Keyboard and mouse don't work in GUI

QuestionAnswerI assume you are using physical wires to connect your keyboard and mouse to Rpi. But if you are using wireless USB dongles, make sure you do not have Windows/Mac nearby, also with wireless stuff confusing Rpi. And you can switch off all WinPC/Mac, and try to plug your keyboard mouse dongles (or one for two) to your PC/Mac to make sure the keyboard and mouse are no run out of batteries, or not adequately charged. So now you do not VNC/SSH. Perhaps you should check the Desktop Rpi Config that VNC/SSH are disabled

How can I clean my sticky keyboard?

You can try Cyber putty which is fairly good, but if its a spillage you may need to "wash" your keyboard. Sounds daunting, but its not too hard. Unplug the keyboard, take it apart carefully and remove the top half (which has the keys). The lower half should have the membrane that controls the keyboard. If this has juice on it you can wipe it carefully. The top half with the keys can (normally) be fully immersed as it does not contain any electronic parts so can be washed safely Make sure it is fully dry before reassembling the pieces, I would recommend 24hrs of dry time. If you have an airing cupboard put it in there. Good luck.

It is what you plug into the back of the keyboard and into the wall to give the instrument power. So yes, you do need an adapter to play if you want to hear it

What is the best and simplest way to clean your laptop keyboard?

For crumbs get compressed air. It works great. Just go to the office supply store and ask for it. They should have it and its relatively cheap. Then just hook on the little tube to the spray cap and spray away. Just dont get it too close because it will leave little wet marks on the keyboard because it is so cold when it comes out. If you have something sticky I would use clorox wipes or a paper towel with windex on it. It works great!

why the keys of a keyboard are not in right order?

Depends on what you think is the "right order" The reason we have QWERTY organization goes back to early mechanical typewriters. Fast typists could easily jam up the mechanism, so the letters were rearranged to slow them down. There have been many alternatives over the years, the Dvorak layout being most commonly found. It's been shown to allow for faster typing, but it takes significant learning and finding a keyboard in that arrangement, or software that will remap the keyboard.
