Turn it right way up so it can dry out properly. Use a hair dryer on low heat and blow it at the keyboard to try and force out any trapped water. Leave it for about a week before trying it again. Do not be tempted to use it sooner.

I agree that they do it for warmth. I also got a box (although I took it one step further and placed a heating pad under the blanket inside the box at first. the room really was very chilly.)But they also love attention. Complete, undivided attention. So when O'Toole would stretch out over my keyboard, he knew that (a) I would have to stop whatever I was doing, and (b) That he would receive attention (good or bad, he did not care; he's a cat.)I pretty much did the "pick him up and place him elsewhere" routine and was 100% consistent with it. However, when I put him in his box, I would talk to him and pet him a while so he would be complacent and not jump right back on the keyboard. He found that it was more rewarding to just go to his box (and I made sure that when he did, I would fuss over him in a good way) than to get on the keyboard.

Yes, it all depends on the quality of the sounds. Yamaha keyboards have WAV files (now probably mp4 format) that are digitised recordings of an actual grand piano key being played, and this technology is replicated for every key on the keyboard. This gives an incredibly realistic piano sound from an electronic keyboard. As you are probably aware, the MIDI technology means that the keyboard is much more adaptable then an acoustic instrument and can easily be interfaced with other equipment, thus greatly increasing it's versatility and usefulness.
