the keyboard is not plugged into a bootable usb slot. Without the drivers, it cannot run. On older machines, windows loads the drivers, but on newer ones with newer usb ports, the drivers are loaded on boot. Try using a different usb slot.usually an issue when the keyboard is plugged into a front usb slot. .so make sure it is plugged into the back. Also, check the bios and look for an option to enable usb boot

Mac OS X has all this built-in to the OS. Go to System prefs -> International. Click the Input menu. At the bottom, tick Show input menu in menu bar. Tick the boxes in front of the languages you want to use. To set the keyboard to the one you want to use, go to the menu bar at the top right and select the language you want. To use the virtual keyboard go to the same menu and select Show keyboard viewer at the bottom. A small keyboard will be displayed which corresponds to your actual keyboard you can use or you can click the keys on it to type.
