Can I Put Heavy Keyboard on the Macbook Pro?

Can I Put Heavy Keyboard on the Macbook Pro? 1

The weight of the keyboard is one thing. I have seen students put a stack of textbooks on top of their MacBook laptops without any damage. I can not tell you what the weight was nor do I want to embark on a testing procedure to find out what its weight tolerance is.However, what I have found is that it's not so much the weight, but the activity that impacts the MacBook. I have seen MacBook laptops used as everything from a cafeteria tray to a seat cushion to even a mirror for putting on makeup. These machines were returned to our depot for repair because of what they was done to them, not what was placed on them.In your case, you want to use this as a keyboard stand for a mechanical keyboard (gaming perhaps?) so you will be "pounding" on this keyboard for any length of time. The (rethorical) question is - is this worth it? Is a damaged top case worth this activity? I can tell you that these assemblies (keyboard, case, track pad, etc.) are not covered under Apple warranty when damaged and it's quite expensive to repair. I would find another solution

How to clean under the keys of the keyboard?

Take out the keyboard and wash it. Remove kb. (Depending on the model) 1. Look for any instructions about your laptop on the internet to remove the keyboard. a. Usually there are 2-3 screws on the bottom that you loosen. (there is a kb icon next to the screws) b. Then a latch on the keyboard itself to fully remove it. c. There is a ribbon cable that attaches to kb to the motherboard. The connector usually is a thing you can pop up with a fingernail or screwdriver where the ribbon cable inserts into. 2. Once removed. Immerse kb in warm mild soapy solution for several hours. 3. Let dry. 4. Re-install the kb. Or if you can identify the kb (part #, model #, etc.) and find someone selling it, then just buy a new one to install.

keyboard and mouse lock in windows 7 during simulations

If you press Windows LIt will lock your PC and the background applications will still work at the required processor level. If there are other users they can log in and do various work while your job still chugs along in the background, it is up to you.Just set a password on the account to stop people from accessing it. Also you could use ClearLock without the need to Windows Lock the PC, and still set a password on it, while you see what is happening.I am not sure if there are applications that just lock the keyboard, without locking the computer/screen.. but one could be written in .NET pretty quickly
