What Is the Best Way to Catch a Mouse in My Kitchen?

Sometimes it will be dead, if it is the old-fashioned type where the wire flips forward. Other times the wire does not injure it enough or there are traps that just close and ones that are sticky. Those you can just throw out, or club the mouse with a stick, or drop it in a bucket of water to drown. I prefer to put them outside, where something else will finish them off

Buy more traps. Place a very tiny bit of peanut butter in the lever hole and set the trap perpendicular to an exterior wall. Mice and rats scurry along walls because their eyesight is not very good. If you place the trigger part of the spring trap toward the wall and only use a tiny tiny amount of food, the mouse wo not miss it, and it will struggle to get the food and spring the trap. More traps will solve your problem faster. Eventually, the youngest will starve to death if the parents do not harvest food. Poison will only kill a few mice, and their decompostion will really stink up your house.

well if both mice are not working then that probably means there's something wrong with the PS-2 port for mice... unless its a USB port, but then again that may also be broken... if your father fixes computers then he would probably know what to do... All I can really determine from what you typed though is that its definitely whatever port you are plugging the mouse into.

Maybe your mouse is not in range of the USB. Move the mouse closer to the USB, and see if it works. Also, make sure it's installed. Most mouses do not need an installation, but some do. You can go to my computer, and click on the USB drive that it's plugged into to see if you can open it that way. It should say something like "Removable Drive."
