wo not , but looking for a different driver wo not change anything unless the device is, e.g., an elaborate gaming mouse (in which case you may never find a driver, since most manufacturers do not provide one). Unless the system is heavily taxed at the same time this happens (have a look at CPU usage in top or something), this sounds like radio interference. You could try replacing the batteries in the mouse with new ones. If they are already new, you are out of luck; you will have to try a different mouse.

Can you accurately describe how the optics of an optical mouse works?

Developed by Agilent Technologies and introduced to the world in late 1999, the optical mouse actually uses a tiny camera to take 1,500 pictures every second. Able to work on almost any surface, the mouse has a small, red light-emitting diode (LED) that bounces light off that surface onto a complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) sensor. The CMOS sensor sends each image to a digital signal processor (DSP) for analysis. The DSP, operating at 18 MIPS (million instructions per second), is able to detect patterns in the images and see how those patterns have moved since the previous image. Based on the change in patterns over a sequence of images, the DSP determines how far the mouse has moved and sends the corresponding coordinates to the computer. The computer moves the cursor on the screen based on the coordinates received from the mouse. This happens hundreds of times each second, making the cursor appear to move very smoothly

Computer mouse having a hard time gliding. is it possible to wear out the surface under the mouse?

I have a rollerless mouse that is not wireless, but uses the eye on the bottom of the mouse. In my case I use it on the living room table. The table is finished but shows the wood grains and knots in the wood, yet it is smooth to the feel. If I move my mouse across my table the curser will move freely until I get to one of the knots in the wood, and it stops point blank. If I relocate the mouse to another spot on the table it will take back off and move until I hit the knot again. The only thing I can think of is that the dark color of the knot confuses the eye on the bottom of the mouse into thinking it hit a blank area and cannot read the movements. Makes for aggrivating times when gaming. "I just got shot in the face because my mouse would not move."
